Accounting II#8

Read carefully and answer fully.  There is a five page paper requirement listed below of how it should be broken down

Financial Analysis

For this assignment, you will apply what you have learned thus far from the unit lessons and required unit resources.

You will conduct a financial analysis of the Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo. Write a five-page paper that evaluates each firm, and provide your findings and recommendation for investment or employment.

Your paper should consist of the components listed below.

  • Provide a company overview for both companies, which should be one page in length.
  • Include a comparison of three accounting methods (i.e., receivables, depreciation, and inventory valuation), which should be one page in length (formatted either as a table or an outline).
  • Provide four ratio calculations (i.e., one ratio each for liquidity, solvency, profitability, and market) as well as an analysis, which should be two pages in length.
  • Include your recommendations and conclusions, which should be one page in length.

You are encouraged to utilize the resources below to support your findings.

PepsiCo. (2019). 2018 PepsiCo annual report. https://www.pepsico.com/docs/album/annual-reports/2018-annual-report.pdf?sfvrsn=35d1d2bc_2

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. (2019). Form 10-K: The Coca-ColaCompany (Commission File No. 001-02217). https://www.coca-colacompany.com/content/dam/journey/us/en/policies/pdf/shareowner-services/2018-annual-report-on-form-10-K.pdf

You may submit an appendix with any research you conducted—beyond the companies’ most recent 10-Ks—to support your analyses and recommendations. Your paper should include appropriate reference citations.

Write your responses in a Word document, and include at least two resources to support your findings. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.

Project Part 4: Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

Project Part 4: Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

Senior management at Health Network has decided they want a business impact analysis (BIA) that examines the company’s data center and a business continuity plan (BCP). Because of the importance of risk management to the organization, management has allocated all funds for both efforts. Your team has their full support, as well as permission to contact any of them directly for participation or inclusion in the BIA or BCP. Winter storms on the East Coast have affected the ability of Health Network employees to reach the Arlington offices in a safe and timely manner. However, no BCP plan currently exists to address corporate operations. The Arlington office is the primary location for business units, such as Finance, Legal, and Customer Support. Some of the corporate systems, such as the payroll and accounting applications, are located only in the corporate offices. Each corporate location is able to access the other two, and remote virtual private network (VPN) exist between each production data center and the corporate locations. The corporate systems are not currently being backed up and should be addressed in the new plan. The BCP should also include some details regarding how the BCP will be tested. For this part of the project:

  1. Research BIAs and BCPs.
  2. Develop a draft BIA plan for the Health Network that focuses on the data center. The BIA should identify:
    1. Critical business functions
    2. Critical resources
    3. Maximum acceptable outage (MAO) and impact
    4. Recovery point objective (RPO) and recovery time objective (RTO)
  3. Develop a draft BCP that could recover business operations while efforts are ongoing to restart pervious operations. You may use or repurpose a BCP template you find online. Include a description of how you would test the plan.

Submission Requirements

  • Format: Microsoft Word (or compatible)
  • Font: Arial, size 12, double-space
  • Citation style: Your school’s preferred style guide

Unit II PowerPoint

You are responsible for training new managers on key employment policies and practices. For this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that includes information on the following topics:

  • protected classes under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and how the Act applies to staffing decisions;
  • employer conduct that violates anti-discrimination laws;
  • the importance of the Civil Rights Act in eliminating racial discrimination in the workplace;
  • the role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in workplace discrimination regulations; and
  • documentation needed to defend retaliation claims.

You must use at least three sources, one of which may be your textbook. Consider the value of using actual case decisions to exemplify the regulation for your managers. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.Your presentation should be eight to 10 slides, not including the title and reference slides. You are encouraged to use the slide notes function to explain slide contents as necessary or to add additional talking points you would want to discuss in your training. The CSU Writing Center’s tutorial,  PowerPoint Basics , is an excellent resource for PowerPoint best practices and formatting assistance. A transcript for the presentation can be accessed by clicking on the paperclip icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the presentation.

  2. If Bad Boys, Inc. raises capital using 30% debt, 5% preferred stock, and 65% common stock, what is Bad Boys, Inc.’s cost of capital?

Please view the attachment carefully and write a 4-5 pages paper about the case

DUE in 24 hours

Below are three attachments.  Part 1 & Part 2 are needed to complete Part 3 which is what I need help with.

It asks for the following:

Using the information gathered from the original case study, and the new information provided, write a 4 – 5 page paper using the following structure:

  • Report / Executive Summary – Summarize the finding of the impact of the change briefly (1 or 2 paragraphs); this should include the finding of your report, as well as, your recommendations to your sponsor regarding the implementation of the change. It should be concise and direct.
  • Current Status of Project — In this section, you want to provide details regarding the current status. Which indicators from the case study are you leveraging to describe the current status?
  • Identify any leading vs. the lagging indicators in your analysis.
  • Provide an overview of the change process you will follow to incorporate the change including the approval process.  Will there be a change control board?  Will the PM review prior to submission for approval?  Does the sponsor need to approve your change request form?  Consider including a flow chart and a summary explaining the flow chart.
  • Recommendations – Based on your analysis of the change, tell us what areas of the project are of concern. Is cost or time concern in these areas? Does the scope need to be considered? What are some possible solutions for cost and schedule-related impacts of the change that might be applicable?
  • Please insert a draft change request form in your submitted assignment completed with the relevant information that your sponsor will need to approve the change.

