Project Design

What is the problem to be addressed by your project?

Write the Problem Statement briefly explaining the problem that the project will address.

What do you hope to achieve by the end of your project?

Write the Research Aim in ONE sentence.

What questions do you want your project to answer?

Write the Research Question.

The exact form of your question will depend on on the length of your project, the type of research, the topic, and the research problem. But all research questions should be focused, specific, appropriately complex, and relevant to a social or scholarly issue.

What specific steps will you take to achieve your research aim?

Write the Research Objectives.

Having clearly defined and meaningful objectives is a critical component of a successful research project as they narrow and focus the research, ensuring that the findings are relevant.

The research objectives drive all aspects of the methodology, including instrument design, data collection, analysis, and ultimately the recommendations.

Research objectives should be presented briefly and concisely, in logical sequence, be achievable, and use action verbs that are specific enough to be evaluated or measured (e.g., assess, determine, compare, verify, calculate, describe).

Additional Requirements:

  • 12-point Times New Roman; double spaced; and page numbering.
  • Please be sure to complete the entire assignmetn to receive maximum credit for this assignment.
  • Use and include information from the weekly course content and outside sources to support the conclusions contained in your submission.
  • Be cognizant of spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Supply Chain

Who’s best in class, who’s worst in class???? (No, not like that!)

Length and format: 800 words

Topic

Functioning with the ability to offer your customers true value in a global supply chain is daunting at best. Some companies embrace the opportunities, some shy away, or believe there’s no real reason to change the way they currently do business. This week you’re going to be able to comment on both types of businesses.

Go to the “http://www.scdigest.com”, where you will then meet a link titled “Supply Chain Graphic of the Week: Maturity Models for Both Sides of the Retail Vendor Compliance Equation:  http://www.scdigest.com/ontarget/18-06-01-1.php?cid=14277”. Here you will find two graphics that depict what best in class companies strive to achieve with their customers, as well as those companies functioning at a lesser level of performance. First read through the article and understand the graphics.

For your assignment this week, select two companies; one that exemplifies the “best in class” attributes, and one that does not. Compare and contrast the difference between the two based on the information in the article, and please, feel free to enhance your inputs through the use of any other on-line source! I encourage it! Just ensure you cite the work and remember the cited portions do not count to the total word count of the assignment.

IT Development Week 3

Assignment Details

Create a Java application called “RateCalculator.” In this application, create a custom class named “Calculator.” In the Calculator class, create a method called “Multiply” which accepts two incoming integer variables. Within the Multiply method, create an integer variable to store the total, then calculate the total based on the two incoming variables. Return the total.

In the project class, within the main() method, declare integer variables named “firstNum” and “secondNum” and set their initial values to any number between 1 and 9. Create an additional integer variable called “output.” Then write code to declare a member of the Calculator class called “myCalc” and then utilize myCalc to call the Multiply method to calculate the result of firstNum times secondNum. Store the result in “output”, and present the result on screen.

Within the Calculator class, create methods similar to Multiply called “Add”, “Subtract”, and “Divide.” Create appropriate logic within these methods, and display their use in the main method of the project class. (These methods will not be utilized when the program runs, but the code must be present.)

Write appropriate in-line comments in both the project class and the Calculator class to explain each line of code in your program.

Summary:

  • Create an application called “RateCalculator”
  • Create a custom class with the name and features listed above
  • Create methods within the Calculator class to perform the calculations
  • Write code in the Calculator class (in the main() method) to execute the methods from the Calculator class

Your deliverable for this assignment is the NetBeans project you created using the steps above (ZIP the whole folder that contains the project).

Note: There is no user input in this program. The values that will be calculated are the values that you state when you declare “firstNum” and “secondNum”.

According to Melnyk et al. (2014), Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) is a lifelong problem-solving approach to the delivery of healthcare that integrates the best evidence from research, patient preference and values, and clinical expertise. Research has shown EBP enhances the quality and reliability of health care, improves outcomes, and reduces variations in care and costs (Melnyk et al., 2014).  Research is creating new knowledge; to have good EBP, good research is required (Laureate Education, 2018).  EBP answers healthcare questions and changes the practices that nurses utilize today.

The organization I choose to review is the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA). According to the APNA website, the APNA is the largest professional organization committed to psychiatric-mental health nursing and wellness promotion, prevention of mental health problems, and the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric disorders. Throughout the APNA website, EBP practice is in several areas, including the vision, mission, and the most meaningful, in my opinion, was listed under collegiality. The Journal of American Psychiatric Nurses Association (JAPNA) is a bi-monthly journal issued to members which provide up-to-date, evidence-based nursing practices, innovative therapeutic approaches, information on treatment approaches, and clinically focused research (APNA, n.d.)

