· Your comments regarding to this merger and acquisition (business combination.)

· Your comment to investor and creditors to help them in decision-making.

Please Note: Whatever M&A you select your coverage of analysis should continue to the present (2020) as much as the financial information is available.

I NEED FOR THIS TO BE A FIRST TIME PAPER, INCLUDING COVER AND REFERENCE PAGE

Assignment 1: Description of Research Methodology
Due Week 2 and worth 150 points

In this assignment, you will write an essay about the research methods and ethical implications of a social psychology study. You will get information about the study from one of the entries in the SPARQ “Solutions Catalog”, which is a web site maintained by Stanford University at https://sparq.stanford.edu/solutions?&&. SPARQ is an acronym for “Social Psychological Answers to Real-world Questions.” Each entry in the Solutions Catalog names a problem, and then offers a solution to that problem, based on a research study in social psychology.

To keep this assignment short and manageable, your only sources for this assignment should be from the SPARQ site and your course materials, such as your textbook. There is no need for you to cite any of the course materials. Therefore, no additional citations or references are needed, beyond those from the SPARQ site.

In this exercise, you will choose one of the entries in the SPARC site, and then write a two to three (2-3) page paper that meets the following requirements.

  1. Begin your paper with a short introductory statement that clearly identifies the article from the SPARQ site that you are using, as well as the corresponding research article.  Model your statement after the following example:

The article I selected from the SPARQ website is entitled “Boost Grades by Reframing Failures” (Wilson, n.d.), which summarizes a research article (Wilson & Linville, 1982) on the topic.

  • Please note that there are two APA “in-text citations” in this example. The first citation “(Wilson, n.d.)” is an in-text citation for the SPARQ article. The SPARQ articles are undated, which means that there is no date of publication reported. The “n.d.” designation is an abbreviation for “no date”.
  • The second citation “(Wilson & Linville, 1982)”, is an in-text citation to the original research article. We are asking you to cite this paper for practice in using APA, but are not requiring you to read the original paper. Normally, you should cite only those articles that you actually read and used, but we’re making an exception here for the purposes of practice.
  1. Briefly summarize the main details of your chosen social psychology research study. Identify the main research method(s) used in the study (e.g., case study, experiment, observation, etc.).
  2. Explain whether or not you believe the research methodology that the researchers used in the study was the most appropriate for the study. Provide a rationale for your response.
  3. Discuss whether or not you believe the research methodology used in the study is the one (1) method that provides researchers with the most information in general. Explain the main reasons why or why not.
  4. Explain the major ethical implications of the selected study (e.g., informed consent, debriefing, etc.). Describe the main reasons why you believe the study was or was not ethical. Provide a rationale for your response.
  5. The final section of your paper will be a reference section that contains a corresponding reference for both of the in-text citations in your introductory statement (see point #1, above). In APA-style citations, in-text citations must match up with a reference in the reference section. You can model your reference section after the following:

Wilson, T. D. (n.d.). Boost grades by reframing failures.  Retrieved from https://sparq.stanford.edu/solutions/boost-grades-reframing-failures
Wilson, T. D. & Linville, P.W. (1982).  Improving the academic performance of college freshmen:  attribution therapy revisited.  Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 42 (2), 367-376.

  • These examples follow the APA conventions for an Internet article, and a professional journal article, respectively.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Describe research methods that are used for studying social psychology.
  • Develop an increased understanding of the dynamic between society and individuals.
  • Use technology and information resources to research issues in social psychology.
  • Write clearly and concisely about social psychology using proper grammar and mechanics.

SRS

Normally you gather requirements through interviews and reviews with stakeholders.  From these interviews and reviews you gain an understanding of what the software needs to do.  Then you clearly, unambiguously document it in a requirements format.  It is a little hard in a classroom setting to provide stakeholders.  So in this exercise you will be provided a finished software product.  You can learn how the software works.  This will allow you to gain an understanding of what the software does.  From this you will document the requirements using Use Case Diagrams and Textural Use Cases.

The purpose of this exercise is to get you accustomed to the various Use Case Diagrams and techniques. You may pick any software that you like, as long as you can show your excellence and command using features of that software. You don’t have to document all the features of that software, but you must have one type of Use Case Diagram describing the feature.

