Identify recruitment metrics. (4)

Directions

  1. Select an organization, either where you work, or one you are interested in, AND have not used in past course research and/or papers.
  2. Identify the Organization’s Employee Value Proposition. (Watch the following video for an example of an EVP @ Dell):

3. After identifying the Employee Value Proposition, select a job within the organization, and do the following:

  • 1-Evaluate whether you think the EVP is effective. Use ‘How to Develop an Employer Value Proposition’ on page 256-257 as a guide.
  • 2-Identify how you would market the organization and the job to job seekers, include a short (phrase to a sentence or two) recruitment message.
  • 3-Identify where the organization is sourcing for current job seekers. If unable to determine, discuss where they would source job seekers. Do you have any other recommendations for where to source applicants?
  • 4-What metrics would you recommend using to measure the efficacy of the recruitment message?

2-3 Final Project: Milestone One : Human Resource Management

 Overview: This milestone is designed to begin a critical analysis applying knowledge gained within the course. This short paper assignment is the first step in the analysis of the company that will become your final project. For the final project, you will review the human resource management (HRM) in an organization through a real scenario. This case study will give you the opportunity to explore various roles and processes within the human resources profession. A key skill for any professional working in human resources is the ability to develop and implement processes that align with a company’s strategic plan and mission.

Begin by reading the first 13 pages of the case study, A.P. Moller-Maersk Group: Evaluating Strategic Talent Management Initiatives (up to HR-Customer Initiative at Maersk), located in your Harvard Business Review Coursepack.

Start your short paper by briefly answering the following questions:

1. Explain why the human resource function should be aligned with an organization’s strategic plan (use ideas from the Module One discussion on this topic).

2. Explain how current global conditions in Maersk’s industry impact human resource management practices within this organization (use ideas from the Module One discussion on this topic).

Then, using the material on recruitment strategies provided in this week’s lesson and the case study, address the following:

1. Compare and contrast recruitment and selection of internal versus external candidates in general.

2. Describe how Maersk has recruited and selected new employees who were aligned with the organization’s vision and goals over the years.

3. Assess the effectiveness of its recruitment process and determine what changes if any you would recommend to improve employee success and retention.

Guidelines for Submission: Your submission should be 2–3 pages in length and double-spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font. Be sure to list your references at the end of your paper.

Clinical Field Experience

 Description

Due to the pandemic and limited availability to a mentor teacher and students, I will be providing optional alternative directions for the CFE. If you can complete the CFE as originally designed, please do so!

Allocate at least 2 hours in the field to support this field experience.

Part 1: I Do, We Do, You Do Observation

For this field experience, you will observe your choice of a Grade K-8 class(es) during the introduction of a new literacy concept. Due to the current circumstances with the co-vid 19 pandemic, you can use video observations to complete this assignment. You may need to watch more than one video to fulfill the 2 hours. When completing your assignment, you can base it off one video, or a synthesis of all. It is up to you!

During your observation(s), take notes on the teacher’s instruction and complete the “I Do, We Do You Do Template” to identify the methods used when introducing the new concept in literacy. Not all teachers will use the same model, but do your best to identify the IWY components observed in the lesson plan. If the teacher does not use the IWY strategy, then explain his or her teaching strategy.

Part 2: Teacher Collaboration

While observing the literacy lesson, reflect on these questions. (No written response needed for Part 2)

  1. What instructional methods did they use when introducing and teaching a new concept in literacy?
  2. Does their model include direct instruction, guided practice, and independent work?
  3. What strategies did they use to create class interaction and discussion?
  4. Did they show examples of how to differentiate for your students?
  5. How did they assess their students’ understanding of new concepts being taught?
  6. How did they accommodate the engagement and understanding of atypical students?
  7. When and where did they find the most gaps when introducing a new concept in literacy?
  8. What where their reflections on the overall degree of effectiveness of your model for teaching new concepts in literacy?
  9. How did they seek professional opportunities to improve instructional practices in the area of literacy?

Part 3: Reflection

In 250-500 words, summarize and reflect upon the observations and reflection about the instructional strategies that were implemented during the literacy lesson(s). Explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.

Submit the “I Do, We Do, You Do,” template and reflection as one deliverable.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite. Refer to the LopesWrite Technical Support articles for assistance.