The APNA is grounded in EBP as evidence by its structure to address essential areas with issues in mental health such as nurse practices, education, research, administration, and policy (APNA, n.d.). The APNA also offers a resource for networking, continued education, and dissemination of research.

The information discovered has changed my perception of the organization. I have always felt the cost of being in a nursing organization was far too expensive. However, the APNA seems to well worth the cost of membership with the availability of resources, networking, and ongoing education opportunities. In addition, the bi-monthly evidenced-based peer-reviewed best practices journal will be priceless to my practice. The benefits far outweigh the cost of membership.

final busniess proposal

The purpose of this assignment is to finalize an internal business proposal that outlines how you will implement the solution to the problem you have identified in your organization.

Throughout the course, you have completed most of the necessary research and assignments needed to generate the final business proposal. Refer back to the “Business Proposal Project Summary” document in the Topic Materials as needed. The key pieces you will focus on creating are the Executive Summary and the Conclusion/Call to Action.

Using feedback from the assignments in Topics 5-7, create your final business proposal document. It should include each of the pieces listed below.

  1. Executive Summary (250 words) provides a short summary of the entire proposal so key stakeholders can see an overview of the proposal and understand it without reading the entire document.
  2. Purpose Statement (100-250 words) provides clear statement of why the business proposal is being made.
  3. Problem Statement (revised as needed from Topic 1 assignment feedback) including specific data (statistics and numbers) related to how the problem impacts the business. This part of the proposal should include the graph/chart/data you collected in Part 1 of the Topic 2 assignment.
  4. Data and Research Findings (250-500 words) should include a summary of what you learned from conducting research related to what has already been done to address the organizational problem. This part of the proposal should include the graph/chart/data you collected in Part 2 of the Topic 2 assignment.
  5. Proposed Solution (250-500 words) should include a summary of the top three problem solutions you considered to address the problem. In addition to including the graph/chart/data you collected in Part 3 of the Topic 2 assignment, this section should provide a succinct discussion of the pros and cons of implementing each of the top three solutions being considered to address the problem.
  6. Stakeholder Analysis and Benefits (500 words, revised as needed from Topic 3 assignment feedback) summarizes all data and information related to the key stakeholders affected by the proposed problem solution along with a summary of benefits to be gained by stakeholders if the problem solution is implemented.
  7. Change Management Plan (250-500 words) clearly articulates specific methods and strategies to be utilized to manage organizational changes associated with the selected solution implementation.
  8. Implementation Methods (250-500 words) summarize specific strategies that will used to implement the problem solution, including time and costs associated with implementation of the solution.
  9. Evaluating Success (250 words) summarize specific measures you will use to evaluate the success of the problem solution.
  10. Conclusion/Call to Action (100 words) provides specific steps you would like key stakeholders and sponsors to take in the implementation of the proposed solution.

It is important to include specific data throughout the business proposal. Include statistics that support the problem statement; can be used to establish and track goals; relate to specifics of implementation, timing, and cost; and illustrate stakeholder benefits. Keep in mind that the proposal is an internal document that will be read by stakeholders within the organization where the problem exists. Focus on this audience as you write. Within the Word document, include subsection titles to organize content according to the categories listed above to provide easy reference points for the reader.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Module 03 Course Project – State Policy

As new illnesses, conditions, diseases, technology or approaches to treatment are discovered and/or used in healthcare we often create new policies to accompany them. Policies are typically enacted to prevent situations from becoming worse and oftentimes to improve outcomes. Some policies are implemented on a national level while others only apply to specific states.

Conduct research within the state that you live in and find a healthcare policy that has been implemented within the last 20 years. Write a 4-5 page paper on that a healthcare policy (ex. Nursing home reform, ambulance transportation, etc.). Think about how this policy impacts your role and the roe of your organization. Be sure to include the following:

  • Discuss the purpose of the healthcare policy or reform and the gap it was created to fill. Provide the name of the policy or reform and any qualifying measures.
  • As you think about your state, explain how the policy is beneficial to the people it serves. Share whether it meets the expectation it intended to.
  • Include any data that is relevant to showing improved outcomes as a result of the policy and whether it is effective.
  • Explain different viewpoints or opposing viewpoints to the policy/reform. Explain why it was opposed.
  • Use audience-specific language
  • Include information that can be extracted and used as a guide that addresses specific questions your organization/staff will need to know.
  • Use 3 credible sources, with 2 being from the Rasmussen College Library. Include in-text citations where appropriate.
  • Use an APA formatted reference page

8080 MD. 2 Assignment 2

Review the Laureate Education media segment How to Observe Children in the Learning Resources. Familiarize yourself with developmental milestones for young children between the ages of 3 and 5. Then, watch the Laureate Education media segment Child Development: Preschool Children and complete the following:

Based on your observations of children between the ages of 3 and 5, provide the following:

Anecdotal descriptions for each of the developmental domains:

  • Social-emotional
  • Cognitive
  • Language
  • Physical

Three anecdotal descriptions that capture the interrelationship between developmental domains

Guidelines for anecdotal descriptions: Your anecdotal descriptions provide an objective summary of what you observed in the areas of social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. For each description, be sure to include specific language that captures the nuances of development. Your descriptions should focus on one or two children and be a half page to 1 page in length for each developmental area and for each description of an interrelationship.

