Paragraph A:

In Nuñez’s conclusion, she says that working at Mcdonalds has taught her many things, stating, “The most important thing I’ve learned is that you have to start from the bottom and work your way up.” Earlier in her passage, she talks about how each employee must learn to work every station, from the frier to the grill, and work your way up to register. Every employee after a six month marking period must have a good review to receive a raise and sometimes even a promotion. This supporting Nuñez’s conclusion on how hard work and dedication will help you achieve higher roles in life.

Paragraph B:

It was on the day of my 16th birthday that I decided to go get a job. I just moved from Florida to North Carolina and their age requirements were two years more than the age you were allowed to work in Florida, that meaning I had to wait even longer to get a real job. Now the day was finally here, I lived in a smaller town than I was used too, so I applied everywhere that was close by. A pizza hut just had opened up on the main street where most of the fast-food or small restaurants were. Even though I was nervous I walked into pizza hut, asked to speak with the manager, and spoke with the most confidence. I was hired on the spot and there began my new chapter in life in the work field. I learned a lot being a waitress, a lot of those skills I use in everyday life. How to handle and adequately deal with people’s orders and money, to be quick on my feet, and to accommodate every customer’s needs. At least to say my social skills have improved tremendously from being a server in the food industry.

Disc 2

Theories help frame more than presenting problems—they also frame social problems, and both types of problems can be linked in relation to client issues. For example, many scholars and social workers have attempted to understand the social problem of poverty. Turner and Lehning (2007) classified various psychological theories to explain poverty under two headings: (1) individual-related theories or (2) structural/cultural-related theories. In other words, think of these two headings as lenses in viewing poverty. In this Discussion, you apply lenses through which to understand a client’s problem in relation to social problems.

To prepare:

  • Read this article listed in the Learning Resources: Turner, K., & Lehning, A. J. (2007). Psychological theories of poverty. Journal of Human Behavior in the Social Environment, 16(1/2), 57–72. doi:10.1300/J137v16n01-05
  • Select a theory under the individual-related theories and a theory under the structural/cultural-related theories.
  • Complete the handout “Comparing Individual-Related and Structural/Cultural-Related Theories” to help you craft your response. (Note: You do not need to upload the handout to the Discussion forum. The handout is intended to assist you in writing your Discussion post.)

Post:

  • Describe how a social worker would conceptualize a presenting problem of poverty from the two theories you selected.
  • Explain how this conceptualization differs from an individual-related versus a structural/cultural-related theoretical lens.
  • Compare how the two theoretical lenses differ in terms of how the social worker would approach the client and the problem and how the social worker would intervene.

Support role and responsibilities

I‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ was filmed teaching a class of 5/6 year olds in school my lecturer has watched the video – I can send you this, its very boring! I will send the lesson plan. I now need to explain WHY I taught this lesson (based on the UK national curriculum) and then explain in my reflection what went well and what could have been better. Rationale for the Activity • What is the reason for your activity? Make links to the national curriculum (2014) explaining how you propose to meet the children’s holistic needs (LO2)

• How does your practice relate to theory studied in the module? • What will your role and responsibility be during the activity? (LO1 – Link to HLTA standards) In the rational need to explain that This lesson was done in the middle of Covid lockdown with 15 children (normally 30 in a class) age groups year one and two, from three different classes. They were not with their normal pears, teacher or in their normal classroom. They were not using the normal RE books & I didn’t have a set of lolly sticks for the specific children nor did they have the normal class talk partners.

Due to Covid I didn’t have my normal planning time so I wasn’t fully prepared for the lesson in terms of having time to look over the plans before delivering. https://homeworkharbour.info/papers On reflection this lesson would’ve been much better had I have looked at it before teaching. During the lesson I linked the advent candle to our school values please add this. School values and a strong ethos should underpin all that we do as HLTAS.

School values can help pupils understand right from wrong and they can also help to shape the mindsets and behaviour of future adults (please find a reference to back this up) I used props for the children to give the children a visual to try and imagine what 85 meters would really be like. And also went up in small numbers to large numbers to try to visualise what the lights would be like. ‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ Positives to the observation all children were involved I chose different children at different times to answer questions. https://homeworkbay.info/content/

Due to the lessons I talked beforehand the children had good prior knowledge of advent and what the lesson was going to be about. Use skinner as a theorist to link operational conditioning with my lesson – promoting positive behaviour by praising the children when they got the answer correct. Information for your reflective evaluation: • Your typed reflective evaluation will be completed after the activity and submitted with both parts • Please include references, following the Harvard Referencing conventions Resources to Support Planning:

• Please use Development Matters, & national curriculum (2014) to support you in planning your activity – reference this • Make links to the HLTA standards Please use shons reflective model for my reflection – what went well? What could I have improve? Reflective Evaluation: Questions to consider: • Was the intended learning achieved? Was any other learning identified? Make links to the EYFS and the national curriculum and how practitioners can meet children’s holistic needs (LO2)

• What support role and responsibilities did you or any other adult have? Discuss this (LO1) • How were the HLTA standards met? (LO3) Not all standards need to be met, however identification of specific standards in each section is encouraged. • professional attributes (standards 1–7) – these set out the attitudes, values and commitment expected of HLTAs • professional knowledge and understanding (standards 8–16) – these set out the knowledge and skills needed by HLTAs to be able to work effectively with colleagues as part of the professional team supporting learning, and • professional skills (standards 17–33) – these set out the expectations for planning, monitoring, managing and evaluat‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ing learning within the framework of guidance

