Analyzing data with R

This is a continuation of a project, that just needs to be completed.

Here is a guideline:

Paper

· Your figures will not contain any other part of RStudio. Do not include images of programming code, nor programming code in your paper. That information is only needed in the R script you submit. This is not a ‘how-to’ in R.

· When you document your work in your paper, provide an interpretation of every figure in your paper. Label every figure with the word “Figure” and a numeric index, like Figure 1, followed by Figure 2. Keep your figures left-align. When you provide your interpretations, make sure to include what figure you are referring to. For example, “Shown in Figure 1, there is” or your interpretation, followed by “(see Figure 1).” When documented this way, it’s similar to the formatting of a citation, within the confines of parentheses, and within the ending punctuation. The figure annotation is in bold letters. the following line is the title of the figure; it is in italics and not bolded. These both will be entered as text in your paper, not included with the visualization in R.

· All figures in the paper must be key findings. There should be many more visualizations in the programming than there are in the paper.

· When providing your interpretations use real words. Don’t use the capitalization shown in the variable names, nor the variables names, unless it is also a word. For example, population represents both a real word and a variable. However, median_household_income is not a word, it is only a variable name and should not be found in your paper. You can refer to the data in this field with the words median household income, without the underscore, or you could define that income represents median household income than just refer to it as income.

Script file

· This file should contain everything needed to run the file. If there were steps taken from the original data set and it was modified in the previous homework submission, include that programming code in this script file. All libraries should still be found in one place, near the top of the script file, after the leading comments required in every script file.

· The programming should include the questions you posed to yourself that led your visualizations in the comments.

· You will more visualizations in your programming than in your paper. If you find that a visualization of data is not meaningful, you can annotate that in comments in your programming, but don’t include that visualization in your paper.

Please read the instructions provided.

Chaos Theory Example

When I was a bedside nurse on a pediatric CICU unit, several safety measures were in place to ensure a smooth transition during shift change. Forgetting or not having time to do these safety checks was not an option, as numerous issues could compromise the patient’s health. A small choice to forgo the handoff safety measures at shift change was a shortcut some nurses chose if they felt confident in doing so. In one instance, a nurse forgot or chose not to calculate the drip rates of her continuous infusions at the start of her shift, which was part of the safety measures needed during shift change. This exclusion of ensuring the proper dose of life-sustaining medications are reaching the patient proved to be a monumental mistake. An insufficient amount of medication was delivered, and the mistake was not caught until several hours later. The seemingly small mistake of forgetting to calculate drip rates negatively impacted the patient’s care and endangered their wellbeing. Knowledge of the Chaos Theory would have benefited those involved by understanding that a very small decision or change can have an enormous impact.

Using Theory to Improve Practice

In research from McGrath (2020), the author’s goal was to improve the very problem stated above: improving handoff communication for patient safety. McGrath identifies ineffective handoff communication in a hemodialysis unit as a risk for errors and jeopardizes patient safety, and a major contributing cause for adverse events. To implement a change in their unit, the researcher utilized Lewin’s Planned Change Theory. This particular theory has three stages: unfreezing, introducing change, and refreezing. Unfreezing involves recognizing the need for change and the driving forces that encourage or resist the improvements. The second step is introducing the change to enhance the process or problem. Refreezing is essentially sustaining the new guidelines placed in stage two. Just as the author in this study, I could use Lewin’s model to “unfreeze” the status quo of leniency towards handoff communication and help others on the unit realize the need for consistency regarding drip rate calculations at shift change. The change itself would be a prompt that each nurse must cosign in the documentation. “Refreezing” would be ensuring the change is maintained by audits and coaching if needed.

