Individual Personal Values Art Project

 “guideline

This project consists of:
1) An artwork that connects a topic from this semester with your own values and ethics.
2) An artist statement: A 1 page (max) write-up of the topical issue, a reflection of how your own values connect to this topic.
We will hold an art gallery-style exhibition online for the first part of the session in Week 14. We will then continue into an open Q&A session for final projects and presentations for the remainder of class time.

From the list of class topics, think about a specific topic/concern that resonated with you. How might you showcase your personal values in relation to this topic? How might you represent this topic, and create a personally meaningful work of art?

Part 1: Part one is an artistic representation of your professional values statement. This piece of art should be a reflection on our class activities/topics so far and should include a manifestation of your moral philosophy. This assignment can take many forms and be as complex as you’d like to make it.

By creating an artistic rending of your professional values, you give your workplace values more thought and take the exercise seriously. The end result can be whatever you’d like it to be.

You may create: Poems, drawings/paintings (From charcoal, watercolors, crayon, to pencil sketches), collages, digital artwork, sculpture, etc.

Note: Please use any materials you have at home, at your disposal. You are in no way required to go to a store or to purchase additional materials. You can certainly create digital artworks, spoken word pieces, poems, collages, or other forms of art that utilize the tools at hand.

Deliverable 1: A picture /video/ file of your artwork to be uploaded to iLearn by Week 13.

Grading Rubric for Part 1: 5: Creativity and time well spent. | 3: solid effort, low in creativity. | 1-2: half-spirited effort.

Part 2: The second part is a reflection of your art piece. The assignment is a succinct 1-page personal values statement. You should cite a specific topic in the text and at least 2 other legitimate reference sources in your reflection. Please use APA format for the citations.

The format of the statement can vary: it could be (1) a label or accompanying explanation of your art; 2) “All-employee” memos from a CEO; (3) Newspaper editorials; (4) Public speeches; (5) Values statements for your actual business, (6) Others

Deliverable 2: Your artist statement will be due on iLearn by Week 13.

Grading Rubric for Part 2:

5: Professionally written with no spelling/grammar errors. Clear references with citations. Identifies & convincingly articulates 2 or more moral frameworks to guide decisions.

3: Professionally written, but with spelling/grammar errors. Clear references with citations. Identifies & convincingly articulates a moral framework to guide decisions.

0-2: Unclear, haphazard writing. Spelling/grammar errors. Lacks references with citations. Moral framework guiding decisions is unclear.

Scanning with QUALYS and NESSUS

Task 1: Complete the activities described below.

Note: Please attempt the question if you have sufficient bandwidth and time for scanning as you have limited free access time.

Activity 1 (500 words)

Qualys provides a cloud-based security and compliance solution. The Qualys Cloud Platform and its integrated apps help businesses simplify security operations and lower the cost of compliance by delivering critical security intelligence on demand and automating the full spectrum of auditing, compliance, and protection for IT systems and web applications.

Nessus Agents are lightweight, low-footprint programs that you install locally on hosts to supplement traditional network-based scanning or to provide visibility into gaps that are missed by traditional scanning. Nessus Agents collect vulnerability, compliance, and system data, and report that information back to a manager for analysis. With Nessus Agents, you extend scan flexibility and coverage. You can scan hosts without using credentials, as well as offline assets and endpoints that intermittently connect to the internet. You can also run large-scale concurrent agent scans with little network impact.

Task 1.1

· Please download the QUALYS and NESSUS trial versions and install both the tools on your system (PC/Laptop). You can get online guides video tutorials and instructions on how to use these tools and to familiarize yourself with the menus.

Tasks 1.2:

· Scan any two devices such as servers, workstations, or any other network devices

· Scan any two web websites or portals

ESSAY

Assignment: Feasibility Analysis
“A feasibility analysis is a chance to open your eyes, ask yourself some very tough questions, then check to see whether your idea, as originally conceived, needs to be modified, refocused, or changed dramatically. (Or perhaps even scrapped altogether.)” (Abrams, as cited in Scarborough &Cornwall, 2015, p. 237).

With this assignment, you will be addressing the fundamental question: Does this business have profit potential?