CASE STUDY – SECURITY

  1. Case Study – Security
    Scenario
A large fast-food chain unveiled a new touch screen register for its franchises. Each cashier was assigned a user ID and password combination to log in to the register. The system allowed the incorrect password to be entered four times before the register would lock and require a manager to unlock it with a key card. To prevent unauthorized access, the registers would lock after three minutes if the screen was not touched. When the register locked, only the cashier who was logged in prior to it locking could unlock it without a system restart.
After a few days in operation, restaurant managers started complaining about the amount of time they were spending unlocking the registers. Some cashiers were forgetting their user ID and password, so other cashiers would log in for them. It also seemed that the button layout made it easy for the cashiers to key in the incorrect password. The managers also complained that cashiers would leave for a break or end their shift and forget to log out of the locked register. The managers would have to reboot the system, a three- to five-minute process in order for the next cashier to log in. Additionally, managers noticed that grease was building up on the touch screens, making them less responsive.
    Instructions
Write a five- to eight-page paper in which you:

    1. Analyze the new system and determine the design issues with this new system.
    2. Describe how you would correct the design issues with the system to make the restaurant managers happy.
    3. Create a design plan that:
      • Lists and explains the tasks associated with improving this interface.
      • Contains at least six tasks.
      • Includes realistic time estimates for each task to be completed.
      • Analyzes the development of the system in your plan.
      • Analyzes the testing of the system in your plan.
      • Analyzes the implementation of the system in your plan.
    4. Examine how this system balanced security and usability, and explain the challenges of incorporating system security and system usability into a design.
    5. Suggest changes that could be made to the security of this system to still meet security objectives but make the system more usable.
    6. Use Microsoft Visio or an open source alternative, Dia, to create a graphical representation of your proposed interface. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.
    7. Use at least three quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Cultural and Competence Training Excercise

In the textbook on page 212 you will find the “Review Questions and Activities.” #2 has you “Imagine that you are setting up a cultural competence training…”

Pg 212: #2- Image that you are setting up cultural competence training for doctors and nurses that would include knowledge and skill training, developmental training, integrated training, community-based training, and didactic training. How would you plan the overall training agenda? What sort of elements would you include? Leave out?

After reading Chapter 6 in the textbook and the two articles assigned for reading, one of which outlines standards and methods while the other gives an example of a training curriculum, write a general training agenda which includes:

See two articles uploaded below:

1. Assessment (from last week’s readings) tests and/or exercises, as you learned last week

2. Important knowledge that cultural competence requires and each item here must be described and supported from the readings

3. Important skills that are required and each item here also must be described and supported from the readings

4. An example of how this training would be done (lean heavily on the “Four-Year Model…”)

Write your agenda in OUTLINE FORM. The four items above will be your main headings following a 1 paragraph introduction.

Project Deliverable 3: Database and Data Warehousing Design

This assignment consists of two (2) sections: a design document and a revised project plan. You must submit both sections as separate files for the completion of this assignment. Label each file name according to the section of the assignment it is written for. Additionally, you may create and / or assume all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.

One of the main functions of any business is to be able to use data to leverage a strategic competitive advantage. This feat hinges upon a company’s ability to transform data into quality information. The use of relational databases is a necessity for contemporary organizations; however, data warehousing has become a strategic priority due to the enormous amounts of data that must be analyzed along with the varying sources from which data comes. Since you are now the CIO of a data-collection company which gathers data by using Web analytics and operational systems, you must design a solution overview that incorporates data warehousing. The executive team needs to be clear about what data warehousing can provide the company.

Section 1: Design Document

  1. Write a four  (4) page design document in which you:
    • Support the need for data warehousing within your company and elaborate on the best practices that the company will adhere to.
    • Create a schema that supports the company’s business and processes. Explain and support the database schema with relevant arguments that support the rationale for the structure. Note: The minimum requirement for the schema should entail the tables, fields, relationships, views, and indexes.
    • Create an Entity-Relationship (E-R) Diagram relating the tables of your database schema through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Visio or an open source alternative such as Dia. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length but must be included in the design document appendix. Explain your rationale behind the design of your E-R Diagram.
    • Create a Data Flow Diagram (DFD) relating the tables of your database schema through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Visio or an open source alternative such as Dia. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length but must be included in the design document appendix.
    • Illustrate the flow of data including both inputs and outputs for the use of a data warehouse. The diagram must map data between source systems, data warehouses and specified data marts. The diagram should map data between source systems, data warehouses, and specified data marts. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
  • Include charts or diagrams created in MS Visio or Dia as an appendix of the design document. All references to these diagrams must be included in the body of the design document.

Module 4 520 SLP- HEALTHCARE POLICY BENEFITING THE COMMUNITY AND THOSE IN NEED

Community Benefit Spending is a requirement of 501(c)3, aka nonprofit, hospitals in order to maintain their nonprofit tax-exempt status. While the regulation for Community Benefit Spending comes from federal law via the Affordable Care Act, states have an interest in the well-being of their citizens and thus in ensuring that health care organizations are filling their requirements. After reviewing the background materials, draft a paper that addresses the following:

  • What are the expectations of hospitals regarding Community Benefit Spending as established by policy?
  • What efforts have been taken by states to ensure that hospitals are adhering to these expectations?
  • Find your state on the Community Benefit Insight website. Provide a detailed overview of the data provided on your state’s performance from 2010-2016.
