Share some of the ways in which individuals might struggle in their adjustment to retirement. Include any personal examples you might have, either of parents or other older individuals you know. Provide at least one good paragraph and be sure to check your work for spelling and grammatical errors.

Respond to 2 other student’s posts.  Your responses should be at least a paragraph and not just “I agree”.  Points will be deducted for limited work.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

1- the first student response

Some individuals, might have a hard time with adjusting to retirement, because many have a habit of getting up at a certain time , and doing their morning ritual. while others have a hard time trying to find something to do with their time. However, many go back to work with another company while receiving  their payments from their old position. Even more so, some  complained of being bored and tired for no apparent reason, and  many even get  depressed because they are alone and  are use to working with others and not being alone.

2- the second student response

Some individuals might struggle with retirement because they are so use to working. They’ve been working for so many years, and that’s become their life. They struggle with finding something to do to keep them busy. They may even become depressed because they don’t know what to do with the free time they have. Some adults have their retirement plan structured out ahead of their retirement, then when its time to make arrangements to those activities, they don’t want to do those things anymore.

The Value Claim Essay states whether something is morally right or morally wrong, fair or unfair, humane or inhumane, just or unjust, and so on.

Be sure to include reasons that support your position, and evidence that backs up your reasons.

Also—and this is very important—do not support your position with facts! The Value Claim takes a value position. Support your position with stories.

Remember to cite your sources in MLA format: both in-text citations and a Works Cited section.

Follow the Value Claim Essay Outline. Use topic sentences, transition words, and supporting details.

Remember it’s a college-level essay. Make sure your writing is free of most grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.

Finally, check your word count. You must reach the minimum required number of words.

Your job is to persuade people to agree with you. That’s what an argument essay does. Go for it!

Required Word Count 1500 words or more    references do not count toward word count

 1st paragraph Introduction

The first sentence in your first paragraph will state your topic and position. In English class, that’s called the thesis. It’s the overall point you’re trying to make.

In this class you write argument essays, so we give the thesis another name. We call it the claim.

The remainder of the first paragraph will summarize the reasons why your readers should agree with you. Start with your strongest, best reason. We call those points. Your points support your claim.

The list of reasons in the first paragraph is called a roadmap or blueprint. Your reader can follow that guide through the rest of your essay.

If you want to put something else in your first paragraph, you can answer the question, “Why is this important?” It’s optional, but you can include one or two sentences that explain why the topic matters.

2nd paragraph Reason 1

The first sentence in each paragraph says what the paragraph is about. That’s called a topic sentence or key sentence.

Begin each topic sentence with a word or phrase that tells the reader you’re starting a new point. For example, first, second, furthermore, in addition to, etc. Those are called transition words.

The rest of the paragraph contains evidence that backs up your point. That’s called supporting detail. Depending on what you’re writing, supporting detail can include facts, statistics, quotes from experts, or even stories.

3rd paragraph Reason 2

The first sentence is the topic sentence. It states the reason. Start the topic sentence with a transition word or phrase, then follow with your evidence.

4th paragraph Reason 3

The first sentence is the topic sentence. It states the reason. Start the topic sentence with a transition word or phrase, then follow with your evidence.

And so on…

? Refute the Opposing View

After the body paragraphs explaining why your reader should agree with you, include one or two paragraphs describing the reasons they do not agree with you, and explain why they’re wrong. That’s called overcoming objections or refuting the opposing view.

? Conclusion

End your essay with a quick summary of the reasons why you’re right.

Works Cited

The Works Cited section comes after the last paragraph of your essay. In this section, list all the sources you included in your essay in correct MLA format. List the sources in alphabetical order based on the first word (or words) in the line.

Make sure each in-text citation matches an entry in Works Cited.

Subject:  Repayment agreement between the Merinoffs and Flamingo Corporation

Facts: Kenny and John Merinoff are the sole shareholders of Flamingo Corporation. They are also officers of the corporation and members of the board of directors. In 2008, the Merinoffs entered into a repayment agreement with Flamingo, which stipulated that they would reimburse the corporation for any salary that was subsequently disallowed as a deduction by the IRS. In late 2014, the IRS recharacterized $350,000 of John’s 2013 salary and $400,000 of Kenny’s 2013 salary as constructive dividends, disallowing Flamingo’s compensation deduction for these amounts. Pursuant to the 2008 agreement, Kenny and John repaid the amount disallowed to Flamingo in 2015.

