1.One of my pet project type technologies is blockchain. As many of your are probably aware of bitcoin now, value and the transfer of wealth is but one part of their use case. Medical, personal, supply chain management and many, many other uses can help to make this technology a real benefit to any organization. One of the fundamental reasons to use this technology is its security. How does the information on the blockchain remain secure?

2.I reviewed Microsoft project manager and the PMI website. I can honestly say I am not well versed with these nor do I have a well-defined skill set for using various software tools. Up until recently, aside from school, I have not had to utilize computer or programs much since my job has primarily been a physical job. I am familiar with some Microsoft products and I like how I can easily find assistance when needed. The project manager seems to have many templates that can be used to get started for people like myself who do not have much experience with creating even PowerPoints from nothing. Project management looks as though it makes it easy to analyze resources, budgets, and timelines. The PMI website seems to be a very resourceful tool. One thing I noticed is the resources that help a person get certified. I am new to project management and am curious to see what comes of this course and looking further into the PMI resources including possibly adding a certification to my resume. If I were to use the programs, I would continue my use with the Microsoft version of the product since I am somewhat familiar with their products. I am more of an old school write everything down rather than put it on an electronic kind of person but am making efforts to conform to the dependency on electronics to operate business functions. Electronic copies are easier to modify and store many files where paper takes up a lot of space which is valuable. I see some struggles for myself with both since I am not th

3. To be honest all the software tools provided to us through the course syllabus are new to me. I had never been familiar with utilizing them prior to beginning this class. After getting to know the software tools I have to admit I was impressed with Microsoft Project 2010. I like how you can easily recognize that it is a desktop application that can be accessed pretty much anywhere. You can become familiar with various tasks and get to communicate with partners of the venture. I could see myself getting used to this application as it looks comprehendable and basic. I am not much of a computer person so this tool is the perfect pick for me. This tool offers helpful formats and provides the dates of goals given (Allan, 2004). Microsoft extend allows project managers to draw in and place notes and what needs to be addressed. They are given the privelege to investigate and plan various courses and events. 

I also enjoyed using the Intuit QuickBase. This tool would help when having meetings and the exchange of significant information to the venture partners. The data is easily displayed so the venture partners can get to business. A challenge to this tool would be that the data might not be strong enough or placed to where the venture partners understand it. This could stall when the work gets done and requires more time and effort. If I had to choose I would depend on the Microsoft applications since I have used Microsoft my whole life. It is what I am comfortable with. 

Telecommunications Network Security(Please read question first)

The Acme Corporation is a new startup that wishes to sell their new phone, called Acmephone, to the public. Acmephone plans to offer two options.

1) a secure version of the phone designed for business organizations called the Acmephone B+, and

2) a highly secure version of the phone designed for the government, called the Acmephone G+.

Due to the fear of corporate espionage and government security requirements, there are many security concerns that must be addressed. As a network security professional, you have been employed to design a network infrastructure for their two campuses located in Atlanta and Cincinnati based upon the following specifications:

1. There needs to be a constant connection between the two locations that can carry at least 50 Mbps of data.

2. Each facility has three floors. The buildings are rectangular with each floor

350’x350’.

3. There will be 200 network connections on each floor with an additional 100 network connections in the data centers located on the third floor of each building.

4. The primary data center will be located at the Atlanta location.

5. There will be a failover data center at the Cincinnati location.

6. Each location should be protected from intrusions that are not limited to state change attacks.

7. The Atlanta location will house the two secure development teams. As such, it will need the a greater level of security. The primary database servers and the corporate Web servers will be housed at that location as well.

8. Database servers will also be located at the Cincinnati site as well.

9. All servers must have redundancy.

10. The solution must have a plan to verify security measures.

Your task is to develop a report addressing the details of the secure network infrastructure design that meets the requirements above. Your submission must address the following items. Please provide as much details as possible.

1. Create a network drawing, specific to Acme Corporation, listing the network’s topology including any necessary hardware. Your drawing should be detailed enough and show how the topology is interconnected. Viewing this diagram should give the reader detailed understanding about the Acme network environment.

2. Address any recommended cabling for this installation.

3. Recommend wiring closets for both campuses and their configuration wherever you determine they are needed.

4. Recommend ways to ensure that the network is safe from being attacked.

5. Make recommendations for laying traps to stop attackers and prevent damage to the Acme network infrastructure.

6. Include recommendations for WAN connections that takes into considerations the geographical factor of the two locations.

7. Include recommendations for wireless technology and the type of wireless communications to be used in both locations.

8. Include recommendations for any technology needed in the data center for high availability.

9. Justify your recommendations with external sources referenced using APA

format.

Clinical Field Experience C: Intervention

 

English language arts is an academic area that can be challenging for many students due to comprehension and writing difficulties. When planning interventions, it is first important to identify where and why the student struggles. With this information, the appropriate tier of intervention can be addressed. Understanding the tiers of intervention can help to differentiate struggles associated with content, application, or delivery.

Allocate at least 3 hours in the field to support this field experience.

Collaborate with the mentor teacher to create an intervention plan for the student/s identified in Clinical Field Experience B. Base the plan on your own observational data, as well as other assessment data the mentor teacher has available. Discuss with the mentor an upcoming grade level ELA lesson or activity during which you can implement applicable interventions from the plan.

Include the following in your plan:

  • The names and grade levels of the students for whom the plan is designed. (Continue to use pseudonyms to maintain student confidentiality.)
  • The tier of RTI (1, 2, or 3).
  • A brief description of 1-2 intervention strategies for the student/s, and how each supports the identified ELA challenges.
  • Materials needed and procedures for each intervention strategy.

Use any remaining field experience hours to assist the mentor teacher in providing instruction and support to the class.

Upon completing the intervention plan, continue to collaborate with the mentor teacher to ensure the plan will appropriately meet the needs of the student/s identified. Incorporate feedback accordingly.

In 250-500 words, summarize and reflect upon your conversations and instructional support. Address how your mentor teacher plans for and reflects upon intervention choices in his or her own classroom and explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
