Nursing and the aging Family DQ week 7 Part 2 Student replay Yanett Garrido

The following post is from another student that i have to reply adding some extra information.

Short answer

APA

less than 10 % similarity.

Many older adults are prescribed psychotropic medications. What are the side effects of these medications and how do they impact the normal aging older adult?

Psychotropic medications commonly administered to manage psychiatric and behavioral systems among the elderly expose older patients to potentially harmful side effects due to their vulnerable and weak immunity. In this case, aging causes an increase in adverse reactions to drugs. Additionally, depression is a commonly experienced condition affecting almost 15% of the elderly living in a community. However, the use of prescriptions such as antidepressants endorsed during primary care is of great significance in suppressing depression. Conversely, recommendations by the National Institute of Health and Clinical excellence advocate the use of antidepressants that put into consideration the side effects caused upon patient’s health.

Nonetheless, it is of great essence as a geriatric nurse to improve your awareness and knowledge regarding prescriptions on psychotropic medications. Hence, it is imperative that nurses ought to be well conversant concerning the various medications and thus, able to recognize and respond appropriately to indications of adverse effects by patients. For instance, the perception by clinicians of better safety standards caused the use of SSRIs replacing tricyclic medications regardless of having side effects on elderly patients. However, the implementation of new guidelines through the Medicare and Medicaid services improved the use of unnecessary medications as well as tapering of medication classes that included psychotropic medications.

In conclusion, it is of great significance as a nurse to ensure that patients especially older adults in nursing homes receive optimum nursing and medical care in relations to their mental health. In this case, there is need to improve recognition of psychiatric symptoms as well as reducing dependence on psychotropic medications. Additionally, nurses could opt for alternative treatment methods such as non-pharmacological interventions.

Need done by Friday afternoon

Need the following work done by Friday afternoon. Instruction are as follow

Show your work with all steps included. This means making clear notations on assignments (write out formulas so they are visible-digging through assignments to find formulas is not acceptable). Show your work and the steps to the answer, you may be able to give partial credit. If you leave the problem blank, it is a zero for the problem. Show your work-if you just give a answer it will be marked completely wrong.

Upload an Excel, Word, or PDF file showing the answer and the supporting calculations. Clearly show your work with all steps included. If you are using mathematical formulas, write the formulas with all steps to get to the answer. If you are using a financial calculator, write out all the calculator keystrokes used. If you are using Excel, submit the file with formulas and the data entered into the formula.  Your work must be clearly visible. (Digging through your assignments to find formulas is not acceptable.) If you show your work and the steps to the answer, you may receive partial credit. If you only provide an answer with no supporting calculations, you will receive a zero for the problem.

Be sure to include your name in the file name and in the document itself.

Week 5.2 juvenile

Treatment versus Punishment: That is the Question!

When looking at the relationship between social justice and juvenile justice, there are two overarching concepts when addressing juvenile delinquency – treatment and punishment. These two concepts have driven a cycle of changes in the juvenile justice system over the years. Your task is to support your premise that your state or city should either implement a philosophy of treatment or punishment for juvenile offenders for a specific crime or criminal justice issue identified in your paper.

Explain the differences between the treatment and punishment concepts. Build the case for which one you believe has the stronger position based on your research and the crime or criminal justice issue you selected to study.

Review the juvenile crime statistics between three cities or states in three different parts of the country (e.g., Boston, Chicago, and Seattle) for a crime or criminal justice issue. Incorporate a graphic display to present your findings. Be sure to include at least three demographic items, such as gender, ethnicity, race, education, or socio-economic status, in your analysis. Ensure you standardize your data (i.e., 1:1000; 1:10,000; or 1: 100,000) and incorporate the scale in a key for each chart.

Identify the prevailing thought in the city or state: Is it treatment or punishment? Analyze the differences in the recidivism rates between the cities or states you have selected? Is recidivism the best indicator of success or failure or should we use a different indicator?

In Chapters 2 and 3 of the text, our author addresses biological, psychological and sociological theories to help explain juvenile delinquency. Evaluate which of these theories would best support your thesis.

Support which juvenile justice intervention strategy would be effective to counter the crime or criminal justice issue based on your research?

Conclude with a summary of which concept (treatment or punishment) best supports the over arching concept of social justice?

The paper must be ten to twelve pages in length and formatted according to APA style. You must use at least six scholarly resources (at least four of which must be found in the Ashford Online Library) other than the textbook to support your claims. Cite your sources within the text of your paper and on the reference page. For information regarding APA, including samples and tutorials, visit the Ashford Writing Center, located within the Learning Resources tab on the left navigation toolbar.

