Programming in C

Please look attachment of the assignment Point Deduction. It’s important to follow the proper guidelines. See Sample Assignment as a guide how the assignment should look like.

Assignment on Programming C:

Write a C program that calculates and prints the sum, difference, product, quotient, and remainder (modulus) of two integer numbers. You will use two numbers different from the numbers that I use. One of the statements in your program should be the following, but with different numbers (do not use zero for either number):

 int num1 = 60, num2 = 25;

Once you create, compile, link and run your program, your program should output with the following format:

The two numbers used by this program are 60 and 25.

The sum is 85

The difference is 35

The product is 1500

The quotient is 2 with a remainder of 10

The terms sum, difference, product, and quotient refer to the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Also, you need to use numbers other than 60 and 25 in your program. You can use any numbers you wish except zero. Important: The correct output spacing and rhetoric is part of the program too.

Hints: 

The terms sum, difference, product, and quotient refer to the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

This program can be accomplished with all integer variables (I used 7). 

This program can be accomplished in about 12 lines of code (not including variable declarations, comments, or blank lines). Don’t worry if you need more lines of code. 

You should have a line in your program that looks something like this:

 int num1 = 60, num2 = 25;

Determining Workflow Issues

In this Discussion, you examine scenarios that feature workflow issues related to the HITECH Act and its meaningful use objectives. You identify specific workflow gaps and consider how you would conduct a gap analysis to gather more information about the gaps. This Discussion allows you to explore workflow gaps and meaningful use objectives to prepare you for completing the Course Project, which is also centered on workflow gaps and their relevance to meaningful use objectives.

Scenario 1:
Stephanie is a nurse practitioner at Central Care Hospital who is often involved in administering prescribed medications for patients in the general care ward. When a physician sees a patient, he or she uses the hospital’s EHR system to document findings and recommendations for treatment, but submits medication and drug orders by faxing prescriptions to the hospital’s pharmacy. Before Stephanie administers the medications from the pharmacy, she must cross-check the medication and dosage with the physician’s notes and patient information in the EHR system. In doing so, Stephanie often identifies problems with the medication the physician prescribed; patients are sometimes prescribed a medication to which they have a known allergy or one that conflicts with another medication they are currently taking. In addition, the pharmacy sometimes sends the wrong medication or the wrong dosage. Furthermore, for patients who have been transferred from other parts of the hospital such as the intensive care unit or the maternity ward, Stephanie often encounters duplicate drug orders or incorrect medications sent from the pharmacy.

Scenario 2:
General Health Hospital is implementing new outreach programs and preventive care support groups for patients with certain conditions or health risks such as diabetes, smoking, and obesity. Philip, a nurse leader, is the manager of a team of nurses who have been asked to organize these programs and groups and to identify patients who would be eligible for and interested in being involved in these opportunities. However, Philip and his team have run into a variety of challenges and problems as they attempt to complete these tasks. In identifying patients to contact about the outreach programs and support groups, Philip’s team has had to browse the hospital’s EHR system. The team has also run across significant holes in the EHR system as they try to contact patients; many patients’ contact information is inaccurate or out of date. Furthermore, Philip’s team has partnered with the hospital’s appointments desk personnel in sending reminders about meeting dates and times to patients who express interest. However, the appointments desk often either neglects to send out these reminders or sends duplicate reminders to only a few patients because the personnel do not have a way of tracking who should be contacted and when.

Scenario 3:
Robert works in the medical records office at Garden View Hospital. Because the hospital does not have a policy of providing clinical summaries to patients after each visit, Robert frequently receives calls from patients requesting copies of their health information (such as test results, vital statistics, diagnostic information, and medication lists and dosages). For every request, Robert must retrieve the patient information from the hospital’s EHR system, print out hard copies of the records, and then either mail the records or wait for the patient to retrieve them in person. Additionally, Robert’s hospital often receives lab test results for patients from certified third-party providers. These results are not automatically transferred from the provider’s EHR system to the hospital’s EHR system, so Robert often must contact the providers before responding to a patient’s request. Robert also finds that he and his colleagues in the office spend a considerable amount of time printing, mailing, and faxing immunization records to patients’ workplaces, schools, and volunteer organizations, which can be disruptive to the office’s other responsibilities.

To prepare:
  • Select one of the three scenarios provided to use for this Discussion.
  • Review this week’s Learning Resources on workflow, gap analysis, and meaningful use,      and consider how they connect to the scenario you selected.
  • Determine the most prominent workflow gap you see in the scenario. Where does the gap lie, what factors contribute to the gap, and what are the consequences of the gap?
  • Explore how this gap relates to one meaningful use objective. Refer to this week’s Learning Resources for more information on meaningful use.
  • If you were involved in the scenario, consider how you would go about conducting a gap      analysis to gather more information about the gap you identified, and determine possible strategies for addressing the gap. How would you gather data? Who would you contact, interview, and/or observe? How would you determine strategies for addressing the gap?

Discussion: Post an explanation of the most prominent workflow gap in the scenario you selected, including who is responsible for the gap and the outcomes or consequences. Explain how you would conduct a gap analysis to gather further information, and determine strategies for addressing the gap and provide the steps in the selection of the best strategy.

Assignment Description

Assignment Details

For this project, you will write a Java program that demonstrates exception handling. To facilitate this, you will need to collect input from a user, perform calculations, and send output to the screen. Exception handling will catch any input and calculation errors that may arise. For this project you will need the following variables (all integers): Three to store the input from the user, one to store the sum, and one to store the total. Remember to set their initial values to zero.