Due to time limits you will not be able to create a full requirement document for the software.  Doing so would take years to complete.  Pick a subset of features; hopefully you can pick a subset that has something in common.  Your requirement document must have at least 8 Textual Use Cases and a Use Case diagram that includes the Use Cases.

We suggest picking feature-rich software that is also readily available to others. Examples include MS Word, MS Excel, Open Office, Google Web Search, Google Maps, GMailUberFacebookGnuCash, or a web browser.  Of course, you may pick something not on this list. In order to best prepare you for what’s coming, I suggest that you use a product with more than one user involved (underlined in the list).

You may use screenshots of the software to help me understand the feature you are describing.

There is a template attached that you may wish to use for this exercise.

Public relations plan part 2

You will submit your PR Plan implementation and strategy section this week. This is a plan to assess and evaluate each of the objectives.  These evaluations should occur throughout the course of the campaign as well as at the end of the project.  On-going evaluations throughout the campaign help to keep the project on track.  Evaluations at the end show which objectives were successful and which could be improved in the future.  There are various ways to evaluate your objectives.  Be creative, but choose evaluations that will be useful.  For example, you could propose that the organization keep a running scoreboard throughout the campaign to provide a visual reminder of what has been done and of work yet to completed.  This is only one possible suggestion – there are countless others. This should be a minimum of two page

you will write a brief statement regarding the ethical considerations of your campaign.  This will probably be short (2-3 paragraphs) and may seem rather obvious.  An ethical consideration that often arises with any public event is for the organization to take the necessary steps to provide for the safety of people participating in the event.  While it may seem like this point goes without saying, you do not want to assume that ethical considerations will merely take care of themselves.  Your campaign proposal should spell out any ethical concerns that need to be addressed, as well as your own thoughtful suggestions for dealing with the issue.

3 – Employee Motivation Infographic

 Scenario

Recently, Executive Leadership at All About Analytics realized that their talent acquisition initiatives to hire new employees from diverse cultural backgrounds are experiencing great success. The team members recognize that cultural diversity plays a significant part in influencing organizational behavior. The leadership team decided to request that the Training and Development Manager create and oversee a training initiative for front-line and mid-level managers on managing diversity effectively.

The training will focus on the different diversity elements, the challenges, and opportunities that can arise from employees with different cultural backgrounds. Leadership suggested an infographic as an informative approach to introducing the main training topics. An infographic is a visual representation of a complex concept. The visual graphic helps to explain the different elements that make up the concept and their relationship between the parts.

As the Training and Development Manager, it is necessary to develop an overview of the training curriculum on leading a culturally diverse team. To begin your training curriculum, you will design an infographic. The infographic should be a visual representation of personal factors and their influence on individuals, groups, and organizations.

Instructions

Create an infographic using canva.com that:

  • Explains general factors related to a person’s background (Family, Culture, Language, Social, Education, Experiences, Beliefs, Values, and Motivations) that influence decision-making
  • Compares motivational theories that enhance culturally diverse teams. Use 3 examples.
  • Examines types of leadership power and political factors that enhance culturally diverse teams. Use detailed examples
  • Provides attribution for credible references used in the development of content ideas following academic guidelines
  • As always, please keep in mind who your audience is and use correct grammar and spelling

https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read Chapter 4 of your textbook, including the “Cost of Living Brief Case” at the end of Chapter 4 on page 143, and access the Numbeo Cost of Living (Links to an external site.) webpage. In this assignment, you will be analyzing the cost of living in any U.S. city and creating a scatterplot to identify the relationships between variables. You may want to choose the city you live in, the city you were born in, or a city you may be interested in moving to in the future.Go to the Numbeo Cost of Living (Links to an external site.) web page. In the “Select City” search box, type in the name of your city until it appears in the drop-down menu. Select your desired city. Note: For an accessible version of cost of living data, please contact your instructor.A summary, along with cost of living index for the city you selected, will be displayed in the box at the top of the page. You will also see a breakdown of items with their associated cost. The first column is the item name, the second column is the cost of the item in your city, and the third column is the range of the cost for that item. For this assignment, you need the first data item for each category and associated cost listed in the second column. For example, for “Utilities (Monthly),” choose the value for the first item under it—i.e., “Basic (Electricity, Heating, Cooling, Water, Garbage) for 915 sq ft Apartment.” For “Rent Per Month,” choose the value for the first item under it—i.e., “Apartment (1 bedroom) in City Centre.”It is recommended that you use Excel to compile and analyze the data. Instructions for using Excel and other tools are on pages 139 to 142 of your text. However, you are welcome to use the tool of your choice.Choose the following categories from the list (in your paper, call them 1–5 as listed below) and the numeric data from the first item listed in the dataset:

