 Mind Tools. com (n.d.) As a Healthcare Leader, I scored 68 on the How Good Are Your Leadership Skills. When assigning task, I often take into consideration people’s skills and interest. I never doubt my ability to succeed, and I expect most of the time nothing less than their very best. I expect my people to work harder than I do sometimes. Most of time when someone is upset, I show empathy and compassion for others. When circumstances change, I rarely struggle with what to do. Often and most of the time I feel personal feelings do not belong in the workday. Time spent worrying about team morale is not productive (Coffee Break Course, 2020).

Sometimes my actions show what I want from people (Mind Tools.com, n.d.). Working with a team, I encourage most people to apply their talents to the project at hand. Not at all do I make exceptions to the rules as we are grown ups and know what needs to be done. I provide time to my employees to see what they expect from me to help them grow. Most of the time I can show my team how optimistic I am about the life and the job. Rarely do I think my team performs the best do the same task all the time. Providing different tasks to various different team members show you confidence in your team to let them shine.

Self confidence is a personal characteristic that is great for leaders to have to motivate their team and know add real value by the work you do. Having a positive attitude and outlook can have positive and negative effects on your team. Developing a strong sense of balance and notice setbacks and problems happening is how to make a difference. Emotional Intelligence offers understanding of a specific kind of human talent recognizing your teams’ feelings (Mind Tools.com, n.d.).

Leading by example and being a good role model are traits for good leadership qualities.
Exerts power and trustworthiness in your leadership model. During COVID 19, that time everyone had to change to a new normal. Leadership qualities in public health and CDC, Department of Health and Human Services and other governmental agencies had to change their policies and procedures to suffice to COVID. The ‘New Normal Leadership’ is the ability to be adaptive while staying strong with one’s commitment; it is about being an effective instructional decision-maker; a leader who is a good planner, vigilant, and initiator (Francisco & Nuqui, 2020).

Physician Leadership Journal. (2020) indicates soft skills are necessary element to success for leaders in healthcare industry. Good communication skills, empathy, problem solving, multitasking and interpersonal skills are skills that improve self- awareness and should be practiced often to helping you grow and improve.

Part 2: Reflect on the results of your leadership skills assessment. In the context of Disaster Preparation, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery, discuss which of your leadership skills could you improve upon. Explain what you are going to do to accomplish this task.

Chandler (n.d.) an effective leader has coordination skills. A leader should have the ability to create team cohesion, team coordination, and integration. A leader cannot hesitate to decide. Should be skillful in planning short and long-term goals setting certain objectives. The ability to communicate effectively with hardly any misunderstandings is key. Being able to facilitate in a collaborative manner will foster the best outcome with teamwork.

Handling stress helps the recovery effort run smoothly.  It is imperative that leaders be good and active listeners, with the capacity to digest a sizable amount of information and different perspectives (Shahrestanaki et al., 2020). Open minded is quality to have to be willing to think out of the box in certain situations. Able to think on critical basis requires a leader to read the unique aspects of every situation and to have a great capacity to visualize what it will look like once it has been implemented.

In this assignment, you will analyze and assess advertising and experience design strategies. You will then evaluate and compare the strategies of two similar products from competing companies.

Background:

An area that marketing executives must manage is integrated marketing communications (IMC), which includes social media, experience design, and advertising. Communications decisions have changed over the past decade due to the Internet and other technological advances. Developing an IMC program involves setting appropriate goals, deciding on the appropriate message and tone, and selecting media. It also involves developing a media plan, setting a budget, and evaluating or measuring the effectiveness of the IMC plan. 

Directions:

• Use the Argosy University online library resources to identify five peer-reviewed academic articles related to social media, advertising, and experience design strategies.
• Examine the IMC strategy for a current product. Include pictures and advertisements or links to advertisements if possible.
• Identify the strengths and weaknesses within the strategy.
• Examine what effect IMC strategies have on marketing management.
• Evaluate and compare the communication strategies for the product you chose against those of a competitor. Use the literature to explain why one approach is superior to another.

Write a 4–6-page report in Word format. Utilize at least five scholarly sources in your research. Make sure you write in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

5.(6 points) There are customers wo have decided to purchase a Toyota make of cars with 45% of smallest engine, 35% prefer medium size engine, and 20% want largest engine. From this 10% fail the emission test form the smallest engine customers. Similarly, 12% of medium engine and 15% with largest engine also fail. Find the probability that a randomly chosen car will fail the emission test within two years of the purchase. Draw a tree diagram and calculate the probability. 

