Wk 4 – Devil’s Canyon, Part 1 [due Mon] Wk 4 – Devil’s Canyon, Part 1

Part B: Policies, Plans, and Risks

Now that you have seen all the elements contributing to the Devil’s Canyon enterprise architecture, Justin wants to move forward with developing privacy policies to ensure videos are not distributed or uploaded to the net without the consent of the people in them. This opens a much larger conversation: Devil’s Canyon is also in need of a complete security plan, as well as risk assessments.

In a 2- to 3-page rationale and table, prepare the following information to present to the Devil’s Canyon team:

  • Explain the relationship between policies and security plans. Identify potential policy needs, noting Justin’s privacy policy, in relation to the Devil’s Canyon enterprise structure.
  • Outline the importance of a security plan in relation to security roles and safeguards.
  • Analyze at least 5 security-related risks/threats that Devil’s Canyon may face.
  • Assess the probability and impact to the Devil’s Canyon if each risk occurs. Based on these two factors, determine the overall risk level. For purposes of this assignment, evaluate and categorize each factor as low, medium, or high, and create a table to illustrate the risks. For example, a risk/threat with a low likelihood of occurrence and a high impact would represent an overall medium risk.
  • Consider digital elements mentioned in the designing of the enterprise architecture, such as software, hardware, proposed security measures, smart lift tickets, web cam systems, and smartphones.

Interpreting HTML Markup

Unit 4 DB: Interpreting HTML Markup

Unit 4 DB: Interpreting HTML MarkupComplete the Chapter 6 reading, up to and including Exercise 6.2 (Creating “Hello, world!” in HTML). Then go to page 249, and complete the Chapter 6 Lab, where you view the markup behind two websites. After exploring the answers to the seven questions for both websites, and recognizing the components of HTML markup, in your discussion post explain your experience. Could you easily identify the page contents compared to the page code? What languages did the pages use, and were they easy to identify? Why do you think the website developers used those languages?

Chapter 6 Lab

If you want to become a programmer, you will need to study one or more languages. You have a variety of options available, including online materials, in-person classes, and study guides. While this chapter certainly didn’t teach you everything you need to know to become a programmer, you did learn some concepts and a bit about how to read and understand code. For this lab, you will look at a few different websites and see how their code was constructed.

Open the website www.youtube.com in Chrome or Edge. To view the source code in Chrome, right-click the page, and choose View Page Source. In Edge, press the F12 key to show the code. (Or, you can click the Settings And More menu—the three horizontal dots in the upper-right corner—and click F12 Developer Tools.)

Here are some questions for you:

  1. In what language is the page written?

JavaScript

  1. What organizational techniques do you see?
  2. Do you see any branching or looping logic?
  3. Does the page use functions at all?
  4. Which scripting languages are used on the home page?
  5. Find a string of text. Can you find where that string is on the web page?
  6. Can you find any instances of where a background color is set?

Lesson Evaluation

The effective nurse educator employs a variety of formative and summative techniques during curriculum implementation to monitor student learning. A well-developed lesson plan employs both formative and summative assessments. A nurse educator should plan to use data from these assessments to guide instruction.

Concept maps describe the relationships between concepts and allow for an improved understand through critical thinking and analysis. To understand the link between formative and summative assessment strategies, develop a concept map describing the flow of assessment strategies throughout your own lesson plan. Be creative in your design. A rationale should be included for your choice of assessments.

( My topic for the class is CLABSI in dialysis unit. Adult population, Renal failure patients. I am educating the dialysis staff about CLABSI)

Use the Topic Materials and your own research, to develop your concept map. Include the following criteria to create your concept map for this assignment:

  1. Description of one formative assessment strategy to be used in lesson plan with rationale.
  2. Explanation of how the data from the formative assessment will guide your instruction.
  3. Description of one summative assessment strategy to be used in the lesson plan with rationale.
  4. Explanation of how the data from the summative assessment will guide your future lesson plan revisions.
  5. Description of the instructor satisfaction survey to be administered to students.
  6. Explanation of how data from the instructor satisfaction survey will guide your teaching practice.

Cite two or three peer‐reviewed/scholarly resources no more than 5 years old in your paper.