Provide a complete response to the issues in this case. Provide appropriate supporting references including applicable IRS code.

I would explain Systems Thinking as- problem solving. The tool is made up of theoretical framework and practical methodologies that are used for understanding how and why systems behave the way they do (” Systems & Us”,). Plainly it is a system of thinking about systems.

A system is a set of elements that are organized to achieve something, it typically consists of elements, inter connections and functions or purpose (Meadows, 2008, Chapter 1).

What I like most about systems thinking is that it focuses on the bigger picture and helps users to understand how relationships and interactions are all needed to generate a solution. Seeing the bigger picture Is key for me because it allows you to see opportunities for improvement and this is crucial in my role. Many times, I get pulled in many directions which sometimes results in having to shift priorities, seeing the bigger picture allows one to evaluate things and prioritize appropriately. Health care is ever changing, and this tool provides new opportunities to understand and continually brainstorm and revise are understanding, which ultimately improves patient outcomes and health overall.

Analysis of Supervisor/Management Job Descriptions The purpose of this exercise is to have you view some actual job descriptions for supervisory/management positions as listed by real organizations. Instructions:
1. Think about a supervisory/management position that interests you. The position must be a first-line supervisor/manager position of your choice. In addition, you may include the type of industry in your search, such as banking supervisor, nursing supervisor, recreation manager, hotel maintenance supervisor, etc.
2. Visit Monster.com (Links to an external site.) at http://www.monster.com (Links to an external site.).

3. Type the name of the supervisory/management position in the “Search Jobs” box. You may leave blank the “U.S. Locations” box, which will result in a nationwide search. Clicking “Search” will likely result in numerous listings, depending on how general or specific your “Search Job” supervisory/management listing was
4. Scroll the listings, viewing job titles and the names of the organizations for which there are position vacancies. Find a position/organization that looks of interest, and click the job title. You will then find the company’s job description for the position.

6. Write a report, one-half to one page in length commenting on the differences noted. Include printouts of the three job listings.

Management Research Paper

Topic:  Write a 10 page in-depth research paper on Artificial Intelligence in the stimulation industry. Please use Proper sentence construction, grammar and use verified sources.

Additional instructions is provided below:-

My idea here is that you would find the MOST recent information on these topics. For example, you could go to the Library databases and look for information. Or you could go to the library and physically look up references. Do not simply re-hash what your textbook says about the topic – you MUST provide new information. If you rehash what the book says, you will lose most of your points.

The points will be allocated for the quality of the paper presentation itself (in order to encourage you to not treat the project lightly, rather than to punish you for not using color graphics!) and points for coverage of your topic.

In the paper:

1. state what the topic means and how it can be applied,

2. give at least three example of an application of the topic,

3. provide your opinion about the future of the topic (for example, bar coding could be replaced by RFID tags if the price per unit decreases significantly),

4. provide the most recent information that you can find about the idea/issue,

5. provide a list of the references that you used or found helpful – books, articles, web pages, etc., and

6. provide copies of the reference materials you used (except for books)

References:

You must use a minimum of six references from books, textbooks, reputable journals and/or news periodicals. You may use no more than one textbook reference. You may use web references to support your paper; however, the web references (other than those from the journal databases at the Library) do not count against the six required references.

Assignment: Focus Groups 2 page paper

Assignment: Focus Groups

Now that you have heard the Walden Sports CEO’s perspective on employee attitudes, the next step might be to organize a focus group to hear directly from the employees. Focus groups are gatherings of people who are asked carefully planned questions about their perceptions, emotions, opinions, beliefs, and attitudes. A best practice is to use open-ended questions that are intended to generate multiple responses. Focus groups (and interviews) are designed to assess what people think or feel about what is going on in the organization. They can include questions that assess how satisfied they are with their jobs and what factors or antecedents exist that influence their job satisfaction. Answers to these questions can be used to select additional survey questions for an organization-wide survey. See what clues you can uncover at Walden Sports.

To prepare for this Assignment:

  • Consider questions you might ask the Walden Sports employees in a focus group to investigate why morale is low.
By Day 7

Submit a 2 page paper (not including references) that addresses the following:

  • Develop five open-ended questions you might ask the Walden Sports employees in a focus group to investigate why morale is low.
  • Explain why you developed these questions and how the answers will help provide the client the information they need to develop a plan for change. Be specific.

Support your Assignment with specific references to all resources used in its preparation. You are to provide a reference list for all resources, including those in the Learning Resources for this course.