6. (4 points) Average person who drives car in United States drives 15, 350 miles which is 50% more than an average driver in Europe. We assume that the number of yearly miles by U.S. drivers is approximately a normal random variable of standard deviation of 4200 miles. Calculate percent of drivers who traveled between 10,000 to 14,000 miles in a year. 

7.  (4 points) At men’s clothing store, 12 males bought green sweaters, 8  purchased blue golf sweaters,  4 bought white sweaters and 7 decided to by gray sweaters. If a customer is selected at random, calculate the probability that he bought:

(a) Green sweater (b) blue sweater or white (c) blue or gray or white (d) A sweater which was not gray.

8. (6) (a) Given definition of Normal ( Gaussian distribution) by citing an example. Draw graph of the distribution. 

(b) Consider a normal distribution with a mean of 16 and variance of 28. What is the Z score for the value of 18? 

Hint: Read from the textbook regarding Normal distribution and go over the power point lecture examples That I have posted in the Course “Resources”. Then work – out this exercise. 

Important: Please read carefully…….  You are allowed to use technology for the following Problems (Problem #9 and Problem #10).  Most probably, you have to use technology, or you may have to spend hours, to carry out the necessary calculations by hand.  Nonetheless, you should clearly delineate and explain your logic and reasoning on how to tackle problems #9, and #10.

9.  (8 points) The Undesirable Air Lines (UAL???) is notorious for its cost-cutting substandard customer service.  Consequently, only 85% of the ticket holders will show up for a flight.  The Air Lines workhorse, the Boring 878, has 234 seats.  UAL, of course, will make extra money by overbooking.  However, they have to worry about the FAA fines, and they have to keep a safety margin, say, that there is at least 95% probability that they can accommodate all those who show up for the Boring 878 flight.  How many seats can they actually sell in this case?

10.  (8 points) It is an open secret that airlines overbook flights, but I have just learned recently that bookstores underbook (I might have invented this new term.) textbooks……….

To make a long story short, our UMUC designated virtual bookstore, MBS Direct, routinely, as a matter of business practice, orders less textbooks than the amount requested by UMUC’s Registrar’s Office.  That is what I have figured out…….  Simply put, MBS Direct has to “eat” the books if they are not sold.  Do you want to eat the books?  You may want to cook the books before you eat them!  Oops, I hope there is no account major in this class?

OK, let us cut to the chase…..  MBS Direct believes that only 85% of our registered students will stay registered in a class long enough to purchase the required textbook.  Let’s pick on our STAT 200 students.  According to the Registrar’s Office, we have 600 students enrolled in STAT 200 this fall 2019.

Suppose you are the CEO of MBS Direct, and you want to perform a probability analysis.  What would be the number of STAT 200 textbook bundles you would order so that you stay below 5% probability of having to back-order from Pearson Custom Publishing?  (Note: Our Provost would be very angry when she hears that textbook bundles have to be back-ordered.  In any case, by next fall, we will no longer need the service of MBS Direct as we are moving 100% to free eResources.  Auf Wiedersehen, MBS Direct……)

  (b)    Select one film of feature length made during the time period of 1970 – 2000. You are not to use a film already used by you, the instructor or the course content. In your term paper, you should present information about the making of the movie, about its success at the box office, about awards it was nominated for and/or received. Also present a sampling of the critical reaction to the film, from both the time of its release and later. Finally, you should watch the film and react to it. Do not summarize the plot. Assume that I’ve already seen the film. In addition, write about how this director used the following in these films: Editing (montage), Sound and Music, Cinematography, Special Camera Work (steady cam, hand held, optical effects), Special Effects (this can include stunt work).

Outline and Resources – You are to turn in an outline and resource list for your project before the end of week 5 and submit it to the proper folder.  Part two will not be accepted unless part one is turned in.

You must turn in an outline and a list of resources for your project no later than the end of week five.

1. Use either an Alphanumeric Outline, a Decimal Outline, or a sentence hierarchical outline.
2. The list of resources you expect to use includes website, books and films. This should be in the form of an Annotated Bibliography.

• I would like to see a full sentence outline. The more complete your work is now, the more helpful and substantive my feedback can be

• You should plan to spend about more time on this stage of the assignment (research and outline) than on the final stage of the assignment (rough draft and polish).