Select appropriate software platforms for sales management and customer relationship management

Assignment Content

  1. Competency
Select appropriate software platforms for sales management and customer relationship management (CRM).
    Student Success Criteria
View the grading rubric for this deliverable by selecting the “This item is graded with a rubric” link, which is located in the Details & Information pane.
    Scenario
You are the regional sales manager for International Herb Express (IHE) which is a large, US-based spice & herbs supplier. IHE sells to  https://paperwriters.xyz/uncategorized/select-appropriate-software-platforms-for-sales-management-and-customer-relationship-management/ other businesses that purchase bulk spices and spice blends for use in their end products. The primary customers are baking and soup mix corporations that sell to other businesses, for example, bakeries, restaurants, other food-service, and regional grocery chains. IHE is launching a new spice blend that reflects a more diverse cultural & ethnic flavor profile than IHE’s traditional offerings.
The abridged marketing strategy for this new spice blend is to target both current customers, but also to reach new customers that are target regions with higher ethnic diversity and/or the more adventurous “foodies” market. The marketing efforts will focus on taste testing, sampling, and on-site promotion. IHE is launching this marketing plan to help create a product offering that is not as commodity-driven (as most spices and herbs are the same quality no matter where they are purchased) and can potentially offer higher profit margins.
It is important to note that spices and other ingredients are raw goods and traded as commodities. The raw price for these goods changes on a day-to-day basis. Pricing is based on classic supply and demand, though nature is a key contributor to the supply–extreme weather as well as health of crops have a direct impact on the supply chain and access to the raw goods.
    Instructions
The Board of Directors has decided that the sales and marketing organization at IHE desperately needs an upgrade in managing customer relationship information. This information includes basic data on customers, but also important facts that can be useful to marketing, manufacturing, and logistics.
You have been selected to represent the sales force’s needs as part of a team of stakeholders that will meet to create a recommendation to the Board of Directors on a CRM approach. The recommendation will include the top-3 CRM companies to be considered to work with IHE.
To prepare for your role on the team, you are going to research and explore existing CRM companies to evaluate information to share https://paperwriters.xyz/uncategorized/select-appropriate-software-platforms-for-sales-management-and-customer-relationship-management/ at the first meeting. You will want to be prepared to discuss details, so you have decided to create:

    • The steps to select and implement the right CRM system
    • Including the expected timing of the various steps
    • A list of CRM system needs and wants for the sales force to be effective
    • A table that compares the 3 companies on the list of needs and wants you identified
    • A supporting document to explain the previous steps to further clarify and rationalize the choices made
    • These tasks can be prepared as either PowerPoint slides, Word, or Excel documents that would be useful to the assembled stakeholder team to discuss CRM.

Can someone do my Week 5 Assignment in Organizational Change?

Final Paper

Think of an organization you have worked for or one with which you are very familiar.  Diagnose the need for change and present a plan to transform the organization, utilizing Kotter’s 8-Step Approach. You will need to research the Kotter 8 Step Change Model extensively. You are encouraged to first review the Kotter’s Eight Step Leading Change Model (Links to an external site.) article. You may select any organization or department where you work or where you have previously worked; however, you are strongly encouraged to diagnose one problem area in the company. Attempting to diagnose an entire company is not feasible, and you will become bogged down.

If you choose a company similar to Walmart to analyze, select just one area that you think needs improvement. For example, Walmart is now very strong in online shopping, yet there are still glitches in the system. Delivery times are often late, the packaging method has problems, and some products come from unknown vendors that Walmart does not guarantee. We may know this from personal experience, but that is not enough. Statements, opinions, and experiences must be supported with valid sources. There are many articles online that you can review easily and quickly.

Your sources for this paper must include research for the company you choose, a valid source for the Kotter model, and your textbook. You are encouraged to read as many articles as you can find and contact the University of Arizona Global Campus librarians for guidance. There is bias, missing or incorrect information, and contradictory material in most Internet material. The amount of material can be confusing, but wade through it and question everything.

Include the following sections headings and additional sections as needed:

  1. Introduction
  2. Company Overview
  3. Diagnosis
  4. Kotter’s 8-Step Approach
  5. Conclusion

The Final Paper for the course must be submitted to the instructor by 11:59 p.m. of the time zone in which you reside on the last day of the class.

General
Instructions

As
doctoral students, your assignments are expected to follow the principles of
high-quality scientific standards and promote knowledge and understanding in
the field of public administration. You should apply a rigorous and critical
assessment of a body of theory and empirical research, articulating what is
known about the phenomenon and ways to advance research about the topic under
review. Research syntheses should identify significant variables, a systematic
and reproducible search strategy, and a clear framework for studies included in
the larger analysis.

Manuscripts
should not be written in first person (“I”). All material should be 12-point,
Times New Roman type, double-spaced with margins of one inch.

All
manuscripts should be clearly and concisely written, with technical material
set off. Please do not use jargon, slang, idioms, colloquialisms, or
bureaucratese. Use acronyms sparingly and spell them out the first time you use
them. Please do not construct acronyms from phrases you repeat frequently in
the text.

Structure
of Assignment Paper

1.
Use
the following structure for your research article: Abstract, Introduction,
Literature Review/Theory, Methods, Results, Discussion,
and Conclusion.
Include a robust discussion section distinct from your conclusion.

2.
Give
your article a Title that is both descriptive and inviting to
prospective readers. Your article title should appeal to both scholars and
practitioners. Use a shortened version of the main idea of your article in the
title.