Here are some general guidelines for formatting:

  • Use section headers so that it is clear what the sections of the report are
  • Make good use of tables and/or charts to report the data
  • Be concrete; reference the case study and specifics regarding performance
  • Include page numbers

One of the best uses of the time value of money concept is using it to make a retirement plan!  Think about your life as 2 timelines… the “working years” timeline and the “retirement years” timeline.  What you do, how you plan, and how you save during your working years will ultimately determine how you live during your retirement years.  In this discussion post, share the following:

  • How many years do you plan to live in retirement and what do you anticipate your annual income needs to be during those years?
  • What is the present value of the retirement income needs? (this is how much you will need in retirement savings on the day you retire in order to meet your goals).
  • How much must you save each year (or each month) during your working years to meet this goal?  (Compute the required payment to achieve a future value equal to the amount you need to have on the day you retire, which was computed above).
  • Is your goal realistic?

You do not need to share the details of your computations (but you may if you wish).  However, you should discuss whether or not your goal is realistic and what other factors you believe should be considered when creating a retirement plan.

2.3 Scholarly Asbstract Assignment #2

***DO NOT USE A MIXED METHODS STUDY FOR THIS ASSIGMENT!***

***YOU MUST PROVIDE IN TEXT CITATIONS WHEN PARAPHRASING***

Just like you did in assignment 2.1, you will create a 1-2 page single-spaced Analysis of Research abstract published scholarly articles related to a topic you selected in 2.2. However, this time you need to review a different methodology than you previously did (i.e. if you reviewed a quantitative article in 2.1, you will do a qualitative one in 2.2 and vice versa).

Brevity and being concise are important as this analysis is intended to be a brief summation of the research.

Each abstract must therefore consist of the following in this order:

1. Bibliographic Citation – use the correctly formatted APA style citation for the work as the title of your abstract, displaying the full citation in bold font.

2. Author Qualifications – name and qualification of each author conducting the research

3. Research Concern – one paragraph summary of the reason for the overall research topic

4. Research Purpose Statement AND Research Questions or Hypotheses – specific focus of the research

5. Precedent Literature – key literature used in proposing the needed research (not the full bibliography or reference list)

6. Research Methodology – description of the population, sample, and data gathering techniques used in the research

7. Instrumentation – description of the tools used to gather data (surveys, tests, interviews, etc.)

8. Findings – summation of what the research discovered and the types of analysis that were used to describe the findings (tables, figures, and statistical measures)

engl reading response 2 dawn of the dead

  • This reading response is for George Romero’s film, Dawn of the Living Dead. While it is a film and not a “reading,” you still have the opportunity to analyze it. Rather than picking a quote from written material, you should pick a quote from the spoken communication in the film. Remember, it’s still crucial that you quote directly. That’s always the same.
  • Each reading response entry should begin with a quotation from the required reading. It should be a quote of a passage that you have a question about and that interests you in some way.
  • After you’ve posted the quotation, you need to try to articulate a question that you have about that passage, and that relates to something in the reading that is of interest to you. The question should be explained over at least five sentences. This will give you the opportunity to develop your thinking about the reading in a meaningful way. Do not simple restate facts, or summarize what you’ve read or viewed. We’ve all read it and we DO NOT need you to rehash the plot, the major themes, etc… You should be engaging with this material in a way that reflects what you’re thinking about it. That’s what’s most important here.
  • Each entry should refer directly to the specific passage that you quoted from. You may want to relate this passage to another passage in the reading, or to a broader idea but the question needs to be based in the passage itself.
  • You will also be required to respond to at least one of your classmates’ reading responses. Be sure to engage in a meaningful, respectful way with their ideas. Don’t just say “I agree” or “that’s a bad idea.” Try to use your engagement as an occasion to produce new ideas.

Reading responses are graded, and in order to receive full credit, they need to reflect careful reading and thinking. Reading responses that don’t demonstrate that you’ve done the reading will not receive credit. For instance, if you write, as a question, “Why did you have us read this?” or, “What other books did this author write?” or “What does the author want to say to us?” then you won’t receive credit. Be specific, referencing the reading/viewing material and engaging with it, and you’ll do fine

The Tonkin Gulf Resolution: A Textual Analysis

After the failures of data reporting during the Tonkin Gulf Incident, LBJ demanded and got full power to run the war from the executive branch with no legislative oversight. The legislation passed after the Incident, misrepresented details big and small – the Tonkin Gulf Resolution is a strange mix of factual misrepresentations and outright lies.

It is arguable that the Resolution itself, its very language, its very phrasing, allowed this disastrous escalation to unfold.

Make your argument.

QUESTION: Name one way the actual language of Tonkin Gulf Resolution led to a bad result in South East Asia.

Structure and Content: Requirements and Minimums

A unified, content-predictive thesis that reflects a manner of thinking about this issue in every body paragraph. Answer the question by unifying the elements of your argument: Why are these elements you are about to present important? What strings them together? In the end, what single quality or value holds them together? – this is your reasoning for your thesis.

Vivid details about the moment and the man from research from the Young book, documentaries as well as available internet/library research. Explain how the very words of the Resolution led to this disaster. No glittering generalities about “the world” or “people” – develop using detailed, book-available dates, terms and names. Use a mixture of direct quotation, summary and paraphrase – that’s right: Apply your source integration techniques. Build your paragraphs with relevant source material, building your essay on the stories, names and dates from Young and the three textual sources you produce through your research. Write about the writing.

Good paragraphing – unified, coherent and fully developed. Always revise to discover your true topic sentence (it is always more detailed than the one you originally planned for your pre-writing). A controlled and focused topic sentence accompanied by the examples, each of which is explained in its value and relevance. It’s not self-evident why what you choose to quote is important – don’t just reword what is said – your readers need your input, your guidance. What do you notice in the individual details?

Speaking of outlining, please attach your final working outline for your essay submission.

2000 or so words in length. Five plus pages, plus the “Works Cited” page.