Referring to the same business you either started or purchased in the first assignment, write a three to four (3–4) page paper in which you:

  1. Conduct a feasibility analysis in which you research:
    1. Industry and Market Feasibility
    2. Product or Service Feasibility
    3. Financial Feasibility
    4. Entrepreneurial Readiness
  2. Based on your assessment, does the business idea need to be modified, changed significantly, or abandoned? (Note: If you abandon the business idea, then you will need to select and analyze a new business that has profit potential.)
  3. Include at least two (2) references outside the textbook.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Describe and analyze the necessary activities and key decisions to start a small business.
  • Use technology and information resources to research issues in small business management.
  • Write clearly and concisely about small business management using proper writing mechanics.

Description

Assignment 3: The Big Stage!

In the United States, both the federal government and the states have authority to indict for criminal wrongdoing. The federal government and each state have their own criminal statutes, court system, prosecutors, and police agencies. Use your textbook, the Internet, and/or Strayer University Online Library (https://research.strayer.edu) to research articles from within the past three years on crime trial, prosecutor, and criminal investigator.

Write a 3-page paper in which you:

1. Put yourself in the role of a prosecutor and explain the importance of the final report to the prosecution of a case. Further, analyze the possible impact of poorly completed final reports on the prosecution of a case.

2. Review Figure 21.1, The Use of Evidence in the Stages of the Criminal Justice Process, in Chapter 21 of the text and specify the manner in which each stage of the criminal justice process helps to build a successfully litigated action. Provide a rationale to support the response.

3. Identify the three areas that Detective Richard Gautsch, a seasoned investigator, recommends an investigator focus on when giving courtroom testimony and discuss the importance of each area. Next, define a criminal investigator’s role in preparing a case for court. Analyze the manner in which the investigator cooperates with the prosecutor to enhance the courtroom presentation.

4. Differentiate not guilty and acquitted. Give your opinion as to whether or not a not guilty verdict means that the investigator failed. Support the position.

  1. Predict one to two changes that      will take place in criminal investigation in the next twenty years.      Provide a rationale to support the response. https://essaypandit.com/i-am-looking-for-writer-who-can-help-me-in-writing-research-proposal-details-a/

6. Use at least three quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar types of websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

o This course requires the use of new Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). The format is different than other Strayer University courses. Please take a moment to review the SWS documentation for details.

  • Be typed, double-spaced, using      Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides;      citations and references must follow SWS or school-specific format. Check      with your professor for any additional instructions. https://theeliteessaywriters.com/2021/06/10/an-important-learning-from-this-class-is-to-read-a-variety-of-articles-and-watch/

o Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

Erd diagram

The goal of the project is to implement a “prototype” database system application / ERD diagram for an eCommerce social-network system called UCOnline where users can explore information about books/music/software, rate your purchase, identify purchase price and see ratings of their friends.

The project will require you to complete the assignment individually. Below you will find the ERD deliverable requirements. There are two parts to the assignment. You must create a diagram using a diagramming tool AND provide a written text-based document explaining your relationship mapping (systems analysis use case document). The assignment is worth 200 points. See rubric for grading scheme.

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS ACROSS ALL ASSIGNMENTS

You will work with book/music/media information, user information, ratings of books, and users’ social network

Each book has an id, title, publication date, publisher, ISBN, functional category, page count, price (publisher), and product description

There are 3 categories of book: fiction, non-fiction, and specialty

There are 2 categories of music: digital and media-based

An author can write one or more books.

A musician can be a solo artist, part of a group, or both

An author can also be associated with one or more publishers.

A musician/group/act can be associated with one or more music houses

An author’s book can have one or more editions.

A song and or album can have more than one version/edition (i.e. EP, LP, CD, DVD etc)

A publisher can have many authors and many books.

A record company can have many artists associated and many albums associated with it.

A record company can also be the publishing company (i.e. self-publishing)

Many ISBNs can also be associated with a given publisher but only one ISBN per form of medium (ie the ISBN is the PK no matter what).

An author can write many books.

An artist can write many songs, albums etc.

UCOnline needs to keep track of user ratings for each item sold in the online store (e.g., 1-5 and 1 for ‘Dislike’, to 5, for ‘Awesome!’).