3.
Your
Abstract should inform readers what your article is about and its most
important findings. Readers, including scholars and practitioners, should be
able to understand your topic, argument, and conclusions. Make your abstract
straightforward and do not use technical language or jargon.

4.
In
the Lit Review/Theory, cite only literature and theory pertinent to the
specific issue and not those that are of only tangential or general
significance. When summarizing earlier works, avoid nonessential details;
instead, emphasize pertinent findings, relevant methodological issues, and
major conclusions. Citation of relevant earlier literature is a  sign of scholarly responsibility and it is
critical for the growth of a doctoral student in public administration.

5.
Methods: The Methods section “describes in
detail how the study was conducted, including conceptual and operational definitions
of the variables used in the study. Different types of studies will rely on
different methodologies; however, a complete description of the methods used
enables the reader to evaluate the appropriateness of your methods and the
reliability and the validity of your results” (APA current edition).  Include a description of your sample size and
procedure, participants, how data collected, and research design.

6.
Results include data analysis used,
results of the analysis including tables and figures.

7.
Discussion section includes interpretations
from the analysis. How do your analyses relate to the results found by scholars
in your lit review/theory section. In this section, evaluate and interpret
their implications, especially with respect to your original hypotheses.

8.
Provide
a distinct Conclusion that tells readers what you found, why it is
important, and what difference it will make for research and practice. Ensure
you separate your discussion section from the conclusion of the article.
Synthesize your article; do not summarize it. Show readers how the pieces of
your article fit together. Answer the question “So what?” Why is your article
significant, and how is it relevant?

Action for Success – PowerPoint Presentation

During this course, we have looked at what honest, upright people do to become successful in life. They:

  • take control of their own fate
  • take personal responsibility for their actions
  • develop self-confidence
  • think critically and ask questions
  • plan to act early rather than procrastinating
  • turn to capable people when they need help or advice
  • demonstrate flexibility and interest in lifelong learning
  • practice moral and ethical behavior

While the above actions are important, they are by no means the only actions one can take to be successful.

  • Think of one additional action you can take to bring about your success, both academically and in life generally.
  • Search for a quote that highlights the value of that action and that you personally find meaningful.
  • Research some brief information about the individual who is credited with making the quote. When did they live? Are they famous? If so, what are they famous for? Note: This means that you cannot choose a quote by someone anonymous.
  • Explain in your own words what the quote means.
  • Explain why the quote is meaningful to you, e.g., by providing an example from your life experience.
  • Relate the important message the quote has for students who want to achieve academic success.

Create a PowerPoint presentation that includes all of the above.

Grading criteria for the oral presentation (2 points for each of the following):

  • I make a presentation that is about 4 minutes long.
  • I present the quote on a slide and give my colleagues a chance to read it.
  • I accurately paraphrase the meaning of the quote.
  • I explain why the quote is meaningful to me.
  • I connect the message of the quote to academic success.
  • The layout of the slides balances text and images.
  • The text uses bullet points – is in note form, not complete sentences
  • The text is grammatically correct.
  • The text uses academic vocabulary.
  • I speak in a loud, clear voice.

Total: 2 x 10 = 20 points

To help you with your presentation, if you’d like, here is an outline you can follow:

I have chosen a quote about _____________________.

This quote is by ____________________. S/he is/was a __________________ who lived _______________.

Please take a minute to read it.

This quote means ____________________.

I chose this particular quote because ________________________.

I also believe it relates to our academic success here at Cedar Crest College because ____________________.

Do you have any questions you’d like to ask me?

case The National Football League and Brain Injuries

Case Synopsis

The National Football League (NFL) was both the most popular spectator sport in the U.S. and a major economic entity, taking in roughly $10 billion a year in revenue. However through the early twenty-first century, an increased understanding of the long-term effects of head injuries on NFL players indicated a serious threat to the long-term viability of the game. Particularly concerning was the indication that some deceased professional football players had developed chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)-a neurodegenerative disease which had a strong influence on a person’s mental and physical health-most likely as a result of repetitive hits sustained during their football careers and which may have contributed to their deaths. Over 4,000 retired players had jointly sued the NFL over the head injuries they had sustained during their time in the NFL and the resulting health problems they attributed to these injuries. In part, the lawsuit alleged that the NFL had not been forthcoming with players about the health risks of head injuries. The two sides had reached a tentative $765 million settlement in 2013, the bulk of which would go to compensating retired players suffering from such diseases as Alzheimer’s or dementia. While this settlement compensated retired players, it was not applicable to current or future players. Could the NFL preserve the sport by making it safer through new rules or equipment changes, or was football an inherently physical game that no amount of new rules or equipment could make completely safe? Were current and future players, now knowing full well the potential long-term health implications of football, tacitly accepting the risks involved? As a team owner, is now the time to sell while franchise value and fan support are at their peaks, or will the business of the NFL be viable for years to come?

Question:  If you were the owner of an NFL franchise team, would you look to sell your team, or do you think the NFL will continue as a viable and profitable business?