Prepare this assessment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

The Effects of War and Peace on Foreign Aid

Assignment 1: The Effects of War and Peace on Foreign Aid  Due Week 4 and worth 200 points  Use the Internet to research one (1) developing nation of your choice. Your research should include an examination of the effects that war and peace have on the distribution of foreign aid, as well as the material covered by the Webtext and lectures in Weeks 1 through 3.  Write a three to four (3-4) page research paper in which you: 1.Assess the positive and negative effects that peace and war, respectively, have on the distribution of foreign aid in the developing country that you have selected. Support your response with concrete examples of each of the results that you have cited.. 2.Analyze the specific actions that the leadership of the selected country has taken, through the use of its foreign aid from donor nations and international lending institutions, to relieve the severe problems caused by warfare.. 3.Discuss whether or not the extension of foreign aid has successfully reduced poverty and the incidence of warfare in the selected country. Support your response with examples.. 4.Use at least five (5) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia, blogs, and other nonacademic websites do not qualify as academic resources. Approval of resources is at the instructor’s discretion. Resources must also be within the last seven (7) years.

Statistics Response to Alexis

I work on a labor and delivery unit. I recorded ten heart rates from the infants that I have assessed over the last three days at work. The heart rates were the following: 112, 128, 132, 136, 136, 140, 140, 142, 148, 158.

In terms of central tendency the mean heart rate is 137. The median heart rate is 138. This is a bimodal set because there are two numbers that appear twice in the data set, 136 and 140. The normal heart rate for an infant is 110-160. There are no outliers in this group of data. There are some things that could cause the variations in heart rate. I took the heart rates of five male infants and five female infants. Male infants typically tend to have lower heart rates than that of female infants. Another variant could be how old the infant was on the day the data was collected. “Heart rate variability changes significantly during the first day of life, particularly during the first 6 h. The significant correlations between HRV and clinical risk variables support the hypothesis that HRV is a good indicator of overall wellbeing of a baby and is sensitive to detect birth-related stress and monitor its resolution over time” (Oliveira et al., 2019).

Insights that I gained from this data were that healthy infants can have a wide variety of heart rates, and after reading this article it their heart rate baseline may change as early as six hours of life. There are many things that may affect heart rates and its variations.

Assignment 2: Policy Identification

Assignment 2: Policy Identification

According to the Council on Social Work Education, Competency 5: Engage in Policy Practice:

Social workers understand that human rights and social justice, as well as social welfare and services, are mediated by policy and its implementation at the federal, state, and local levels. Social workers understand the history and current structures of social policies and services, the role of policy in service delivery, and the role of practice in policy development. Social workers understand their role in policy development and implementation within their practice settings at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels and they actively engage in policy practice to effect change within those settings. Social workers recognize and understand the historical, social, cultural, economic, organizational, environmental, and global influences that affect social policy. They are also knowledgeable about policy formulation, analysis, implementation, and evaluation.

Walden’s MSW program expects students in their specialization year to be able to:

  • Evaluate the implication of policies and policy change in the lives of clients/constituents.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills that can be used to inform policymakers and influence policies that impact clients/constituents and services.

This assignment is intended to help students demonstrate the behavioral components of this competency in their field education.

To prepare: Working with your field instructor, identify a social problem that is common among the organization (or its clients) and research current policies at that state and federal levels that impact the social problem. Then, from a position of advocacy, identify methods to address the social problem (i.e., how you, as a social worker, and the agency advocate to change the problem). You are expected to specifically address how both you and the agency can effectively engage policy makers to make them aware of the social problem and the impact that the policies have on the agency and clients.

The Assignment (2-3 pages):

  • Identify the social problem
  • Explain rational for selecting social problem
  • Describe state and federal policies that impact the social problem
  • Identify specific methods to address the social problems
  • Explain how the agency and student can advocate to change the social problem

SOCW 6070 Week 8 Assignment: Journal: Supervising Others

Assignment: Journal: Supervising Others

Take a minute and think about the supervisors you have had in the workplace. What were characteristics of effective supervisors? As you reflect on these experiences, consider how supervision affected your ability to complete the tasks associated with your job. Also, think about how leadership styles can influence the relationship between social workers and their supervisors.

For this Assignment, review the Petrakis case study in this week’s video and note how supervisory and leadership skills are portrayed.

Assignment (300-Word Paper) cover the following topics, content, and headings.

