Assessing the Quantitative Analytical Approaches in Health Care Literature you will develop a 3-4 page critique of the quantitative design, methods, and results of a scholarly study.

For this assessment, you will develop a 3-4 page critique of the quantitative design, methods, and results of a scholarly study.

The ability to use quantitative approaches to analyze health care data is a vital skill for today’s doctoral prepared professional. You will be expected to have the skills to critically assess the deeper analytical qualities of an article and ultimately comment on its overall validity and practical relevance. This assessment will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate and hone your ability to analyze and critique the quantitative methods of a research study using an example from the literature.

For the learner who has finished the data collection process for the doctoral project, analysis of that data offers an exciting (and sometimes challenging) opportunity of discovery. One of the most common statistical techniques for examining the relationship of two variables is correlation analysis. The specific kind of correlational technique depends on the combination of the measurement level (that is, categorical, ordinal, or interval or ratio) of the two data variables being examined. Correlation analysis can tell us the direction and strength of relationships between two variables.

Overview

Whether preparing a scholarly document for your doctoral program or simply trying to stay current in your professional field, you must continuously grow in your ability to read research. As an undergraduate, you probably just skimmed over an article’s abstract and introduction, focusing most of your attention on the interpretation of the results at the conclusion. As a doctoral-level professional, your colleagues will expect you to have the skills to critically assess the deeper analytical qualities of an article and ultimately comment on its overall validity and practical relevance.

Using the readings, media, and various resources in this course, you have an opportunity to engage in critical thinking to assess the analytical results of a peer-reviewed quantitative study. This assessment parallels and complements the literature critique skill set you have developed previously in your program.

The following will help provide you with potential approaches and frameworks to completing the critique and assessment portions of this assessment:

Question 1

I would like for you to write me a two-page essay this week with at least three resources other than your book which discusses the natural, human process we all go through daily in managing risks in our daily lives (we have done this since before we started walking).  I want you to draw direct correlation between the processes we go through mentally to avoid risks which could harm us and the risk processes organizations go through in dealing with risk relative to a project. How do they differ – how are they the same?  Give me some examples of behaviors you engage in with your daily life to avoid personal risk.

Personal Value Assessment (Online/TO)

My Goal is to work in marketing for the PGA tour

The purpose of this assignment is to assess personal value in light of professional goals.

In  the same way that an organization performs with greater intention and  cohesiveness when its employees and stakeholders are all working with a  communal sense of purpose toward a shared goal, you will be able to  better and more successfully shape your future when you have a clear  idea of who you are, the value you offer, and what you ultimately want  to achieve. Your personal vision provides the framework for your goals  by reflecting your aspirations for the individual you hope to become.  And more concretely, your personal mission defines the areas in the  industry where you intend to compete and the customers you intend to  serve.

Together, your vision and mission statements offer a  foundational identity, defining who you intend to serve and in what  capacity (in the PGA tour marketing), and how those elements will help you shape your  intended future (of player marketing).

develop your own personal vision and mission  statements from the perspective of yourself as a business professional,  supported by a goal plan that will enable you to achieve your vision in  the next 5 to 10 years.

Include the following in your 1,000-1,250-word response:

  1. Define your personal vision and mission statements.
  2. List  a minimum of five SMART goals you will need to achieve to reach your  vision and describe how these relate to your overall personal strategy.
  3. Identify  significant personal standards or principles you hold and discuss how  they guide, limit, or circumscribe your stated vision, mission, and goal  plan.
  4. What do you need to do (or keep doing) to ensure that you  reach your vision and achieve your mission? How will you monitor and  modify your plan to measure success in achieving your outlined goals?
  5. How  do the vision, mission, and values you have outlined create a  competitive advantage for yourself in the job market? How would the  leader of a business organization use these same elements to create  competitive advantage in the industry?
  6. How is the process of  setting, measuring, and modifying your personal vision, mission, and  goal plan different from that required by the leader of a small company?  How does this process differ from that required by the leader of a  large corporation?

