If-else statement and loop

4 parts of the assignment:

Part 1: Check out the lecture notes and read chapter 6 of the text book before attempting these problems (see attachment)

1) Write a program that prompts the user for a number, tests to see whether that number is even or odd and prints out “Number is Even” if it is even, or “Number is Odd” if it is odd.

Hint: An even number is one that is dividable by 2 and has no remainder! Look up the % operator.

Part 2: 2) Write a program that stores your name in a variable. Then ask the user to guess your name. If heshe guesses right, display the message “Well done, good guess work!”, otherwise display the message “Try again next time!” and just exit the program at that point (we’ll see how to loop, i.e. keep on asking the user for names till heshe gets the right one, next week!).

Part 3: Modify the question above so that you keep on asking the user for names till heshe gets it right! So heshe has to guess your name right BEFORE you exit the program. Use a while loop.

Part 4:Write a program that asks the user for 5 numbers, using a for loop and one input function call inside that for loop. Sum the numbers as you are getting them from the user, then display the sum and average to the user at the end.

Literature Review Paper NURSING RESEARCH

Literature Review Paper

A literature review aims to highlight the current state of knowledge regarding a topic under study. Literature reviews are comprised of secondary sources and as such do not report any new or original experimental work. The main purpose of a literature review is to situate the current study within the body of literature and to provide context for the reader. A literature review is not a summary but a synthesis of the material you have read. In this course the purpose of the literature review is to answer a significant clinical question.Instructions:Your paper needs to follow the following criteria:

  1. Choose a problem faced by clients in your practice area that you think is important and would like to learn more about.
  2. Use your knowledge of PICO to develop a well-build narrow clinical question. For example: In adult patients with total hip replacements (P), how effective is pain medication (I) compared to aerobic stretching (C) in controlling post-operative pain (O)? (the development of the PICO question should not be including in the paper).
  3. Write a five (5) page literature review paper on the standing knowledge of the chosen question.
  4. Include a minimum of five (5) journal articles, at least three (3) from nursing journals. However, make sure that the (5) journals are the one’s analyzed and synthesized in the results and discussion sections.
  5. The body of the paper should be made of the following titled sections: Title (introduction), Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  6. Provide a specific and concise tentative title for your literature review paper (You may use the results or at least the variables in the title).
  7. Abstract is not required
  8. Include a 1-page introduction of your topic (background information), the focus/aim of your review. The introduction should include a statement of the problem, briefly explain the significance of your topic study, and act to introduce the reader to your definitions and background. Must include your main statement (i.e. the purpose of this review is…{PICO Question}).
  9. The method section should include sources, databases, keywords, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and other information that establish credibility to your paper.
  10. The results should summarize the findings of studies that have been conducted on your topic. For each study you should briefly explain its purpose, procedure for data collection and major findings. This is the section where you will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of studies.
  11. The discussion should be like a conclusion portion of an essay paper. It serves as a summary of the body of your literature review and should highlight the most important findings. Your analysis should help you to draw conclusions. In this section you would discussion any consensus or disagreement on the topic. It can also include any strengths and weaknesses in general of the research area. If you believe there is more to research, you may include that here.
  12. Finally, you will need to conclude your paper. At this point you have put substantial effort into your paper. Close this chapter with a summary of the paper, major findings and any major recommendation for the profession.
  13. In general, your paper should show a sense of direction and contain a definite central idea supported with evidence. The writing should be logical, and the ideas should be linked together in a logical sequence. The ideas need to be put together clearly to the writer and to the reader.
  14. Papers will be graded by rubric. Please take time to review the rubric so that you are aware of the expectations for the review paper.
  15. Format references and citations using APA guidelines.

Teaching Demonstration

CLASS PROJECT:TEACHING DEMONSTRATION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

OVERVIEW

Your class project is to design a 40-60 minute teaching lesson incorporating the main elements of this class:

Emphasis on critical thinking

Use of active learning strategies

Incorporating andragogy (adult learning theory)

You will not actually present this lesson but will simply design your teaching demonstration.

