A disaster can be defined as unexpected disruptions that are serious and occur over short or long period of time thus causing a lot of humans, economic and material losses (Song, 2017).

Running head: DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN

DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN 10

A disaster can be defined as unexpected disruptions that are serious and occur over short or long period of time thus causing a lot of humans, economic and material losses (Song, 2017). In the information technology sector, disaster is defined as sudden attacks in a computer system or network that leads to loss of data, information or even damages the system components or network (Mohamed, 2014). Disaster has become one of the biggest concerns in most of the companies and organizations as well. This is because; there are different kinds of disasters such as hybrid and natural disasters. For this reason, many companies have developed disaster recovery plans. These plans are therefore very useful in helping the companies to regain access and functionality to the company’s information technology infrastructure even after disaster events such as cyber-attack (Wicker, 2020).

Disaster recovery plan ensures that a company responds to any disaster or even an emergency that causes information system disruptions. The main objective of disaster recovery plan is minimizing effects on different company operations (Zhang, 2017). Companies have developed different types of disaster recovery plans depending on the information technology infrastructure which is mostly exposed to unplanned interruption. This paper will focus its discussion on a complete disaster recovery plan that will be submitted to the executive board of our company.

EOP-3 and EOP-4Project Descriptions

EOP-3 and EOP-4 task you to examine the path (trajectory) that has resulted in the current state of a consumer or industrial product. You are asked to tell the story of how this product came to exist in its current form.

Selected Product: Bidet

1. Synthesize a large amount of information to create a compelling narrative

2. Relate your product to the user needs they satisfy, starting with the fundamental human need and progressing to modern needs. To do so, you need to address:

· Dimensions of Value: what the dimensions of value are/were, how the dimensions changed, how the ability of the product to satisfy those dimensions changed.

3. Apply concepts from class to illustrate the what, why, how, when, and in what context these changes took place. For example:

· Type of innovation (radical/incremental, process/product, component/architecture, competence-enhancing/competence-destroying)

· Sources of innovation: the people and organizations and how their collaborations and competitions influenced the development

· Externalitites: changes due to complementary goods and services, installed base; the availability of enabling technologies

· Dominant Design: emergence of standards, a dominant product architecture, or a clear winner in a competition

· Context Factors: Social, economic, political, or other factors that affected the trajectory

You don’t need to address all of these for every inflection point – but you should discuss the nature of the change and the factors driving it.

The goal of your Signature Assignment is to show that you can compute properties of solutions and analyze and interpret data. You will create a PowerPoint presentation that shows the process of going through an acid/base titration like you would if you were in a physical lab.

The goal of your Signature Assignment is to show that you can compute properties of solutions and analyze and interpret data. You will create a PowerPoint presentation that shows the process of going through an acid/base titration like you would if you were in a physical lab.

Your lab assignment presentation involves putting together a PowerPoint presentation to show other students on how to perform titration. In other words, your presentation can be used to show other students (next term) how they can perform a titration by following your instructions and calculations.

To do this presentation (minimum 6 slides, in PPT), we are giving you the type of acid, acetic acid, the type of base, NaOH to be used, and you will use phenolphthalein as the indicator. You will create a mock titration experiment and use your own hypothetical data (volume of vinegar, Molarity of NaOH and volume of NaOH for three trials) to solve the titration calculations (consult me, if you are in doubt). At the end of your presentation, you will show the unknown concentration of the acetic acid (Molarity) and will also show the % mass/vol of the Vinegar solution (as you have done for Week 7 Lab Manual Assignment).

• Your presentation must consist of more than merely a series of bullet points to earn full credit

• Remember, you want to teach your peers how to do titration experiment and the calculations. Your experiment should be reproduced it with ease.

• Use the Notes section for each slide to fully explain your answers, if necessary.

• TurnItIn will be used, so paraphrase where necessary to avoid plagiarizing.

• Grading: See rubric for specific grading criteria (in My Grades). You will be graded based on the rubric; therefore, carefully read it before you start creating your assignment. Remember it is 100 points, so your work must show quality and effort.

To include in your PPT presentation:

Part 1

• Title page

• Purpose of a titration, what is titration and why do we perform a titration?

• Include your thoughts on why understanding acid/base titration is important to your future career, and how you will use this concept as you complete your degree (at least 5 sentences and examples).

• Instrumentation – what are the instruments, glassware used when performing a titration.

• Chemicals and Procedures. What chemicals are needed? List and explain the procedures for this experiment (refer to Lab Manual pages 227-230)

◦ Your base concentration must have 3 decimals and your acid volume must have at least 1 decimal. Buret readings will give you two decimals.

• Observations and expectations – List the observations and write your expectations. This might include color change and when the equivalence point (endpoint) might be reached.

Part 2

• Calculations and Results. Show all your step-by-step calculations and write your results, the Molarity of the acetic and the % of the acetic acid.

◦ HINT: use Part A on page 233 as a template

◦ Remember sig figs in calculations to properly express your final answers (molarity and % mass):

▪ addition/subtraction -> fewest decimals

▪ multiplication/division -> fewest sig figs

• Reference page (in proper APA format)

For help and videos:

• Your instructor will provide guidance and examples for completing calculations for titration.

▪ Helpful links to study from week 7

This assignment should be in current APA Style with both a title slide and a reference list that includes all of the sources used. At least two scholarly sources should be used (your textbook can be one of the sources). For proper referencing of your resources consult Library on Canvas, APA 7th Edition Guide.