Please include a link to videos used for this assignment. (It does not need to be in APA). Also, be sure to stay true to the two hours of CFE hours!

you will need to make a

record each time you spend money. Some examples may include: groceries, rent, child care,

books, car repairs, entertainment (movie/concert tickets, lunch/dinner out), gas, doctor’s visit,

etc. There are endless ways you may spend money throughout the day. The idea is to keep a

journal each time you spend so you become aware of where you are spending your hard-earned

money.  The last day to record entries will be

Saturday, July 3rd

. You will be tracking daily

spending for

two

weeks. Transfer your daily expenditures into an Excel spreadsheet on a regular

basis.

EXCEL (50%)

:  Use a new sheet in the workbook for

each

week starting on Sundays and

ending on Saturdays. (Hint: Your Excel workbook should contain 2 sheets/tabs at the bottom).

Be sure to include the (1) date, the (2) amount, and for (3) what or where the money was spent.

In the

personal finance appendix of your BUSN textbook

, there is a discussion of

discretionary and nondiscretionary payments.

Next to

each

daily expenditure in your Excel

workbook, be sure to (4) distinguish whether the payment was discretionary or nondiscretionary.

There are a variety of ways you can organize each sheet as far as rows/columns. Feel free to be

creative.  Let this project be a discovery process that will benefit you in your personal finances.

Be sure to include the four items described above.

PAPER (50%)

: You will need to write a paper (2 pages) regarding the observations you made

about your daily spending habits. Be sure to discuss the following:

Where your money comes from

Where you spent the most of your money

At least

three

areas where you can reduce spending AND steps/strategies you can take to

implement those changes

What type of  traditional investments you have or will work towards establishing and

why you chose this type of investment(s).

See your textbook for ideas and different types

of

traditional

investments.

Use the

Requesting Help to fix a Formal critique Museum paper

NOTE: You must choose a work by looking at the collection online of any museum. YOU MUST USE ALL THE ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES FOR THE WORK OF ART THAT YOU CHOOSE.  Please be certain to complete paragraphs 4 and 5 as directed. Make sure that you include your personal evaluation as specified so that I have your opinion as part of the analysis. This essay should be more than 750 words.

The six elements

(1) line

(2) shape

(3) color

(4) value

(5) space

(6) texture

The six principles

(1) scale

(2) proportion

(3) balance

(4) unity

(5) focal point

(6) emphasis

PARAGRAPH #1: Descriptive Phase

Describe the artwork you have selected. Identify the work of art with the title, artist, and medium (see the label). Write your initial response (item A below) to the work. What do you think the artwork is about (story)?  What message (idea) are you receiving from the work?  You may find both.

PARAGRAPH #2: Analytical Phase A

Analyze the artist’s use of the Elements of Art in the artwork you select.  Locate and write about specific examples (item B below) in your selected artwork. Think about how the artist’s use of the Elements affects your response to the artwork for Paragraph 5.

PARAGRAPH #3: Analytical Phase B

  Analyze the artist’s use of the Principles of Art/Design in your selected artwork.  Locate and write about the specific examples (B below) in your selected artwork.  Think about how the artist’s use of the Principles affects your response to the artwork for Paragraph 5.

PARAGRAPH #4: Interpretative Phase

Using the information provided by the book, event program, or museum label information as research, write about how your selected artwork fits in with the body of work and the intent of the artist—if you don’t know, then compare it to what else you see around you in the area. DO NOT CONDUCT ANY ADDITIONAL RESEARCH FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT.  THIS IS NOT A RESEARCH PAPER.

PARAGRAPH #5: Evaluative Phase

In CONCLUSION, state whether your personal response was changed by both your formal analysis (the Elements and Principles) and the research from the text. Be sure to include more than this simple statement. Qualify your response with reasons why (how), or why not, 2, 3, and 4 affected your first response.  ADDITIONALLY, by visiting a museum, even virtually, you support the arts community. After your personal response to the work of art you chose, think about the work and where you saw it. Write a few sentences that demonstrate your understanding of the value of the work, the place you saw it, and its impact on the community.

NOTE on this assignment and on writing in general:

A. First responses should be just that. Resist the urge to over-think this. React and respond and describe that feeling or response in your writing.  If the artwork tells you a story, then communicate that story in your writing.  If it makes you sad, then express that in your writing, and explain why.

B. You MUST give specific examples of how and where the artist uses them in your selected artwork.  Do not simply list the elements and principles used in the image. Additionally, the examples you provide must reflect the artist’s use and application of the Elements and Principles in the making of the artwork, NOT about the story, meaning, or responses.

A well-constructed paragraph must be at least 5 sentences long. Also, all material related to the topic of the paragraph stays in that paragraph. You may refer back to that information in other places in your essay, but introduce the information in its appropriate place.

