Down

Last week, you chose a mock business or organization to focus your work on throughout the course. You also created a Reader Analysis Chart which helped you to identify the needs, values, and attitudes of potential stakeholders in your project. Every business or organization offers a product or service. This week, you are tasked with introducing your business or organization and the product(s) or service(s) it offers. To do this, you will need to craft two separate Letters of Introduction, one to a reader who will be in direct contact with your business or organization (primary readers), and another to the members of a local community organization (secondary readers). In each letter, include a brief technical description of the product or service your business or organization provides, define the targeted users of this product or service, and demonstrate how this product or service might benefit the reader (letter one) and the community (letter two). For the sake of this assignment, you should use the Letter Format in our textbook. Additionally, each of your two Letters of Introduction should be 250-500 words in length (total 500-1000 words), and should directly target the group for which it is intended based on the details from your Reader Analysis Report from week one,   HERE IS A EXAMPLE…….       July 16, 2016       Crush Turtleston III   123456 East Seashore Dr.   Great Barrier Reef, Australia 54678-8979       Dear Mr. Turtleston,       Allow us the opportunity to introduce you to our company, InsolubleWorks. ANT:101 Week 5 Discussion

Feminization of Poverty or Consumption and Globalization We anticipate that this assignment will take you 2 hours to complete (this may vary by student). This includes time for research, reading of outside materials, critical thinking, writing, revision of text, and reflection on the topic. You should expect the assignment to be graded and returned with feedback from your instructor no later than Thursday at 11:59PM following the due date.   Choose either Option A or Option B. Formulate an initial post in which you address the points noted in the prompt for your chosen option.   Option A: Feminization of Poverty   Crapo (2013, section 9.4) uses the term the feminization of poverty. What do you think the author means by that term? Why would women be more vulnerable to living in poverty? What cultural factors might contribute to that?   Option B: Consumption and Globalization   Chapter 10 provides an overview on the anthropological perspective on globalization. After viewing the film, Guatemala: The Human Price of Coffee, discuss the impacts of globalization on the coffee farmers in Guatemala. How does buying a cup of coffee affect coffee farmers in Guatemala? How does this relate to globalization? Would what you saw in the video, and what you read in the book, change your consumption patterns?   Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from the required materials and/or other scholarly sources. Cite your sources in the body of your post and provide a complete reference for each source used at the end of it. By Day 7, respond to at least two of your peers, including one who responded to the option you did not choose. Demonstrate your understanding of the topic by respectfully asking questions, raising new points for consideration, or requesting clarification from your fellow students.

Discussion Questions

Kant states that the only thing good without qualification is a “good will.” (and by that he means, a will guided by the categorical imperative. See this week’s guidance for a bit more detail.) On this basis, he holds that we can do the “right action” but not out of a good will, and that only actions done from a good will are morally praiseworthy. Do you agree with Kant?  Provide an example (real or made up) of someone doing a good thing but out of a motive other than that of a good will, and give reasons for why you think Kant is right, or why you think Kant is wrong that this action lacks moral value.  Discuss the importance of the will and how one can attempt to create a good will. If you do not think a good will is important discuss your reasons for believing that the will is not important in ethical action. Everything in red, underlined and highlighted is what needs to be answered for this dicussion. I do not need a title page. References I do need     (SEE ATTACHED FILE KENT)

Motivation

Write a paper on encouraging motivation through curriculum of a 7th grade classroom. Paper must be apa and at least 4 pages. Include a short powerpoint slide presentation to go along with it. Must include references. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE!!!!!

Likewise, if you’re discussing part-time job experiences, you could describe a specific event or experience you had in a part-time position that shaped your view of work life. 3.) Finally, do you think these two informational sources had a positive, negative, or neutral impact on your work experiences and how you view organizations and employment?   An important aspect of multiple intelligence in class is when the kids are allowed to interact with each other in class through classroom activities. In such instances, different engagements help the kids become free to express their strengths and this helps teachers identify each student’s intelligence characteristics. However, it also helps identify the problems each individual student has and which criterion is affecting them. The interactions build their experiences and they get to discover their abilities on their own.   There are several criteria that characterize individual’s intelligence and they include naturalistic, visual, logical, musical, verbal, intrapersonal, interpersonal and bodily criteria. As stated above, these abilities blend differently in individuals, giving rise to different abilities. In a classroom set up teachers should try and involve the kids in activities bearing some or all of these criteria and assess how the children would respond to them. This would be a way of understanding the children better and assessing their capabilities.
