God, Humanity, and Human Dignity. Response 2

2. What is the Christian concept of the imago Dei? How might it be important to health care, and why is it relevant?

Student Answer:   Chiamaka Ezeh Re: Topic 2 DQ 1

What is the Christian concept of the imago Dei?

The concept of Imago Dei is the biblical Christian belief that man was made in the image of God. The image in question is not physical features or appearance but from his character, form, and uniqueness. God is a triune God which means that he is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Man, also is a triune being, made of spirit, soul, and body. The character of God is love, compassion, kindness, peace, forgiveness, power, authority, holiness, and righteousness, so God created man to imitate these characters and to treat each other with love and kindness.

Also, just like God oversees heaven, he wants man to take charge of the earth. White (2020).

How might it be important to health care, and why is it relevant?

Viewing individuals in the image of God makes it easy for us to show compassion, empathy, and respect to others knowing that whatsoever we do to the least of our brothers, that we do onto God himself. This is important because it promotes human-to-human connection and dignity. Mark (2017).

It also teaches us to treat the sick and dying with dignity and respect leading to positive outcomes.

Finally, it makes us view human life as the most valuable thing in the world. All healthcare workers should adopt this ideology, knowing that each life is significant, meaningful, deserving of respect, love, and kindness.

nursing leadership

To be a change agent means to simply facilitate change.  The change agent is responsible for translating changes into plans and executing them while also motivating and encouraging others to achieve the desire results (Nurse Leader, 2017).  As a leader, I have been a change agent on many occasions.  I am the responsible person for training and enforcing policy changes in the clinic.  Change does not always (if ever) go over smoothly with my team.  One scenario in specific stands out to me.  Recent changes in leadership at our facility have created some chaos at the clinic.  Annual clinical competencies have always been completed and reported in the same manner.  When the new leadership came, the entire evaluation and competency program was revamped.  Although this was for the better, the staff had a difficult time adjusting.  After being given my guidelines, I was responsible for creating a plan to get all of the skills organized.  This included making a schedule to have everyone observed and signed off, educating staff where needed, and reporting the results to my leadership.  I motivated the team with words of encouragement.  “How fortunate are we to work for a facility that not only keeps us accountable, but also aids in our continued education to help us be as informed as possible.  We are able to provide better care to our patients because we are better educated.”

Another nurse at my facility (also a member of leadership) is often times a change agent as well.  She has a way of wording things to sound pleasant when they may not be.  In this way, she encourages and motivates our team to take active roles in changes around the clinic that they may otherwise shy away from.  The staff are more engaged with changes when they feel involved.  This makes a smoother transition for everyone.

You will need to view one of the pre-approved motion pictures listed below. After viewing the movie, you are to write a 2-3 page paper critiquing the movie based on what you’ve learned about perception in Chapter 3. • 2-3 full pages (double-spaced) with an introduction, body, and conclusion
  • Follow MLA formatting
  • Discuss (3) concepts or principles, define them clearly, and apply them to the movie. For each concept, there should be a full paragraph defining and explaining what that concept means; then make a connection to the movie in the next paragraph.

Top 7 Tips For Choosing A College Paper Writing Service

Today, almost two-thirds of college scholars use essay writing services for their university papers. This is understandable as a result of the numerous tasks on the shoulders of every student in college. Custom writing services prove to be the easiest, accessible, and reliable means of getting research papers done on time. Sadly, a lot of undergraduates still fall victims to inexperienced and quack writers online. How do you choose the best? Let’s show you how!

Avoid Ridiculously Cheap Services

To be guaranteed a high-quality and well-researched college paper, refrain from patronizing cheap writing services. Platforms that claim to deliver custom essay writing within a few hours end up submitting shabby jobs to students. It’d be wise to set aside a budget then check College-Paper reviews for reliable essay writing platforms. You have a higher chance of getting a plagiarism report by seeking help from cheap college paper service providers.

Watch Out For Creative Professionals

University students often have to write a series of essays to scale through college. This is why subscribing to a platform of creative professional writers is your best shot before hiring. You’d need skilled writers with various writing styles to increase the uniqueness of your paper. Students lose points when writers use an argumentative tone when working on expository essays. From customer reviews, you can be guaranteed of the diversity a service provider claims.

Ensure There’s An Open Line of Communication

Before committing or hiring a custom essay writer or agency, ensure they have an accessible line of communication. Lecturers and professors sometimes update the contents of their research papers. You want to be sure your writer is always reachable to pass across valid information and updates. It’d be best to go for platforms with instant messaging and live chats for immediate response and implementation of your updates.