Helpful materials and HINTS:

• Your chosen concentration of the base must have three decimals (e.g 0.100 M or 0.150 M or 0.200M, etc). Hint: sig figs for your future calculations

• Use graphics, diagrams, charts, tables and other visuals to illustrate your point and to make it more interactive.

A. Describe the issue and scope of the problem. In approximately 4-5 slides, give data about the issue. You can include pictures in your slides and a link to a video that you find.

Healthcare Informatics Research and Innovation

Introduction

Health care technologies constitute all medicines, devices, systems, and procedures that are made to streamline healthcare operations, lower the costs incurred and also enhance the quality of care given to individuals. Chatbots, Artificial Intelligence, blockchains, and virtual realities are among the most promising health care technologies in 2021(“9 health technologies every executive should be excited about in 2021,” 2021). For a long time, most health care executives have been unsatisfied with the lack of adequate technological methods and marketing strategies for true marketing personalization. Digital transformations of healthcare ecosystems have both been explosive and rapid. The IoT and web-based driven ecosystems promise a future for the universally reachable and intelligent healthcare, patients privacy, nurses, doctors, and healthcare providers is of more concern recently than in the past(Iyengar et al., 2018). As such, there is the need to protect the patients’ privacy while linking their medical records is also crucial in ensuring proper healthcare.

Currently Emerging Healthcare Technology Systems

The currently emerging technologies in the health care sector include; Artificial Intelligence, Blockchains, and chatbots (“9 health technologies every executive should be excited about in 2021,” 2021). All these information technologies are relevant since they aid enhance the patients’ safety by decreasing medication errors, decreasing adverse drug reactions, and also enhancing compliance to various practice guidelines. As such, health information technologies are vital for improving healthcare safety and quality.

Utilizing Artificial Intelligence in the health sector is expected to increase to a yearly rate of about 40% through 2021 to about $6.6 billion from close to $600 million in 2014(“9 health technologies every executive should be excited about in 2021,” 2021). The artificial intelligence engines are capable of mitigating risks of preventable medical scenarios in various ways which include automating reminders that are relevant in helping patients take their medication within a specific time frame.

Chatbots in the health care sector has a variety of benefits which include offering customer service to patients. Blockchain is also relevant in the sector since it positively impacts the digital marketing of the sector through changing the data collection strategies, fixing advertisements via digital plays, and ensuring the security of various digital assets. The ledger technology ensures the safe transfer of patients’ information, manages the effective medicine supply within the health care sector, and also helps various health care researchers to unlock the genetic code.

1. The aim of our project is to analyze the Breast Cancer Wisconsin (Original) dataset to classify the data by using various classification models and compare the misclassification rate between these models.

a. We are planning to use classification models like Decision tree, Bagging, Random Forest, Naïve Bayes classifier, Support Vector machine and compare the results for better accuracy.

b. We have chosen Breast Cancer Wisconsin (Original) dataset obtained from UCI Machine learning repository for analysis.

c. This is a secondhand dataset available at https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Breast+Cancer+Wisconsin+%28Diagnostic%29 .

2. Number of attributes in the Breast Cancer Wisconsin (Original) dataset are: 32 (ID, diagnosis, 30 real-valued input features). Attribute information:

a. ID number,

b. Diagnosis (M = malignant, B = benign) – Predicting Variable

c. Ten real-valued features are computed for each cell nucleus – radius (mean of distances from center to points on the perimeter), texture (standard deviation of gray-scale values), perimeter, area, smoothness (local variation in radius lengths), compactness (perimeter^2 / area – 1.0), concavity (severity of concave portions of the contour), concave points (number of concave portions of the contour), symmetry, fractal dimension (“coastline approximation”)

d. Class distribution: 357 benign, 212 malignant

3. Here, Diagnosis is the field that we are predicting which takes two values B = benign and M = malignant.

a. Benign – Benign tumors may grow larger but do not spread to other parts of the body. Also called nonmalignant.

b. Malignant – Malignant tumors are cancerous

4. Breast cancer is the most prevalent diagnosed cancer for women in the U.S. following skin cancer. In both men and women, breast cancer occurs, but in women it is much more common. There has been a rise in breast cancer survival rates and a steady decline in the mortality connected with this disease, primarily because of variables such as prior detection, a more individualized treatment approach and a greater sense of the disease.

There is no Word document.  The report is in the form of a PowerPoint Presentation.

  1. There is no Word document.  The report is in the form of a PowerPoint Presentation.
  2. Not just screenshots.  Because the report is a PowerPoint Presentation you may be tempted to just insert a bunch of screenshots.  I do want screenshots of models, results, etc. but they should be annotated so I have some sense of why they are there and what I am supposed to take from the slide.
  3. Keep it tight.  Fully explaining your final project in the form of a PowerPoint (without the benefit of being able to verbally explain during a presentation) should be hard.  You need to balance telling a good (and complete) story against generating excessive numbers of slides.  If you were presenting I would be looking for about 15 minutes of content.  Given that timeline, I would expect approximately 20 slides… this is a guideline and not an absolute, but please try and tell a complete and concise story.
  4. Tell a coherent story.  The story is important… I want to know what you did and why.  I want to know what models you ran and which was the best performer.  I also want to know what that model says and why that is important to the organization.