By now you should have mastered the content for each of these elements. It might help to review class content before you complete this project.

Critical Thinking: as we have emphasized all term, the essence of graduate school should be critical thinking, rather than just adding more knowledge to your understanding. You have read invaluable content on stimulating thought and implementing the highest levels of thought from Bloom’s Taxonomy and the Anderson and Krathwohl revision of Bloom. In your class project, you will primarily challenge your students with the highest level of thought –application, analysis, evaluation, creation, etc. Your teaching demonstration is not primarily a lecture, in which you simply impart knowledge, but exercises designed to challenge and stimulate thinking. If you just present a lecture, you will not pass this final project.

Active Learning: the class content had excellent discussion on the concept of active learning. While lecture has a place in higher education, your students are best served in an environment in which they learning actively. You were introduced to numerous active learning strategies through the class content and you will demonstrate several active learning techniques in this final project. For sure, you may need to present some basic information (lecture, video, etc.) but most of your time should be taken up with your active learning strategies. Doing so should make your proposed teaching demonstration exciting, challenging, and even fun.

Adult Learning Theory: you also read a lot about andragogy and you are tasked with incorporating adult learning principles into your proposed teaching demonstration.

INSTRUCTIONS

                                                      Elements of the Final Project

 Literature Review

The teaching topic you chose in week one was a narrowed focus in a larger body of research. You may have an interest in a particular therapy technique applied to a specific diagnosis. In your first section, provide a brief overview of the body of research, and then how you narrowed down your focus in order to emphasize higher-order thinking. You will have your students attempt to solve a particular problem in the research on a topic, apply concepts to a new application, come up with a unique treatment plan, etc. In this first section, you will lay out the foundation for what you propose to do, by drawing from the research literature on the topic. In essence, you will present a brief literature review and justification for narrowing your focus to your specific teaching topic. Make sure to cite your research correctly per APA. Length: the length of your literature review will vary according to the topic and the depth of the research. Make the literature review of sufficient length to explain the foundation for your active learning activities and HOTS emphasis. Most likely several pages will be necessary.

Learning Objectives (LOs)A strong teaching demonstration begins with strong learning objectives. Based on the class content on LOs, write at least three learning objectives that primarily include higher order thinking. Follow the suggestions provided in class for writing clear, strong, and valid LOs.

Description of Active Learning Strategies Thoroughly review the class content on active learning strategies, and in this section, indicate 2-3 different active learning strategies that you will include in your proposed teaching demonstration. Draw from the class sources (cited correctly) and explain why your chosen teaching strategies best fit your LOs. That is, in implementing your learning objectives, explain why the chosen teaching strategies best complete your LOs. Recall that one of the class documents suggested learning activities that fit with each level of thought (Bloom’s Taxonomy and Anderson and Krathwohl’s revision of Bloom).

HOTS to be Implemented

A focus on this class entitled “Teaching and Learning” has been on stimulating thought and integrating higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in active learning strategies. In this section, briefly review the highest levels of thought that you want to implement in your teaching demonstration. Review what each means as applied in your teaching demonstration, drawing broadly from the class discussion on HOTS. Why does your topic lend itself to the highest levels of thought that you want to demonstrate—that is, what about your teaching topic suggests a need to evaluate, or critique, or create a new way, or apply in a different way, etc.? Again, cite your class sources per APA.

Elements of Andragogy that you will Incorporate

Review the class content on adult learning theory. In this section, determine which elements of andragogy need to be incorporated into your proposed teaching demonstration. Provide solid justification for your conclusion. Draw from the class content on adult learning theory, and cite correctly.

Putting it All Together –Template

In your final section, propose a 45-60 minute teaching demonstration using the following table.

Your table should be complete and detailed so that the reader knows exactly what you propose to do in each active learning segment to completely fulfill the LOs.

