Personally, I do believe that in certain circumstances that a nationally based police force would be great to have. On the other hand, I think that it is just as import for the nation to have a divided police force. This is due to every geographical location across the United States having different outlooks on life that may originate from politics, morals, or ethical believes. As an individual who lives in the state where one of the worst issues within law enforcement cause a massive tidal wave of movements and destruction not only throughout the State of Minnesota, but across the nation. I can contest that if there were political figures in the State of Minnesota who acted faster, there might have been less destruction within the Twin Cities. Although, the result was the national guard assisting the state, if there was a national police force that was held to the same standards with harsher penalties, I think that situations like the one within the city of Minneapolis with George Floyd might not have occurred or the outcome would have been drastically different. Either way, there are pros and cons to having one police force and not. For an example, all citizens of the United States would fund these nationwide police force with federal taxes, but what happens when one state uses the force more than others? Does that state have to pay more for them or not? Therefore, I personally think that it is a good idea to have separated police forces for each state, all the while having the national guard on standby for any additional assistance.

SDN & IBN

Software-defined networking (SDN) and intent-based networking (IBN) offer an ability to revolutionize the modern network architecture. Both concepts are relatively new, and your chief technology officer (CTO) has only heard them in passing. In fact, she pawned them off as the new “marketing fad” dressed up as a new concept. Since you have researched both technologies, you understand this is not a fad. When used in combination with virtualization and cloud computing, you know SDN and IBN could revolutionize how the organization operates, providing for reduced costs, efficiency, better management of the network assets, and security. 

However, you need to develop a white paper for the Caduceus CTO to highlight these benefits. Given the CTO has only heard the term in passing, you must describe in this white paper, the SDN and IBN concepts, their benefits, and what it would take for the organization to implement.

Writing Your Paper

After you brainstorm ideas for this assignment, refer to the company highlights document for more details about Caduceus.

In your white paper, use additional sources of information but also describe the concept in layman’s terms. Use visuals where appropriate. Describe how an SDN/IBN architecture would look different than network architectures we have traditionally deployed. Citing the textbook only is not enough to demonstrate you understand and can apply the course objectives. The recommendations need not to be specific to the organization examined, but should consider how other organizations, if similarly situated, could lessen the impact of the problem or decision identified. Recall, that the organization under examination has already moved pasted this problem so any recommendations made, at this point, are fruitless. The focus of this section should be on what other companies should be aware of to address similar problems or decisions. Citation to the textbook alone is insufficient for analysis in this section. Learners should conduct research in the University’s library to support their positions. Depth of scholarship is not demonstrated by providing personal opinions alone, but by using examples, analogies, comparison and illustrations from the academic literature. Not only does this synthesize the material to assist the reader’s understanding, it is an effective way to present the academic sources and extend the discussion of your ideas. This section should be a paragraph or two.

Alternative Recommendations: This section is not a continuation of the prior. Provide suggestions for how to avoid the problem or decision the examined organization faced. Analysis here should be may be forward- thinking, predictive or, most likely, preventative in nature but tied to the thesis statement. Again, opinion is insufficient to provide the required academic analysis. Sources, other than the text, must be provided to sustain the statements made. This section should be a paragraph, at most.

Conclusion: End the assignment with a summary of the important points made in the document. No new information may be presented. Writing a conclusion can be done by rewording the opening or reformulation the topic sentences of each paragraph to make a summary for the reader. This section should be a paragraph, at most.

Using JASP TOOL (Statistical Analysis)

You have been provided the data set in order to answer the research question below. The data set (CSV-Student_Achievement_Dataset.CSV) is a Comma-Separated-Values file. Generally, JASP opens these files nicely, but you will always want to check your rows and columns to see that nothing seems out of place. You will do a complete/full analysis with this file and provide your conclusion in APA format. Again, you should not include output in your dissertation, but for this assignment, it IS required. 

