Health Promotion Editorial Assignment

Health Promotion Editorial Assignment

Print media offers professionals the opportunity to publish “opinion pieces” that spark debate on topics of interest to the community such as health care. For this assignment, you should select a health promotion topic of interest to you that is applicable to adults.

You are to format a health promotion idea into a “guest editorial” like you would do if submitting your idea to the local print media. There is a limit of 350 words for this assignment. You should have an opening statement that articulates your health promotion focus and your imaginative idea! The body of the narrative should provide statistics to help promote your strategy and use an inductive approach to convince the reader why he or she would follow your advice. Be sure to save your strongest argument to the end which will help to conclude the editorial.

You will have a cover page with your name and the topic of your health promotion editorial.

The narrative will be on the next page and is limited to 350 words – at the bottom of your reference page, state the number of words in the body of your assignment. Do not count your cover page or your reference list words. Do not cite your references in the body of the narrative in the editorial – only on the reference list as these will take up many words in your word count.

This assignment will be written using 12-pt font, double-spaced. Your references will be in APA 7th format on a separate page after your narrative

Assignment: Case Analysis—Google in China

Module Overview:

Fundamental to understanding global business is knowledge of the types of economic systems in which countries operate. Economies can be quickly and easily characterized into three main types: communism, socialism or capitalism which are also referred to as centrally planned, mixed, and free market economies. The primary differences among these types of economies are in the behaviors and attitudes towards ownership of property and the planning techniques employed by the government. In a centrally planned economy, the government owns most or all of the resources of production and plans the production of consumer and other products goods and services. In a free market economy, the ownership of resources is in the hands of private individuals or organizations, taking forms such as partnerships or corporations. The choice of production of goods and services in this system is determined through market forces, that is, the interaction between price, demand, and supply.

Economic Discussion Question

A key concept in economics and finance is the time value of money

Most investment decisions, like buying a house, paying for your education, or starting a business, involve making a payment up front in order to earn a return later. (You pay money out at one or more points in time and later receive your benefits based on the investment’s agreement.)

Additionally, economic factors such as supply and demand can play an important role in your investment process. If there is a huge supply of houses available in a neighborhood you like, housing prices in that neighborhood may go down due to a lack of current demands.

Therefore, you as the buyer have more power and may be able to make an offer that is lower than the initial asking price. Alternatively, in a neighborhood that is very much in demand and low in available housing, the housing prices may be higher, and you may need to offer to pay more to compete with other offers for a home there.

Decisions in investments can end in a variety of ways. Applying your problem solving skill and critical thinking strategies can help you successfully analyze opportunities to bring the best benefits for your efforts. Adjusting for the time value of money lets you calculate if the rewards are worth the wait so that you can arrive at an informed decision before you commit your money.

In this week’s discussion:

Identify an investment decision that you or someone else has made. (This should be for goods or services for which one or more payments were made in order to receive increased benefits from those goods or services at a later time.)

  • How do you think the concept of supply and demand impacted the investment decision?

  • Now that you understand the time value of money, how would you use your problem solving skill (especially critical thinking strategies) to rethink the decision in the future?

MULTIPLE REGRESSION FOR PREDICTIVE MODELING

As a data analyst, you will assess continuous data sources for their relevance to specific research questions throughout your career.

In your previous coursework, you have performed data cleaning and exploratory data analysis on your data. You have seen basic trends and patterns and now can start building more sophisticated statistical models. In this course, you will use and explore both multiple regression and logistic regression models and their assumptions.

For this task, you will select one of the Data Sets and Associated Data Dictionaries from the following link:

Data Sets and Associated Data Dictionaries

You will then review the data dictionary related to the raw data file you have chosen, and prepare the data set file for multiple regression modeling. The organizations connected with the given data sets for this task seek to analyze their operations and have collected variables of possible use to support decision-making processes. You will analyze your chosen data set using multiple regression modeling, create visualizations, and deliver the results of your analysis. It is recommended that you use the cleaned data set from your previous course.

Note: The link to the data files can also be found below in the web links section. If you have trouble accessing the link, copy and paste the link directly into your web browser.

REQUIREMENTS

Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. The originality report that is provided when you submit your task can be used as a guide.

You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.

Tasks may not be submitted as cloud links, such as links to Google Docs, Google Slides, OneDrive, etc., unless specified in the task requirements. All other submissions must be file types that are uploaded and submitted as attachments (e.g., .docx, .pdf, .ppt).