Post Writing Measures to Write a Noteworthy Essay

<p>Essay&nbsp;writing is a skill, and learning this skill is essential for all&nbsp;<a href=”https://www.freeessaywriter.net/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener” data-feathr-click-track=”true”><span data-offset-key=”7bnbe-1-0″><span data-text=”true”>essay writer</span></span></a>.&nbsp; Mostly, the students consider following academic writing rules a daunting affair or a tedious job.&nbsp;Notably, the students cannot seek help from an essay writer while attempting a surprise quiz or sitting in an examination hall. Therefore, students must learn the art of creating deep-dyed writing pieces.&nbsp;</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”><img src=”https://i.ibb.co/yYh0tyZ/2.png” alt=”” width=”640″ height=”640″ /></p>

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Usually, the students find it hard and challenging to create an&nbsp;<a href=”https://www.freeessaywriter.net/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener” data-feathr-click-track=”true”><span data-offset-key=”f4qe1-1-0″><span data-text=”true”>essay writing service</span></span></a>. It happens due to insufficient knowledge and a lack of interest in academic writing. However, students must know that they cannot survive their academic writing career without learning the essay writing skills.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Newbie students often complain despite applying all the academic writing laws; they fail to compose a handy writing piece. As a result, the students fret out and try to avoid themselves from writing lengthy essays. Such students look forward to others to complete their assigned task. Doing so is applicable only when a student has to complete an essay writing task before the deadline.</p>

<p>Sometimes, minor mistakes like typos and grammatical errors ruin the entire writing effort of students. Therefore<strong>,</strong>&nbsp;an essay writer needs to look deeply into writing mistakes before submitting a thorough writing piece to&nbsp;<a href=”https://www.freeessaywriter.net/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener” data-feathr-click-track=”true”>write my essay</a>.&nbsp;For this reason, the understudies should gain proficiency with the significance of post composing measures.</p>

<p>There are various components of post composing estimates that are as per the following.</p>

<p><strong>Editing</strong></p>

<p>Editing is perusing the whole composing piece and eliminating spelling botches and syntactic mistakes inside the content. It assumes an indispensable part in a scribbler to make the content of an extensive exposition mistake-free.</p>

<p>Understudies need to comprehend that pretty much every writer commits a few errors while making a particular composing bit of various types. Indeed, even proficient scribblers likewise commit errors identified with spelling or language structure rules. Those minor errors ruin the understudies’ whole composing exertion and, subsequently, neglect to score top evaluations.</p>

<p>Remarkably, the novice understudies typically consider following this specific practice an auxiliary task to perform while understudies should give high significance to all the post-composing measures.</p>

<p>Much more, the minor mistakes like losing an outcry imprint, comma, or different sorts of minor blunders identified with composing slant the picture of composing style. The understudies need to conquer those blunders and minor slip-ups as they put a major imprint on the article’s content.</p>

<p><strong>Altering</strong></p>

<p>It is another significant component of post composing measure. As its name suggests, “altering” encourages an article author to revamp a sentence or even an entire section to make the content more convincing and satisfactory than previously. At the point when an understudy edits a paper, once in a while, it finds that the content is difficult to peruse. At last, the writer revises a sentence with the goal that the content gets discernible and adequate.</p>

<p>Understudies should write simple and basic words in the content so a common individual with fundamental information on a particular language can likewise comprehend the substance.</p>

<p><strong>Changing</strong></p>

<p>When an essayist is finished with editing and altering, it is currently an ideal opportunity to overhaul the whole composing piece. Generally, the understudies consider following this specific practice a dull occupation as it is a period taking cycle. To save energy and time, understudies frequently use present-day instruments that help journalists feature syntactic mistakes or grammatical errors.</p>

<p>It is practical to specify here that the apparatuses identified with scholastic composing are not completely solid. The advanced instruments don’t eliminate all the linguistic slip-ups or&nbsp;<a href=”https://www.freeessaywriter.net/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener” data-feathr-click-track=”true”><span data-offset-key=”26huf-1-0″><span data-text=”true”>essay help</span></span></a>&nbsp;the writers make an essay presentable. Therefore, it is highly recommended that the students adopt a manual practice to compose an error-free essay.</p>

Course outcome(s) assessed in this Assignment:

PU120-2: Describe the impact public health informatics and communications has upon the social determinants of population health.

GEL-4.02 Distinguish among different theoretical perspectives in the social sciences.

Instructions

Public health officials use a variety of methods to collect demographic, cultural/ethnic, and health data in an effort to develop and implement effective programs to improve health outcomes. What may be a major health concern for African Americans living in New York City may not pose a health threat for Hispanics living in Houston, Texas. Likewise, citizens living in an inner city or disadvantaged community may be facing serious health concerns that pose no issue for those living in middle and upper class neighborhoods within the same city. Therefore, public health officials must use every tool available to them to determine not only what the public health concerns are, but where they exist and who are most affected.