24/7 Customer Service

Sometimes, many college students find it difficult to get across to their online writing services because of the difference in time zones. Before choosing any platform, ensure they have 24/7 customer service to reply to your questions, requests, and complaints. Working with a 24/7 customer service provider also helps you track the progress of your college paper. A good writing service always ensures their students have easy access to them at all times.

Free Revisions!

Before hiring a custom essay writing service, be sure there aren’t hidden charges on revisions. Unknown to most undergrads, many providers assign extra charges to revisions on academic projects and essays. You’d agree that revisions on college papers are almost inevitable and come at intervals. Undergraduates save themselves the burden and cost of paying extra for revisions by making inquiries about the revision before hiring.

Read Through Their Service Guarantee

Writing service guarantee is a section that states the value-added services of online essay writing websites. Ensure you read carefully through the customer reviews to be certain they offer the services as claimed. Is their on-time delivery guarantee valid? Are their writing services implemented with up-to-date sources and references? Does ghostwriting confidentiality strip them of the rights of reselling the papers? Be sure that there’s proof on their reviews of these guarantees before hiring their services.

Get A Plagiarism Report

As explained earlier, your chances of incurring plagiarism with cheap writing services are extremely high. Regardless, before choosing your writer, ensure you get a guarantee of the plagiarism report. The plagiarism report is a preview of a plagiarism check of a research paper against copied content online. Request that the company or individual sends you a softcopy of the originality status of the paper. This isn’t difficult to get using plagiarism detection software.

Conclusion

Students seek professional help when writing their college or research papers in the university. However, knowing how to choose the best and reliable provider might be challenging, especially for scholars in their early years. With these tips, you should screen through a wide range of options for the most qualified professionals.

(The behavior change I want written about is how I have let some people go in my life, and staying off social media, which I briefly mention is some of my journals for you to go off of.)

According to the researchers: Individual motivation for behavior change occurs in 4 stages:

#1: PRECONTEMPLATION (change is not even considered at this point),

#2: CONTEMPLATION (seriously consider a behavior change),

#3: ACTION (key steps where new behavior is given a try) and

#4: MAINTENANCE (long term change where the behavior becomes part of day-to-day living).

HOW, if at all, did you APPLY these STAGES to a particular BEHAVIOR that you desired to CHANGE OVERTIME. You can site page references and or web sites. Please be specific and refer to the positive and negative factors in all of the stages that were instrumental in establishing change. If a change has not been maintained then reflect on why not.

Kicking a bad habit

Think about a habit or behavior you have that you just can’t seem to curb (we all have them!). Did you acquire this habit through operant or classical conditioning, and how? Try to design a program/method where you use one of these concepts to help you quit this habit- which could you use, and how will it work?

Exploring PTSD and Memory

This week’s readings discuss quite a plethora of information, too, on how memory works. What role does post-traumatic stress disorder play in memory retrieval, persistence of memories, and interference? How does what we know about the way memory works help us understand Post-Traumatic Stress disorder?

Mapping the brain for memory/learning

Interestingly, memories do have specific locations in the brain (hint: check page 268-269). How does knowing these physical locations help explain why and how classical conditioning works? What about operant conditioning?

Psychology in education

Consider how these concepts might play a role in the educational setting… how might each of these concepts help you as a student to succeed in classes? What are some examples of how you might implement each type of conditioning to your own learning to help you do well in class?

Assignment Instructions

Assignment Instructions

There is a wealth of information available in the traditional formats of books, journals, and newspapers. UMUC’s library subscribes to many databases that contain such resources, which are available in electronic format.

For this assignment, you will do a search of UMUC’s databases for Five (5) articles in scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals on your chosen topic. Each citation should be between 250-300 words each. For help with this you should review this source from the UMUC Writing Center: http://www.umuc.edu/current-students/learning-resources/writing-center/writing-resources/evaluating-sources.cfm. You can also utilize the “Chat with a Librarian” feature. In the top menu under “Resources” click on “Library” and you should see the “Chat with a Librarian” feature on the right.

Select a topic that will form the basis for your Annotated Bibliography and Annotated Webliography (your Annotated Webliography is due in Week 7). You should choose some topic that deals with some aspect of world history to 1500. This covers a broad area so you can use your imagination. For example, you could cover Egyptian Agriculture, medieval weaponry, or Roman aqueducts to name a few. If you are unsure whether your topic is acceptable, you should run it by your instructor for approval.

Provide a complete citation for the site, including the URL and your date of access. Note that the required citation style is Chicago Manual of Style. For an example of what elements to include in your citation, go to Course Content and review the resources in the Chicago Style module. In the Sample Citations section, look under Online Journal Articles and note that you need to provide the name of the database you found the article in and your date of access.