Essays and individual paragraphs have a beginning, middle, and end.  In this essay, the beginning is your initial response; the middle represents your analysis and research (2, 3, 4), and your conclusion is paragraph 5 which ties back to your beginning.

NO CONTRACTIONS ARE APPROPRIATE INFORMAL WRITING!  Do not use

don’t, use do not. You may you “I” because this is a subjective paper. College-level grammar is expected. Use MLA formatting.

Understanding Java Discussion

 Please respond to the below text in 100 words or more.

While  researching the topic I learned that selective statements are used for  decision making in the code. Selective statements use lines such as “if”  or “else”. An example of this would be to find if a number is greater  than or equal to a number in an equation. I wrote the following simple  code in Eclipse to help demonstrate this.

int A=4;

if (A<3||A>3) {

System.out.println(“A is not equal to 3”);

}else {System.out.println(“A is equal to 3”);

The code would see the number 4 and be able to tell you that it is not equal to 3.

Repetitive  statements are different from selective statements as they are used to  repeat the code or are used for looping if they are within the  parameters you have set. Repetitive statements use the “for statement”,  “while statement”, and “do-while statement”.

Using math again for my examples I have used the following codes to show how these statements work.

for (int x = 0; x*2 < 15; x++)

{

System.out.println(x);

In  this example I am using the for statement. Essentially, I am asking the  code to give me all the numbers that can be multiplied by 2 without  going over 15. It will start with 0 and go up one number until 7, as any  integer above 7 would be greater than 15.

int x = 0;

while (x <= 200)

{

System.out.println(x);

x = x+50;

The  while statement is used here to tell the code that it wants it to  repeat adding 50, while starting at 0 while not going over 200.

Translation Models

Translation Models

Diabetes is an international crisis and considered to be one of the Global Burden Diseases (The U.S. Burden of Disease Collaborators, 2018). In the primary care setting, translating the evidence of preventing Diabetic Foot Ulcers is done by introducing self-care education to primary care patients with a transitional Model. Almost 1/3 of people with diabetes acquire foot ulcers, and of these ulcers, 3/4 are avoidable (Bus & Van Netten, 2016). Therefore, it is incredibly essential to translate this evidence into action to prevent foot loss by amputation and, ultimately, early mortality. The Knowledge to Action Model (KTA) is used to translate all the evidence-based research knowledge on diabetic foot care into action in the clinic setting. KTA has two main components, “Knowledge Creation” and the “Action Cycle.” Using KTA, we already have numerous research available on diabetic foot care, funneled to identify a knowledge gap or problem. Knowing the problem, we must implement the second phase, which has seven stages called the Action Cycle. It can be continuous and go in either direction if necessary.

Stage One: The problem of poor diabetic foot care education on one-third of diabetics has been identified, and a knowledge gap exists between patients and caregivers.

Stage Two: The local setting of primary care with a high population of Hispanic patients with diabetes.

Stage Three: One of the possible barriers to this self-care program will be staffing and proper nurses’ training as educators. Also, the time it takes to teach patients. Another obstacle will be the patient’s willingness to learn and perform appropriate foot care daily.  This project’s facilitators will be the primary care providers and management at a micro, meso, and macro-level. The facilitators would help ensure proper staffing and more time allotted in the clinic for foot care sessions during diabetic visits.

Stage Four: Implement the project by educating nurses on diabetes and its effect on the body. The second part of implementation would be having the nurses teach foot care to Hispanic Diabetic patients at every visit. Using a transtheoretical Change Model at this stage would be appropriate.

Stage Five: In this stage, we would monitor the nurses’ knowledge using surveys and observation. We would measure the patients learning with a teach-back method and questionnaire.

Stage Six: Evaluating the outcomes might take a little longer to see results. Still, we should assess feedback from the nurses, podiatrist providers, and patients on the knowledge and care provided through surveys and questionnaires.

Stage Seven: This stage is not a final step but rather a step where knowledge is sustained with continuous updates and reassessments. This stage would keep the program fresh, and the key stakeholders would play the role of being receptive to the new norm and not become disengaged.

The resources needed for this project would be a clinical educator to train nurses on the effects and care of diabetic patients, mostly on foot self-care: foot care literature, handouts, and a small foot care kit for patients.  The kit would consist of a lotion, liquid soap, Emory boards, monofilament, and a mirror. This kit would cost about 12-15 dollars per unit. Key stakeholders such as pharmaceutical companies or diabetic organizations and community leaders would be instrumental in funding each diabetic patient with a self-care kit.