Formatting Your final project should be presented as a formal APA paper, with headings to correspond with topics mentioned above. For sure, you will need a correctly formatted title page and reference page. As noted, you need to draw broadly from the class sources and cite correctly.

Have fun with this project! This will give you an opportunity to propose a teaching demonstration incorporating core concepts you learned this term.

Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.

Papers are a chance to take the more “fact” driven textbook and combine it with some real world knowledge in “readable chapters”.   For each paper, please read the assigned paper and create a “summary” of the article, chapter, or work.  Summaries are a synthesis of the key ideas and reduce the content down to about 10-20%, e.g. cliff notes.  In other words, get rid of the fluff.  It should still be acoherent story, easily read, should not include any evaluation, and should not include any “I” statements.  You will be graded on how well written your summary is including grammar and spelling.

The second part is an evaluation of the reading.  Here is your chance to critique the reading.  What did you like?  What did you not like?  What confused you?  What was too simple?  What else should have been or not been included?  Who is the target population?  Were you interested or bored?  Exact questions are not required, but should provide a guide.  Typically the evaluation will be about 1/2 a page.

Formatting.  Standard font.  Size 12.  Double spaced.  Standard margins.  Name and author of the paper.

See the rubric for how the assignment will be graded.  Papers are due at the end of the day on the assigned date and are to be turned in through the Assignment’s Dropbox.  Document must be a doc, docx, rtf, or pdf (preferred).  PDF’s can be created easily in word, by choosing SAVE AS and then change the type to PDF.

Step 1: Submit your paper via the SafeAssign draft link in Module/Week 7.

Step 2: Wait until the link indicates that SafeAssign has analyzed your paper and prepared a report.

Step 3: Evaluate the report. You will notice that SafeAssign often matches on headings, titles, and references. If you see matches on entire sentences or paragraphs that are not enclosed in direct quotation marks, then you have unintentionally plagiarized. You will need to go back and re-write those sections in your own words.

Step 4: Submit the final paper using the second SafeAssign link. If the final paper you submit contains entire sentences or paragraphs that have a high similarity index to other sources, it may indicate either unintentional or intentional plagiarism. You may be contacted by your instructor.

When you have completed your paper, save it as a Microsoft Word document under your name and assignment title (Example: Doe_J_Ethical_Minute_Paper).

Submit your final assignment via SafeAssign by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 7.

Discuss at least one real organization that has been effective in implementing an ERM framework/application.

Risk management is one of the most important components in empowering an organization to achieve its ultimate vision. With proper risk management culture and knowledge, team members will be “speaking” the same language, and they will leverage common analytical abilities to identify and mitigate potential risks as well as exploit opportunities in a timely fashion. https://paperwriters.xyz/uncategorized/discuss-at-least-one-real-organization-that-has-been-effective-in-implementing-an-erm-framework-application/ In order to consolidate efforts, the existence of an integrated framework is crucial.

This is why an ERM is necessary to the fulfillment of any organization’s goals and objectives. In your final research project for the course, your task is to write a 7-10 page paper discussing the following concepts:

Introduction – What is an ERM?

Why Should an Organization Implement an ERM Application?

What are some Key Challenges and Solutions to Implementing an ERM?

What is Important for an Effective ERM?

Discuss at least one real organization that has been effective in implementing an ERM framework/application.

Conclusion – Final thoughts/future research/recommendation

The paper needs to be approximately 7-10 pages long, including both a title page and a references page (for a total of 9-12 pages). Be sure to use proper APA formatting and citations to avoid plagiarism.

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

Be approximately seven to ten pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page.

Follow APA7 guidelines. Your paper should include an introduction, a body with fully developed content, and a conclusion.

Support your answers with the readings from the course, the course textbook, and at least FIVE scholarly journal articles to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook.

Be clearly and well-written, concise, and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. You are being graded in part on the quality of your writing.