Create a new Java project. Write code to prompt the user to enter a number, then repeat this for a second number and a third. As each number is entered, store it in a variable. In each case, use an Input Mismatch Exception handler to catch when the user enters a letter instead of a number. Use the Catch block to inform the user that they should only enter numbers.

When all three numbers have been stored in variables, add the three numbers (their variables) together and store the sum in another variable.

Next, calculate a total that equals the sum of the three variables divided by the third input variable. (Put another way, divide the sum of the numbers by the third number that the user entered.) Use an Arithmetic Exception to handle situations where the third number that was entered by the user was a zero, informing the user that the program has produced a “Divide by zero error.”

Document your code thoroughly with code comments and be sure to explain how each exception works and what it is doing.

Tip: No custom classes, loops, or IF/ELSE statements are needed for this assignment.
Tip: Remember to initialize your variables!

Auditing (Accounting) practical response

Topic: You are an auditor at a prestigious CPA firm. After several years of hard work, your boss informs you that you will be in charge of this year’s audit of the firm’s most important client, Bullseye, a general merchandise retailer with hundreds of stores throughout the United States. Bullseye is a publicly traded company with its corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. It does not have any foreign operations. Local managers take care of all hiring/personnel issues but payroll is administered through corporate headquarters. Similarly, store managers order store supplies and inventory on account through approved suppliers who send the bill to corporate headquarters where it is paid and allocated to the appropriate store. Cash from sales is deposited on a daily basis into local branches of a national bank chain that handles all banking needs for Bullseye. and store managers have authority to withdraw cash to meet the daily business needs of their store. Each store has a bookkeeper on staff who records all transactions. Naturally, Bullseye relies heavily on technology to manage inventory, payroll, record keeping, and other financial issues at the store and corporate levels. They have an integrated system where information recorded at the store level is transmitted to corporate headquarters and entered into the appropriate accounts. Bullseye has been in generally good financial health for several years and there are no concerns about its ability to remain a going concern. All previous audits have only found minor problems that were the result of human error, such as transposing numbers or entering amounts into the wrong account, and these errors were easily corrected.

Your supervisor informs you that you will have a team of four other accountants, including an IT professional to assist on the audit. You will be flying to Minneapolis next month to conduct the audit at Bullseye corporate headquarters. While your boss assures you that you will have a sufficient budget to conduct a complete audit, the firm wishes to make the audit as efficient as possible. You can send your staff to stores throughout the country if needed.

Following the format for an integrated audit presented in the textbook, create a comprehensive plan, in essay form, for your audit of Bullseye, from establishing the scope of the audit through issuing the final report. Because Bullseye has been a client for several years, this is an ongoing audit, so you only need to be concerned with collecting information about the company to the extent that you can get the information you need for conducting this audit.

The plan should be 5-7 pages and should be in APA format, with a minimum of 2 outside sources used to support your plan. Be sure to include what accounts you will want to pay particular attention to, the risks that are relevant to this company and your audit, internal controls you will want to test and how you will test them, and any ethical concerns that may be anticipated.

Your assignment will automatically be submitted to Turnitin in the assignment dropbox. Originality reports will be returned to the faculty and student. Multiple submissions are allowed. Make sure that your Similarity Index does not exceed 25% for undergraduate work.

  1. Promoting international trade is not a zero-sum game. It is a win-win proposition; both parties gain from trade.

    Consider the following:

    • Tariffs are paid by the citizens of the country imposing tariffs, not by the citizens of the country producing the products upon which the tariffs are levied.
    • The term “trade deficits” is a misnomer. Every country’s trade is always in balance.
    • Trade deficits do not mean the US no longer produces anything to export. The US is the world’s second largest manufacturer and the world’s second largest exporter of manufactured goods.
    • Trade deficits reflect a strong economy. Trade deficits rise during economic expansions and fall during economic contractions. Unemployment falls as trade deficits rise and rises as trade deficits fall.
    • Imports and exports are complements, not competitors. Both are necessary and both contribute to economic growth.
    • Roughly one-third of all US imports and exports is trade between US multinational companies and their overseas subsidiaries.
    • Foreign-owned companies operating in the US number in the thousands and provide directly or indirectly jobs for more than 13 million US workers (roughly, 10% of the US workforce).
    • US trade deficit in goods in 2018 (as a % of GDP) was the same as it was 5, 10 and 15 years earlier.
    • The rise in US goods trade deficit with China has not increased the US total goods trade deficit. It has been offset by reduced goods imports from other trading partners.
    • There is a strong correlation between the rise in world trade and:
    • The rise in world GDP
    • The dramatic fall in the world’s extreme poverty rate
    • The rise in world life expectancy
    • For every US manufacturing job lost to trade between 2000 and 2010, seven US jobs were lost to domestic productivity improvements. Those seven jobs cannot be brought back from overseas because they never left the US.
    • Write a 700- to 1000 -word evaluation of credible economists’ unbiased opinions on the benefits, costs, and results of current US trade and tariff policies. Complete the following in your evaluation:
    • Evaluate how US trade policy changes in the last 2 years affect global trade activities by multinational corporations.
    • Discuss credible economists’ opinions on the long-term effects of trade and tariff policies changes in the last 2 years.
    • Explain the effect of recent changes to trade and tariff policies have had on your employer, you, or someone you know.