Activity 3- Exe Proj

Case Study 3.1 Keflavik Paper CompanyKeflavik Paper is an organization that has lately been facing serious problems with the results of its projects.  Specifically, the company’s project development record has been spotty: While some projects have been delivered on time, others have been late. Budgets are routinely overrun, and product performance has been inconsistent, with the results of some projects yielding good returns and others losing money.  They have hired a consultant to investigate some of the principal causes that are underlying these problems, and he believes that the primary problem is not how project are run but how they are selected in the first place.  Specifically, there is little attention paid to the need to consider strategic fit and portfolio management in selecting new projects.  This case is intended to get students thinking of alternative screening measures that could potentially be used when deciding whether or not to invest in a new project.

Questions

  1. Keflavik Paper presents a good example of the dangers of excessive reliance on one screening technique (in this case, discounted cash flow). How might
  2. Assume that you are responsible for maintaining Keflavik’s project portfolio. Name some key criteria that should be used in evaluating all new projects before they are added to the current portfolio.
  3. What does this case demonstrate about the effect of poor project screening methods on a firm’s ability to manage its projects effectively?

Constraints and Limitations

Constraint

The grand opening ceremony day will coincide with the company’s annual general meeting. Generally, the organization holds its annual general meeting on December 1. It is on this day, the board of directors declares dividends among shareholders and the management reports the company’s financial performance. The other key activities happening on this day include: discussion of the auditor’s and director’s reports, and appointment of statutory auditors as well as fixation of their remuneration.

Budgetary Constraints

The organization expects to spend no more than $400,000-$300,000 for new retail outlet and $100,000 for grand opening ceremony. However, the project may end up going above the budgetary allocations due to some unforeseeable circumstances such as poor communication, human error, and environmental factors. Concerning poor communication, Schwalbe (2016) indicates that project team members may fail to perform their tasks properly in case of misunderstandings during project planning and execution phases. Correcting situation can lead to budget overruns. Human errors can arise due to omission of project requirements when preparing a budget, which can be costly. Regarding environmental factors, the Project Management Institute (2017) indicates that little can be done about natural disasters such as flooding and hurricanes. These events can sideline a project because of conditions that prevent project team members from accessing the project site. Moreover, delays of project results and supplies can lead to partial or total loss.

Work Breakdown Structure

In the following section we have included the work breakdown structure for the Retail Store Expansion in Waterloo Town. “The WBS provides management with information appropriate for each level.” (Larson & Gray, 2018) As you can see, the highest level for the Retail Store expansion in Waterloo Town is the Project followed by a meeting with the stakeholders to discuss the project scope along with the work breakdown structure. Level 2 is the deliverables that consist of obtaining the land, store design, construction, computer systems and utilities, inspections, hiring/production and the grand opening of the store. Level 3 it is a subdeliverable from all levels 2 items. Then we continue to level 4 all subdeliverables in which we can see that the Facilities Manager, Construction Manager, IT Manage, HR Manager and Marketing Manager own each of the subdeliverables. Managers will be responsible of all of the work packages from their subdeliverable items.

1.  Develop a product service idea.

The development requires many types of research before of the product or a service idea along with its usual process without any drawbacks or returning to the start from a middle way of the process, however, tends to have a scope of being the non-linear process in most of the cases. It starts with the market research, assessing the basics for the project required to start like funds, manpower, and other resources, and then it proceeds for the product development stage.

A. Describe the product/service including the benefits of using the product/service.

The product/service I have chosen is online product sell e-market. That is an open online platform providing customer services which include personalize or customize the products such as beds, kitchenware, furniture, decorative items etc., as per their needs and comfort. This online application is easy to access and decision making about their requirement other than visiting different stores and struggling with the different view and then realize that it would be suitable or not.

B. Discuss the potential customers for this product/service.

For this product/service potential customer are those who have specific concepts or ideas for having there personalized or customizing their home or workplace with a different theme. This allows customers a platform to use their ideas of making or decorating the product in their own way and the company ensures that their instructions are thoroughly followed to give the outcome they are looking for, they provide wide collection and varieties of option for improvement for customers for their product.

2.  Based on the nature of the product/service, recommend at least 3 possible ways to market the product electronically. Your suggestions must include at least one search engine. Describe your recommendations and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each.