Case Study Week 3:Implementing a Post Discharge Follow-up Module for Nursing Personnel in an Ambulatory Surgery CenterCase Background:  A busy ambulatory surgery center that completes approximately 100 procedures per daywas using a “legacy”Electronic Health Record (EHR) that was no longer supported by the software development company that had originally developed it.  One function of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU, aka the “Recovery Room”) was to follow-up with each patient (or the patient’s designee) at three post-discharge time intervals: 3 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours post  operatively. While  the Nursing  staff  wassatisfied  with  the  basic  functionality  of  the EHR  in  terms  of  clinical documentation, the system contained one major deficiency, as identified by PACU staff:  there  was  not a robust “Post Discharge Follow-Up Module”which enabled PACU staff to record the results of the telephone calls which they made to the patient post discharge. The legacy EHR only allowed PACU personnel to indicate whether or not the patient (or the patient’s  designee)  was  contacted  post-discharge.    There  was  no  provision  for  entering  specific  data  regarding  the outcome of the post-discharge calls.During  the  course  of developing  a“wish  list”for  the  functionality  of  a  replacement EHR,  PACU  staff  identified  ten specific  fields  that  they  hoped  would  be  incorporated  into  a “Post  Discharge  Follow-Up  Module”.    These  ten  fields addressed  such  issues  as  the  date/time  of  post-discharge  contact,  the  status  of  that  contact  (i.e.,  Call  Completed, Left Message,  No  Answer,  etc.)and  what  action  (if  any)  was  necessary  based  on  the  information  provided  by  either  the patient  and/or  the  patient’s  caregiver.    The  PACU  staff  had  a  lively discussionconcerning  the  development  of  a comprehensive   list   of   typical   post-operative   issues   which   patients   most   frequently   encounter,   as   well   as the development of a protocol for the notification of the attending surgeon and/or his/her designee.Data  Collection, Preparation,  and  Analysis: The Clinical  Manager of  the  PACU assigned  three  PACU  personnel  to work with  the  Surgical  Center’s Information  Technology (IT) Departmentto develop a  short-term  strategy  for collectingand managing  thepost-operative  follow-up  information. Due to  budgetary  constraints  and  existing  contractual  obligations with the existing EHR Company, it was not feasible to convert to a new EHR for approximately 18 months.  The Clinical Manager  of  the  PACU  instructed  the  assigned  personnel  to  develop  and  implement  a  strategy  for  collecting  and analyzing post-operative follow-up datathat could be used during the 18 month period prior to the replacement of the “legacy”EHR.Conclusion:  The PACU Staffmet with IT personnel and developed a “Data Dictionary”that represented the information that PACU staff deemed necessary to complete the Post Discharge Follow-Up Module.During the course of the meeting with IT staff, PACU staff learned that by using a programming technique  called Open Database  Connectivity (ODBC), IT staff could develop a relatively simpleand secure database  that linked to the legacy EHR system while  providing PACU staff  with  an  intuitive  user  interface  in  order  to  access  each  individual  case  and  record  the  necessary  post-operative discharge information. The ODBC technique is an open standard application programming interface (API)for accessing a database. By using ODBC statements in a program, PACU staff was able to access files the legacy EHRsystem. The ODBC tool can also be  used to connect other legacy databases to external databases, including those developed in Microsoft Access, Oracle’s SQL, and other popular commercial software products.Result:With approximately 10 hours of software development time, IT staff createda simple yet effective tool for PACU staff to access and record post discharge follow-up data.It was estimated that total PACU staff time for this project was approximately  65  hours,  including  database  design,  software  testing,  and  training  the  full  complement  of  PACU  staff, including Nurses, Anesthesiologists, Physicians Assistants, and administrative support personnel.