Following completion of your anecdotal descriptions for both age groups (birth to 2 and ages 3 to 5), write a 2- to 3-page reflection paper that responds to the following questions about your observation experiences:

  • How do the observation data you gathered and the process you used to observe inform your ability to conduct observations in the field?
  • What questions emerged during the observation process about the children in the media segment and the overall experience of observing? Did you experience challenges in remaining objective? If so, what were these challenges?
  • As you reflect on the observation process and experience, what questions arise?
  • What else would you like to know about the children you observed (related to individual and environmental factors)? What strategies could you use to gather this information?
  • How did the data you obtained during your observation deepen your understanding of children’s development and learning and the interrelationship between developmental domains?
  • What additional information do you need to acquire about how children develop? How could you obtain this information?
  • How did what you observe exemplify what you are learning about within the course?
  • How does data gathered during observation support your current role and/or future role in the field?

Cite appropriate references in APA format to substantiate your thinking.

philosophy

Description

This essay has to be between 500 and 800 words.

II WOMEN IN EARLY CHRISTIANITY

Answer all parts of this prompt in the proper order.

o Give an account of the role of women in early Christianity based on Letters of St. Paul, Eisler (The Chalice and the Blade Ch.9) and The Gnostic Gospels excerpt by Elaine Pagels. (= What is your impression of the role of women in the first 200 years of Christianity based on the course readings?)

  • Give an account of Pagels’s theory      of the role of Mary Magdalene (also referred to in Eisler Ch.9). What is      Pagel’s theory based on, and why has it created such a stir in some      Christian communities? https://prohomeworkhelpers.com/essayquestions/

o What do you think? Could Pagels be right about Mary Magdalene?

General Hints:

o “Identify,” or “Give an account,” means to describe someone’s theory as accurately as you can.

  • When a prompt asks you to      “define,” you need to come up with other words that express the      same idea, as clearly as you can, also as if you were writing to      someone who has never heard of the theory before. https://www.instaassignment.com/

o When a prompt asks you to “explain,” you need to describe the theory in great detail, so someone who has never heard of it before can understand what it is all about. The explanation should include the philosopher’s intention or purpose (= why is he or she putting those thoughts together? What point are they trying to make?).

o “Analyze” usually means to identify the author’s goal and means of achieving it, and add your opinion: Is the author’s theory well founded, or not?

Contextual Analysis

The case analysis assignment will include a series of two papers based on a case study that are due throughout the semester at times indicated on the course Canvas site and the course schedule. These papers assess the student’s understanding and ability to integrate individual and family theories within a systems perspective. Using the case study, One Little Boy, students will construct a comprehensive view of a family experiencing difficulty. This task develops integrative and critical thinking necessary for generalist assessment and intervention at the micro level. This analysis should double spaced text, including appendices and references and should follow the format below.  It should be formatted in APA style regarding margins, headings, page numbers, font, reference list, appendices, and in-text citations.Paper 1: Contextual Analysis (10%)

  • Problem Statement.2-3 sentences that summarize the central problems. The summary may cross system levels, and succinctly identifies the crucial problems that contribute to the dilemma experienced by the client/family. This is not a question, but a statement that identifies a professional analysis of the essential problem(s) in the case. Work hard to analyze the situation and not just restate the dilemma, and identify what is causing it.
  • Contextual Analysis. 3-page (minimum) analysis of the central issues for this case. This should include an analysis of micro, mezzo, exo, macro and chrono systems using an ecological framework. In this case, it may help to think about issues between the social worker and client(s), functioning of the various systems, the context of the treatment, agency issues, and relationships between those involved in the case.
  • Biological/PhysicalDevelopment Analysis. 2-page (minimum) Utilizing knowledge of physicaldevelopment, identify the possible genetic, epigenetic and biological components contributing to the problem(s). Accurately assesses the subject’s current physical development with special attention to genetic and epigenetic issues. Use at least 3 relevant sources (other than the course text) from the past five years to support this portion of the analysis.
  • Reflection. 1-page (minimum) Provide a reflection on what YOU  learned in this analysis. Next, identify one social work competency below and describe how this will affect your practice with individual or family dynamics and/or development.  Your reflection can be written in first person.
  • Genogram & Ecomap. Construct a genogram and ecogram for the client/ family. These should be placed at the end of the paper as appendices (they are not part of the three- page analysis. Be as descriptive as possible about the larger system in which this client/family resides. A good resource for learning about genograms and ecomaps is found here:
