You are a professional counselor specializing in the treatment of children.  You have decided to implement an 8-week parenting program for divorcees.  How would you teach parenting skills from the perspective of either (choose) Erikson’s theory or Piaget’s theory with the participants regarding each age level of needs: preschool, school-age, and adolescent. Some of the participants hope to begin family sessions with you once the program has ended. How will you evaluate the impact of the divorce on children in each age level: preschool, school-age, and adolescent?

(This will need a reference)

Single-parent households and an increase in women in the workforce have both contributed to a significant increase in alternative care giving situations like day care or nursery school. Based on your understanding of attachment theory, how does this affect children?  Now, discuss ethical and cultural strategies for promoting resilience, development, and wellness in early childhood.

Political Science – Establishing a Local Government

A privately owned island off the coast of Florida has been left to you by the eccentric owner who recently died. The island is large enough for several small communities to be developed. You want to start off on the right foot by establishing a local government, a judicial system, and a law enforcement system. The only stipulation is that you cannot be the dictator of the island.

For the Project, you will describe the following points:

  • the type of local government you would establish (e.g., county, city),
  • the form of that government (e.g., township, municipal charter),
  • the management system (e.g., commission, mayor, council),
  • how leadership positions would be instated (e.g., appointment, election),
  • the type of law enforcement and judicial system you would put into place, and
  • your rehabilitation system for any criminal offender.

You can mix and match your government, judicial, and law enforcement decisions, but you must fully explain the reasons why you chose the types of systems. You must also address how your government would work with other governments/agencies and in what ways.

Your mini project must be at least three full pages in length, not including your title page and reference page. Outside sources are not a requirement. If you do not need to use any outside sources, you do not need to include a reference page, but if you do choose to use them, they must be cited and referenced according to APA. In addition to the title page and possible reference page, be sure to follow all other APA formatting standards (Times New Roman, 12-point font; double spacing; running head; and 1-inch margins).

Economic Growth and Alternative Metrics

Create a PowerPoint presentation of 12-15 slides (title and reference slides are not including in this count) discussing Economic Growth and Market Dynamics. Include the following:

1.  Explain what GDP is and how is it measured.

2.  Evaluate the validity of using GDP as a measure of economic output.

3.  Assess the validity of using GDP as a measure of social progress. Which elements (e.g., education levels, carbon dioxide emissions, gender/racial inequality) does GDP not consider?

4.  Identify and describe two alternative (multidimensional) metrics that take into consideration more than the exchange value of economic output. Do those metrics capture social progress/well-being? Explain.

5.  Explain if public officials focus exclusively—or even principally—on economic growth as a measure of economic policy success. Which other factors are also salient? Why?

Be sure to include graphs, charts and other visuals in your presentation that will enhance your analysis. Include speaker notes below each content-related slide that represent what would be said if giving the presentation in person. Expand upon the information included in the slide and do not simply restate it. Please ensure the speaker notes include 50-75 words per slide.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, including an APA formatted reference slide,

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Overview

To measure the financial performance of any company, it is important to analyze its four key financial statements: balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and shareholders’ equity statements. In this assignment, you will:

  • Visually present the balance sheet to depict what each company owns and what it owes over the past three years.
  • Visually present the income statement to depict how much money a company made and spent over the past three years.

The visual presentation and analysis will help you understand and compare the performance of both the companies to be acquired and eventually will help you build your recommendation for the acquisition.

Prompt

Use the provided data sets of Company A and Company B to create data visualizations of their financial performance in Power BI. Then, based on the visualizations, write an executive summary interpreting the financial performance of Company A and Company B. Include screenshots from your data visualizations as needed in your summary. Follow the directions in the Power BI Executive Summary Assignment User Manual.

Specifically, you must address the following criteria:

  1. Assets, Liability, and Equity: Summarize how the assets, liabilities, and owner’s equity have changed over three years for Company A and Company B. Include screenshots of your data visualization as follows:
    1. Company A: In Power BI, use the provided balance sheet and construct a set of three clustered column charts, representing:
      1. The assets of Company A as represented in the data during each of the three years
      2. The liabilities and owners’ equity over the same three years
    2. Company B: In Power BI, use the provided balance sheet and construct a set of three stacked column charts, representing:
      1. The assets of Company B as represented in the data during each of the three years
      2. The liabilities and owners’ equity over the same three years
  2. Revenue and Earnings: Use the provided income statements to summarize the gross revenue and net earnings for Company A and Company B over three years. Include screenshots of your data visualization as follows:
    1. Company A: In Power BI, use the provided Company A Financials document and construct a line chart illustrating the visual relationship of revenue, gross profit, total expenses, earnings before tax, net earnings, and taxes.
    2. Company B: In Power BI, use the provided Company B Financials document and construct a line chart illustrating the visual relationship of revenue, gross profit, total expenses, earnings before tax, net earnings, and taxes.
  3. Conclusion : Summarize your observations about the financial performance of both companies. Include any insights you may have about their performance trends or how they have performed compared to each other over the past three years.