Analytical Annotated Bibliography Components:

1. Begin each annotated bibliography entry by identifying the source in correct Chicago Manual of Style documentation.

2. A brief description of the author’s topic, thesis, and methodology. In other words, in what academic discipline does the work fall in (history, literature, social science, women’s studies, cultural studies, etc.)? What kind of evidence does the author draw upon?

3. A concise outline of the main points in the text.

4. A statement about the author’s goals and his/her intended audience. Are there any clear biases?

5. MOST IMPORTANTLY–Your critical evaluation of the text’s usefulness for the investigation of your topic. What are the strengths of the source? What are the deficiencies or limitations of the source?

6. Did the article help you to further understand the topic? If so, explain how. If not, explain what information might have been helpful.

7. Explain how each of your sources compares to the others. Are there any general trends you see in your selected books and articles?

There are numerous websites that will show you how to construct an annotated bibliography. UMUC also has a guide to writing an annotated bibliography (requires Flash Player to view the video) http://www.umuc.edu/library/libhow/bibliography_tutorial.cfm.

If your article has an abstract DO NOT CUT AND PASTE IT AND SUBMIT IT. That is plagiarism and will result in an investigation of your paper for a possible violation of the university’s academic integrity policy. Read the article and do your own summary.

This assignment can be time consuming so do not let it get away from you. If you have any questions please email your instructor sooner rather than later. The grading rubric for the Annotated Bibliography is available in the module labeled “Rubrics”. You will find a sample Annotated Bibliography in the module labeled “Sample Assignments.” You may not use the articles from the sample. Additionally, the sample assignment is meant as a guideline as to what an ‘A’ paper is and is not intended to be a ‘perfect’ assignment

Typically, most of the hacking in today’s world seem to be caused by infecting systems with malwares like virus, logical bombs etc. But there is another set of hackers who target the most vulnerable part of any organization: Human psychology. They use procedures which the employee uses in daily basis like E-mail, telephonic calls etc. and thus making it very susceptible. These attacks are also called as Social Engineering attacks. Five common social engineering attacks are as follows:

PHISHING: Phishing is one of the most commonly methods used to get user’s personal and financial information. This attacks reach individuals in form of mails or telephonic calls where the user is tricked to give information.

PRETEXTING: Pretexting is when the hackers create a scenario such that it looks genuine to the target and they give in information or access to the attacker party. Example would be when an outsider tries to get into organization by faking identity and lost entry pass.

BAITING: Baiting is similar to Phishing, but here the target is also enticed with gifts and prizes. Baiting usually happens when user tries to download a movie or music, where the target is made to surrender the login credentials. Baiting are also done using physical media devices like USB, Hard disk etc. Next time when you find USB or Hardrive in your parking lot, it might be baiting.

QUID PRO QUO:  This is similar to baiting except the prize promised is a service. In these types of attacks, the hackers keep calling or disturbing the target and when target raise a question about the same, they are enticed with getting rid of that problem if the target disable firewall or AV temporarily. This is very serious issue in itself.

TAILGATING:   Tailgating is when attackers follows an employee and gets a unauthorized access into the office or server room.

Social engineering attacks are increasing in alarming rate and the target can never guess it until it happens. In 2007,  a person with box of chocolates and his charm gained confidence of ABN Amro Bank , Belgium and walked out with up to 120000 carats gem stones. He not only tricked the security personal to give a duplicate key but also let him know the locker number. Consistent training and practicing alertness is the only way to overcome social engineering attacks,

Expanded Definitions—due Nov 18

Start by picking a term (short phrases are fine). You may choose a term that you know well or want to understand better. Feel free to be creative. Generally, if you pick a subject you know a lot about—you don’t have to do much research, which is a real plus. Here are some suggestions for how to choose a term. This assignment is to be completed in class only.

· from your field or a hobby.

· from the Urban Dictionary online (or another slang word or a word you made up), but the document will still need to have some kind of serious point to it.

· from another language defined for an English speaker (words or concepts that lose meaning in translation)

Follow the examples on pages in Chapter 17 404-405 and 406-407(the best example because of the headings). Combine research with your own knowledge to define your term, using at least 5 expansion methods (398-402). Remember you must use expansion methods that are well-suited for giving your audience the information they need, not just random methods that are easier to use (such as a clip art visuals). Do not label the expansion methods because they should be seamlessly integrated, but headings are quite helpful (see example 406-407). You will need at least 3 sources: one source may be the Urban Dictionary or Wikipedia, but the other 2 must be a more legitimate sources. Do not cut and paste. That’s plagiarism. Cite your sources according to MLA format with in-text citations and a Works Cited.

These definitions should be one and a half to PAGES