  • Identify attributes of leadership styles and approaches that facilitate quality supervision.
  • Evaluate the supervisory and leadership skills demonstrated in the Petrakis case study by identifying      which supervisory and leadership skills the supervisor demonstrated.
  • Explain whether the supervisor in the video demonstrated quality supervision, and why. Provide      specific examples to support your evaluation.

Intro to Philosophy

NO PLAGARISM

We live in a country that is more prosperous than most other countries in this fragile planet. This is not a perfect country – far from it – but it is comparatively pretty good for most people living it: for most people living in the US, including the very poor, living somewhere else would probably be worse. So it makes sense that very many people want to move here. These are called pull factors in immigration: things that pull people towards the US. There are also push factors: things that push people away from where they are, like general violence and other kinds of social or personal problems. But of these many people looking for a better life, who should be allowed in?

In this short paper, I want you to examine your views on the ideal immigration policy in light of the potential problems of enforcing it. More exactly, I want you to do three things. (A) I want you to begin by explaining what you think the ideal immigration policy for a country should be. There is a range of options here, from total openness to immigrants to total lockdown. In between these extremes, the options need to specify who can and cannot come in, when they can and cannot come in, and how they can and cannot come in. (B) I then want you to discuss how your ideal policy should be enforced. What do you think should be done to prevent foreigners from entering the country illegally (given the policy you have articulated). (C) Finally, I want you to discuss how your ideal policy and your views on enforcement avoid the problems mentioned by Mendoza in the reading: do they create an unjustifiable sacrifice of individual liberties all around, or do they create unjustifiable burdens on certain sub-groups and make them unequally protected under the law? If you prefer, you can also explain why these problems should be accepted (instead of avoided) anyway.

Reflection and Discussion Forum Week 2

Reflection and Discussion Forum Week 2Reflect on the assigned readings for the week. Identify what you thought was the most important concept(s), method(s), term(s), and/or any other thing that you felt was worthy of your understanding.
Also, provide a graduate-level response to each of the following questions:

  1. Suppose you are purchasing a new car, and you decide to use a scoring model to decide among four options.  What would be your top three criteria and what would be each criteria’s relative weight?
  2. In your opinion, what are the three most important items in your project charter?  How did each help you plan your project better?
  3. Upon seeing the rough draft of your charter, your project sponsor asks you to move the finish date up by two months.  What do you do?

[Your initial post should be based upon the assigned reading for the week, so the textbook should be a source listed in your reference section and cited within the body of the text. Other sources are not required but feel free to use them if they aid in your discussion]. [Your initial post should be at least 450+ words and in APA format (including Times New Roman with font size 12 and double spaced). Post the actual body of your paper in the discussion thread then attach a Word version of the paper for APA review]

Leading Health Promotion for Populations

DNP scholars play a significant role in advocating for improved health outcomes for the community. One evidence-based strategy that enhances the attainment of optimal health outcomes is health education aiming to create awareness and impart knowledge on risk factors to promote a healthy population (Paterick et al., 2017). Health education targets to educate community members on healthy living to embrace a healthy lifestyle that makes them less vulnerable to diseases. While it may not be possible to prevent diseases totally, education lessens the severity of diseases by making individuals empowered to manage the diseases and health conditions.

DNP scholars should also foster a respectful and healthy working environment to enhance healthcare reforms. The evidence-based strategy focuses on the need to create an environment that promotes productivity among healthcare providers. Experts reveal gaps in the relationship between hospital management and healthcare providers, leading to a lack of job satisfaction among healthcare providers (Bokhour et al., 2018). Creating a good working environment calls for competitive salaries and benefits, organizational learning, job stability, moral satisfaction, and ethical organizational cultures. When the working environment is good for healthcare workers, they will be productive, resulting in positive patient outcomes.

Several programs are designed to improve populations’ health at local, state, and national levels. Holmes County Chronic Disease Program focuses on providing assistance and education to encourage healthy living within Holmes county in Florida. The program addresses several aspects such as physical activity, nutrition, and disease management (Smith et al., 2018). The program emphasizes the need for clean eating for a healthy lifestyle. The program has helped the community in formulating a healthy meal plan to prevent lifestyle diseases. It also facilitates the drafting of fitness plans which has been resourceful to promote the quality of life in the county.