Week 4 Excel Data Validation

This assignment provides you an opportunity to utilize the functions and tools of Excel to solve a basic analytics scenario: data validation.  The purpose of this assignment is to use Excel to quickly identify the possible errors within the database, and not to visually examine all 6,000+ database records.

The HR tab in Hospital.xlsx downloadfile contains the employee records downloaded from the Human Resource database of a fictitious hospital. As with any acquired data, you must be aware of the limitations of your dataset.

The sourcing database for Hospital.xlsx has a limit of twenty (20) characters for the Address 1 and Address 2 fields.  Therefore, truncated addresses are not considered errors. The only errors in the Address fields that can be easily identified in Excel would be a missing address or an address of insufficient length to contain a deliverable address. Six characters is the minimum length for an address (e.g. “1 U St”.)

To accurately identify the possible errors in the Address 1 field, through Excel, you would need to create a parsing algorithm to correctly determine the components of an address including the primary address number, pre-directional, street name, suffix, post-directional, secondary address identifier, and secondary address.  Compound this with the Address 1 truncation issue and the creation of such an algorithm would be way too advanced for this course.  Therefore, there are NO Address 1 fields errors except a missing address or an address of insufficient length to contain a deliverable address.

Data is required in all fields except Address 2 and Phone. If a phone number is entered it must adhere to the 999-999-9999 format.  No rules concerning cases exist for any field.

Both five-digit zip codes and zip+4 zip codes are allowed in the Postal Code field.  Also, remember that a zip code may have more than one authorized city or spelling. Only one US zip code in Arizona (85142) crosses county lines.

On the Errors tab in Hospital.xlsx downloadfile, document each error by identifying the location of the error (ID Number), the type of error (omission, range, data entry, etc.), the correct information if known, and the formula used to identify the error.  You receive 1/2 point for each error record identified; i.e. even if a record contains more than one error, you receive only 1/2 point for that record. At least 100 data error records exist in this file.  Extra credit is available.

Fifty percent of the score for this assignment is using Excel functionality correctly, e.g.. using functions such as LEN, TRIM, CONCATENATE, IF and Boolean logic, and lookup, match and index logic.  A well done assignment is a combination of finding a large number of erroneous records and doing it using Excel logic as opposed to manually identifying erroneous records.

An additional file name Zipcode.xlsx downloadis available as a reference.

Remember, use Excel to sort and filter the database. Also, use the lookup and reference; text; and logical functions to complete this assignment. If you do not explain how the error was identified, you do not get credit for the error.

Wk 2 Discussion Response 1

Different scientists in different fields in psychology came up with various theories to understand the human personality. Sigmund Freud and Gordon Allport were examples of those who came with such theories, namely, the psychoanalytic and trait theories (Thompson, 2018). While these theories explain different thoughts on the human personality, the two share a similarity as much as they differ from each other, which leads me to lean towards the trait theory as opposed to Freud’s psychoanalytic theory.

The most significant difference between Freud’s and Allport’s theories is their mode of study. Freud focused the psychoanalytic theory on how one’s early childhood experiences influence one’s adult mental health and developed personality; Freud focused his study on the unconscious mind by explaining how conflict led to adult personality (Cervone & Pervin, 2019a). On the other hand, Allport focused the trait theory on how a conscious person interacted with others and developed traits through life that led to his personality developing fully at adulthood (Cervone & Pervin, 2019b). Allport’s approach led to the continuity of how people develop their personalities through their lives.

A similarity between the two theories is that the two theories focus on how behavior influences personality development in agreement with the existence of the unconscious mind. Both theorists agree that there is the existence of the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind. Sigmund and Allport both explain that actions from the unconscious mind influence how one’s personality.

While the two differ in the mode of study, I believe that the trait theory argues towards personality over the psychoanalytic theory. The trait theory is more practical and measurable in seeing how one develops a personality. As a person picks up each trait through life, one observes how each trait adds to one’s personality over the psychoanalytic theory that banks on early childhood experiences. A person will not understand another’s personality through this theory if they have not spent their childhoods together to see these experiences develop and form their personality.

Princ of Mkt Marketing plan (2)

Choosing an Organization

You may choose any known organization (for-profit, not-for-profit, small, medium, large, existing, new start-up, established organizations are all permitted) or make one up for your Plan. If you make up your own organization, you will need to find (and reference where applicable) information that is relevant to this type of organization. If you are unsure, it is strongly suggested that you use an existing company. Focus on one or two major products/services rather than the whole organization.

Writing the Plan

Follow the report format for the Marketing Plan closely. Write in business report format using full paragraphs unless otherwise stated. It is crucial to follow various major concepts in the textbook to devise your plan and strategy for each section. In other words, use major parts of each chapter to discuss details for each section.  The length of the assignment should be between 8-10 pages, not including an appendix. A minimum of 3 scholarly sources including your textbook must be cited using any recognized citation style. Use in-text citations throughout the paper.

It is recommended that you review the grading rubric attached to this dropbox before submitting your assignment.