A particular user rates a particular item at a given time.

A user CANNOT rate the same multiple times unless there are multiple editions of the item. Each edition can be rated separately.

Each user who submits a rating will be identified by a unique id and has a name, gender, age, and location. Nothing is anonymous.

There is also a social network between users. Users can send communication requests (i.e. instant messages/emails) to other users. Such requests can be accepted or ignored. Once accepted, the two users are considered ‘book buddies.’ If ignored, the user can send the request again. We want to add a store when the requests were sent (timestamp), the result of the requests and when the request was answered (timestamp).

Chapter 10: Patient Education and Patient-Centered Care in Professional Nursing Practice

1.  One recent change on some nursing units has been the establishment of walking rounds to patient rooms during change of shift report. Using this model, the nurses, patient, and family members (if the patient wishes) are all involved in the exchange of information during the transition of care to the nurse coming on shift. Can you think of any other changes that you have observed in the healthcare setting that help to facilitate a PCC environment?

2.  Think about your own life. Do you act to prevent a disease or accident when you perceive that you are not susceptible to the disease or at risk for the accident?

3.  Have you ever been assigned to read a book that had so many big words in it that you had to keep the dictionary by your side? If it was assigned for school, you probably struggled through it for the sake of not failing the test, but what about if you were not being graded? Would you bother to read it? If you did read it because you knew it would help you, would you have enough understanding to actually apply the information?

Professional Capstone and Practicum Reflective Journal (week 6)

Students are required to submit weekly reflective narratives throughout the course that will culminate in a final, course-long reflective journal due in Topic 10. The narratives help students integrate leadership and inquiry into current practice.

This reflection journal also allows students to outline what they have discovered about their professional practice, personal strengths and weaknesses, and additional resources that could be introduced in a given situation to influence optimal outcomes. Each week students should also explain how they met a course competency or course objective(s).

In each week’s entry, students should reflect on the personal knowledge and skills gained throughout the course. Journal entries should address one or more of the areas stated below.  In the Topic 10 graded submission, each of the areas below should be addressed as part of the summary submission.

Birth in the US

Learning Objective:

Explain the ethical, cultural, economic, and social issues impacting the care women receive before, during, and after pregnancy. Understand how these issues can affect the health of women of childbearing age and their fetus in the United States.

Overview of Assignment:

Write a paper exploring the ethical, economic, cultural, and social issues that women of childbearing age face today in the United States. You can pick a topic that affects women in the childbearing stage of their lives and how it impacts the care received, their lives, their health, or the health of their fetus. Or you can explain each topic individually based on different topics. Overall, research how the ethical, economic, cultural, and social issues can impact women living in the United States.

You may use your text and the Herzing library, however, you MUST USE at least 4 scholarly sources to support your ideas, at least one for each consideration you are discussing.

Paper Requirements:

Length and Elements: The length of this essay should only be 3-4 written pages and should include:

1) Introduction with specific thesis statement (i.e. The purpose of this paper is to…Make sure to introduce the four issues you will be discussing in your paper)

2) Body of Paper: discuss each of the following considerations in separate sections with the following headings:

a. Ethical Issues—explore the ethical issues that surround and confront the childbearing women in the United States (DO NOT discuss informed consent as this is not the type of ethical issue I am looking for, look for issues related to abortion, IVF, genetic testing, ect.)

b. Economic Issues—consider the economic (money related) barriers women face, including such topics as: insurance coverage or lack thereof, WIC, money for food, Medicaid, rural access to childbearing services, etc.

c. Cultural Issues—discuss the various cultural norms that can be found among the different cultures of people in Minnesota and how these different cultural norms can impact the care received during pregnancy

d. Social Issues—consider health disparities a person experiences due to their social environment such as women of poverty, women of color, Amish women, being an immigrant (legal or illegal), being rich, teenagers experiencing pregnancy, ect  in the United States. Relate these specific social considerations to childbearing women and how it affects maternal morbidity and mortality.

3) Conclusion: Summarize your findings; re-emphasize the thesis of the paper without simply repeating it; and do not introduce new ideas here

4) Use proper grammar, spelling, and APA 6th edition formatting including a title and reference page (the title and reference pages do not count toward the page total).