A quiz that earns full credit will include (for each research question):

1. An introductory sentence about which test(s) will be used and what indicated that it was the correct test.

2. A stated null and alternative hypothesis. (Except for correlation)

3. The output from JASP.

hoose a country and explain which one of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) you believe is most relevant for addressing the global burden of disease in that country, and support why. 

 The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) work together to improve the lives of individuals in need. The MDGs focus on eight target areas, from goals of reducing child mortality rates to ensuring environmental sustainability (Lomazzi et. al, 2014). Based on the prevalence of poverty and  hunger in Liberia, it is important to focus on MDG 1, which is eradicating extreme poverty and hunger. As Markle et. al (2014) explains, a third of people die prematurely due to poor nutrition and caloric deficiencies. In addition, out of the estimated 11 million children that die before the age of five, three fourths of the deaths occur in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia; thus, including Liberia (Markle et. al, 2014). By focusing on efforts to eradicate poverty and world hunger, in turn, mortality rates will decrease and so will diseases that thrive off of “vulnerable children with host defenses weakened by hunger” (Markle et. al, 2014). 

Then, explain how achieving health related SDGs may impact global society in that country. Specifically, in your response be sure to discuss the means by which structural bias, social inequities and racism undermine health and create challenges to achieving health equity at organizational, community, and societal levels. Provide examples.

 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) one and two go hand-in-hand with MDG 1. SDG 1 focuses on ending poverty in all its forms everywhere and SDG 2, aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture (WHO, n.d.). By focusing on achieving these SDGs, the impact on society in Liberia can shift greatly. Duncan-Cassell (2012) explains that women in Liberia suffer disproportionately from the effects of poverty and their lack of voice maintains gender inequalities. Duncan-Cassell (2012) goes on to mention that Liberian women make up 60% of Liberia’s population and are the primary marketers and traders for food crop production and cash crop production. With this being said, SDGs 1 and 2 could be achieved by implementing food programs which also empower rural women of Liberia. For example, the National Rural Women Program was implemented by the Liberian government in 2008, which gives women the opportunity to voice needs and lead initiatives (Duncan-Cassell, 2012). More specifically Duncan-Cassell (2012) states: 

 The Food Security and Nutrition Program successfully sensitized, mobilized, and engages 43 farming groups in the rural women structures in three of the 15 counties in Liberia. The program delivered 37, 457 pieces if assorted quality farming tools and 158 metric tons of seed rice to the 43 groups and provided training in power tiller operation, management, and maint3enance and increased capacity of women in improved farming methods, land use, and post-harvest processing and organization development.

 Overall, it is believed that increasing the women’s participation in the labor force is associated with reduced poverty, better health and education, and faster economic growths (Duncan-Cassell, 2012). However, challenges are still prevalent. Challenges include: geographic disparities, shortages in infrastructure, limited economic opportunities, and socio-cultural barriers (Duncan-Cassell, 2012).

You are headed to Dr. Rasmussen’s office for your third week of supervision. When you walked by his office to get some water from the water foundation, you notice Brenda and Kelvin seated in Dr. Rasmussen’s office. After getting some water, you walk in and Dr. Rasmussen states, “Please come in and have a seat. Is it okay if group supervision was facilitated today?”. You state, “Sure, that’s fine”. Dr. Rasmussen began conversing about the diverse population of clients being served at New Directions, LLC and how we must understand the importance of celebrating all clients. He also indicated that everyone is responsible for understanding the struggles with the vulnerable populations we serve and how we must utilize evidence-based approaches in our practice.

Throughout the hour-long consultative and collaborative session, many great points were discussed in which everyone was actively engaged. As we were closing, Dr. Rasmussen stated, “I really enjoyed our dialogue today. Would the three of you be willing to develop a presentation to present to our sister agency next month on what we discussed?”  In unison, Brenda and Kelvin verbalized agreement. You also agreed to be a part of this teamwork activity. Dr. Rasmussen stated, “Great! You won’t be alone. I’m presenting on a research study I had published related to everything we just discussed. I need real life data that is legit and from a reliable internet source (examples: inflation rates, mortgage costs in Utah, etc.) these are ideas of what type of data.