  • Develop slide presentation that has a minimum of 10 slides (not including the title and reference slides) with detailed speaker notes that addresses the following questions:
    • Describe how public health officials collect data. ○ How do public health officials (locally, statewide and/or federally) compile the data that is gathered?
    • How do public health officials disseminate this data to both the public and healthcare agencies?
    • What effects does human culture have on how the information is perceived by the public?
    • How does culture positively or negatively affect the perception and use of the health information provided to the public at large? How can public health data be used at all levels of government (local, state and federal) to positively impact the social determinants of population health?

Requirements

  • You are required to have a title slide and a reference slide. It is also advisable to include an introduction and conclusion slide just as you would when writing a paper.
  • Be sure to cite all information throughout the presentation in APA writing and citation styles.

Virtuous Leadership and Servanthood 150-200 Words of Discussion about the below discussed topic

Virtuous Leadership and Servanthood

I like to tie my learning to Biblical Principles. On Virtuous Leadership, I think about what leader in the Bible do I know that stands out as a virtuous leader. Although there are many, one that stands out to me is Nehemiah. Nehemiah’s brother and others said that they had been to Jerusalem and the Wall has been broken down, and the gates were burned. Nehemiah listened and took this news personally as if he was the wounded party. In other words, it broke his heart to hear this news.

He then took personal responsibility, prayed, and asked God to forgive him and his people for not obeying his commands. Then he took personal action, and at great danger to himself, he appeared before the King sad – remember that no King wants a sad cupbearer. When the King saw how sad Nehemiah was, he asked him why, and Nehemiah explained the state of his city walls and asked permission to go and fix them. He went and fixed the walls. He got involved in the work as a servant leader and getting the people what they needed.  They had a city again with walls and a gate, and most importantly, they had protection!

We can see in this story that a servant leader is someone who takes personal responsibility for what has gone wrong and sets out to fix it, but not only does he/she fix the problem, the servant leader gets involved in the work and works alongside his workers to get the job done right. By doing so, the servant leader demonstrates his care for his workers and organization.

Share a story of a servant leader either in the Bible or someone you know.

Principles of Business Management – Week 6 Assignment

Organizational Strategy and Innovation

In this assignment you’ll be developing the second section of the Camp Bow Wow Dog Park Summary Report that is based around the concepts of organizational strategy, innovation, and managing change.

Now that you have mapped out how you are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling your task force formation, the next step of the report is to convey how innovation, change, and organizational strategy will help create a competitive advantage with the development of the Camp Bow Wow Dog Park.

The first step of section II is to complete a hypothetical SWOT analysis by categorizing what you perceive to be the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of moving forward with a Camp Bow Wow Dog Park. Complete the following SWOT Matrix by categorizing the following factors in the appropriate row below:

Canine Epidemic, Large Market of Dog Owners, PETA Concerns, City Regulations, Liability (Dog Bites), Profit Margins, Complimentary Service, Maintenance Upkeep, Site Ownership, Customer Retention, Market Awareness, Zoning, Environmental Regulations, Marketing Costs, Weather/Seasonal Concerns, Existing Customer Base, New Revenue Source, Staff Training, Experience in Dog Park Business, No Existing Dog Parks in Market, Staffing Expenses, Innovative in Dog Boarding Model, Park Construction Cost, Unique Service.

Then create a grid chart with the four following labels at the top: Strengths, weaknesses,  opportunities, and threats. Then each one of the factors above will go into one of the categories above.

Based on what you have categorized in your SWOT analysis, the second step is to write a summary conveying how innovation and change will create a competitive advantage with the development of the Camp Bow Wow Dog Park. Be sure to include how a Camp Bow Wow Dog Park can or will support the position strategies of cost leadership, differentiation, and focus strategy (see text Positioning Strategies section 5-4b). You are preparing this summary to be presented at your first task force meeting that will guide the team of its goal and what potential impact to the Camp Bow Wow operation. (300 words)