  1. Utilities (Monthly)
    • Basic utilities (electricity, heating, cooling, water, garbage) for 915 square foot apartment
  2. Sports and Leisure
    • Fitness club, monthly fee for one adult
  3. Childcare
    • Preschool (or kindergarten), full-day daycare, private, monthly for one child
  4. Rent Per Month
    • Apartment (1 bedroom) in city centre
  5. Salaries and Financing
    • Average monthly net salary (After Tax)

In your Excel spreadsheet or tool of your choosing, you will have a table with five rows and two columns. The first column is numbered 1 through 5 and the second column will be the cost associated with the line item under the category for your city. In your Excel spreadsheet or other tool,

  • Draw a scattered graph of the above selected data set.
  • Display the regression line (also called trendline, linear model, and line of best fit) for the above categories in your city.
  • Display the equation for the linear model and the R2 value on the graph. In Excel, right click on the line graph to display the options, scroll down and select the boxes for display equation on chart and display R-squared on chart options.

In your paper,

  • Provide a URL of the website with your data along with your excel spreadsheet of the graph with equation and R2 value
  • Analyze your findings on the best and worst predictor among these categories on the cost of living in your city.
  • Assess the relationship between the variables, including any causation, correlation, or influences between the variables.

The Identifying Relationships Between Variables paper

weekly case analysis week 5

Each student will treat this as an individual assignment. Your response should be well-rounded and analytical and should not just provide a conclusion or an opinion without explaining the reason for the choice. For full credit, you need to use the material from the week’s lectures, text and/or discussions when responding to the questions. Post a case analysis of a listed problem for the week in the corresponding weeks assignment drop box. The case assignments are posted below in the Case Assignments.

The assignment should consist of a Word Document. It should include a summary of the relevant facts, the law, judicial opinion and answer the case questions. All that is necessary for an understanding of the case is important and required.

The report must go beyond the discussion of the problem posed in the textbook, to achieve a superior grade. Do research outside the textbook- this must include research outside the case citation such as the Lexus-Nexis in the DeVry Library or FindLaw.com, do research on the parties and circumstances of the case itself and incorporate some visual modality as a part of the case analysis. Something about one of the parties, as well as some background contained in the legal opinion. Doing significant research outside the textbook is essential.

Utilize the case format below.

Unit III Scholarly Activity

Discussion Question 1

What is some information that should be found in big data databases? Why has big-data analytics become so popular with companies like Kraft Foods, United Airlines, and Ford Motor Company? How do you think that these companies will use big data in the future? Will big data put researchers out of business? Include your rationale.

Discussion Question 2

The projective testing area of qualitative research methodologies tends to be a bit controversial within the research community. There are numerous projective tests being used by researchers today; identify and explain one of them to your fellow classmates. Within your discussion, explain what this test is attempting to demonstrate. Do you believe this test is a good research method? Why, or why not?

Unit III Scholarly Activity

research how qualitative research is used in your field. Using this information, write an essay that describes how qualitative research tools can be used to aid in decision making within your field. Be sure your essay addresses the following questions/topics:

1.  Describe specific qualitative methods and tools that could be used within your discipline to gather data. Include your rationale.

2.  Evaluate their effectiveness with respect to certain areas within your discipline.

3.  Include company or organizational examples within your essay, as relevant.

4.  In your opinion, what is the future of qualitative research both within your discipline and in general?

Your APA-formatted response must be a minimum of three pages (not including the title page and the reference page) and must include an introduction, a thesis statement (concise summary of the main point of the paper), and a clear discussion of the questions/topics above. Your response must include a minimum of two credible references. All sources used must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.