Number Cruncher Versus Strategic Thinker

It is one thing to be able to look at a financial report and analyze it using ratios and comparisons. However, keep in mind that, when you do that, you are studying historical information. Your true value as an accountant will come if you can use that historical information to make future projections and decisions involving change.
For this assignment, you will take a set of financial reports from a company and try to determine what would happen if something changed within the company. You will identify something you want to change and then try to determine the impact of that change. This link will take you directly to the Nexis Uni database. This database will enable you to search for a company and review its financial information.
For example, suppose you want to grow the company’s sales by extending credit to more customers. How will this impact sales, accounts receivable, cash flow, expenses (especially bad debt), and so on? Once you determine that, how will it ultimately impact the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows? How will it impact your key ratios? What non-accounting information (such as training staff in new processes) might be impacted?
Some other examples could be: what happens if you reduce payroll (a very common thing these days) or reduce inventory (to move to more of a real-time inventory system), or make a significant capital purchase? What would be impacted?
For this assignment, write a 2–3 page paper in which you:

  • Identify something you want to change in the company and identify and explain the impact of the change.
  • Identify a financial report related to your proposed change and explain how your use of this report will influence your decision-making.
  • Identify how information or processes not directly related to accounting will be impacted by the proposed change.
  • Cite at least one reference other than your textbook that supports your rationale. Note: Wikipedia and other similar websites do not qualify as academic resources.
  • Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
  • This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). For assistance and information, please refer to the Strayer Writing Standards link in the left-hand menu of your course.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
  • The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is:
  • Analyze the influence of a financial report on decision making related to an organizational change.
  • By submitting this paper, you agree: (1) that you are submitting your paper to be used and stored as part of the SafeAssign™ services in accordance with the Blackboard Privacy Policy; (2) that your institution may use your paper in accordance with your institution’s policies; and (3) that your use of SafeAssign will be without recourse against Blackboard Inc. and its affiliates.

Professor Question, Civil Liberties (NEED BY 10:00PM TONIGHT} In own words i will give a bad bid if work is plagiarism

1. When rights to safety and security seem to conflict with fundamental civil

liberties, how should we decide which to value more?

2.   Should elected officials do what the majority desires? Or should they do

what they think is best, even if it is highly unpopular?

3.   Should the time, place, and manner of speech matter when deciding whether

  the speech is constitutionally protected?

4.   Did you attend a public school where you had bible readings, prayers, religious assemblies, or other religious acts? Who organized these activities? Were you ever in a school choir or band that performed religious music? Did you ever have a coach who prayed before games or suggested you join the Fellow ship of Christian Athletes? Was there a prayer at your high school commencement? If any of these occurred in your school, how did you feel about them? Did it ever occur to you that your principal or teachers might be violating a Supreme Court ruling? Is it ever acceptable for someone to violate the Law? Under what conditions? What would happen if everyone decided he or she could choose what laws to obey?

5. How much free speech do you think we should allow in the United States?

Would you allow a white racist to give a speech on this campus? A member of a freemen’s militia? A neo-Nazi? A black racist?

6. Most of the democratic countries of the world have abolished capital punishment why do you think the United States still uses execution? If other countries had our crime rate, do you think they would want capital punishment? List arguments for and against capital punishment. Should we draw the line according to age or severity of crime?

7. The Supreme Court gives free speech a “privileged position” in the Bill of Rights. What does that mean? How does the Court justify that position?

8.   Distinguish between civil liberties and civil rights.

9. Identify the constitutional right that you most treasure, and discuss why you feel so passionately about that right?

10.   Concerning civil liberties, how would you change the Constitution? What

would you add to it, or take from it, to make it more relevant and meaningful

     for you?

11. How does the USA Patriot Act raise questions about the balance between public safety and civil liberties? If you had to emphasize one goal more than the other, which would you emphasize? Why?

12. What are civil liberties? How are they different from civil rights?

13. Why have most of the advances in civil rights come through the federal courts and not through our legislatures. What does that say about our democratic system? Which would you rather have: judges who believe in judicial restraint when it comes to civil rights, or judges who are activist?
