3-4 paragraphs NEEDED URGENT

· Post a description of the brain basis of eating behaviors. That description should detail the brain regions that promote eating and satiety, as well as the neurotransmitters and hormones that are involved in these behaviors. Briefly discuss the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of reducing caloric intake to lose weight.

· Summarize the current understanding of a particular eating disorder: obesity. Include what is currently understood about brain regions, hormones, or neurotransmitters involved with your disorder and talk about any existing treatment options. Then, based on your understanding of the biological factors that influence weight gain and homeostasis, you will propose a brain-based therapy for your disorder (i.e., drugs, genetic treatments, deep brain stimulation, etc.).

· Lastly, research suggests that many young people develop eating disorders based on comments from family and friends as well as social pressure. With that in mind, and based on your understanding of motivation factors related to eating and your understanding of eating disorders, propose an approach you might take to encourage a teenage friend or family member to eat healthily and NOT develop an eating disorder. You may include any relevant information from personal experiences, the Learning Resources, or other sources.

Describe your bacterial infection and the cells that are involved

 Evidence-Based Model 01 – How do antibiotics work?Scientists use explanatory models in order to be able to connect a series of ideas to explain how a natural phenomenon might work.  Their explanation includes the available evidence and existing scientific knowledge up to that time.  A model can then be tested and revised, if necessary, as new information is gained.  In this model you will concentrate on telling a story of how an antibiotic might work on a typical prokaryotic bacterial cell inside of a eukaryotic animal.  A story flows from a beginning, a middle, and an end.  This story will be mostly a picture book story supported by words when necessary to help explain your point.  The objective of this exercise is to help you to learn the cellular structures and their functions inside of two different types of cells found in living organisms.  This type of story is called an explanatory model, where you explain how you think a natural phenomenon works through an evidence-based explanation (or story).  Your evidence, in this instance, is the information from your observations, measurements, and reliable resources from class, your labs, and your text. OK, so let’s get started!  Here is a checklist of the following terms and concepts that you should include in your story of how antibiotics might work.Checklist for Explanatory Model of How Antibiotics Might Work(Abbreviations: P = Paragraph; F = Figure)First, there was an infection….P1: Give your reader a context to your story.  Where is your story taking place?  How did the infection get started?  Make sure you highlight that bacteria are causing the infection.  P2: What are cells and what are they made of?  Explain what Cell Theory says.  Describe the functions of all of the cellular structures in the list below.F1: Draw a picture of a typical prokaryotic bacterial cell next to a typical eukaryotic animal cell (After all, this infection is taking place inside of an animal!)Be sure to include AND label the following where appropriate:  Cell membrane  Cell wall  Chromosomal DNA  Ribosomes  Cytoplasm  Nucleus  Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum  Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum  Golgi Apparatus  Lysosomes  Vacuoles  Mitochondria  Cytoskeleton  Flagella

Chapter 2 of Dissertation Proposal

An Chapter 2 outline,

and body content as mush as possible by Wednesday.

Please see attached template and prospectus PPT for reference.

1. By June 2( Week 4), to submit the Chapter 1 of my proposal and an outline of Chapter 2.

2. Making sure to have themes of my study to synthesize information on the template, and identify the patterns; show connections among the 4 themes as the 4 themes are foundation of my literature review part of dissertation and evaluate what I get from literature sources;

3. It is critical to evaluate the research sources in my research fields, identify the gap and explain how my study is extinguished from the rest of the studies in the field, and how my study would stand out (referring to slide 3 of my prospectus), and how my study will fill that gap;

4. For chapter 1, include problem statement, problem space( gap), briefly identify the problem statement articulating throughout the dissertation; make sure using identical language throughout the whole dissertation: problem statement, purpose statement etc.

6. By the end of week 8, chapter 1 needs to be completed, and finish as much of Chapter 2 as I can. I should also start working on the chapter 3 by populating information from prospectus PPT: such as purpose statement, methodology, explain why choosing qualitative methodology over quantitative, why choose descriptive design for my study etc.

7. I also need to get familiar with IRB preparation by June 16, and to get to know expectation by participating IRB open sessions and gain insightful understanding.

 “Building Models” Please respond to the following:

  • Suppose you were building an object model for an online banking system. Determine which of the 14 heuristics for building models you would use to build the banking system. Provide a rationale.
  • Blackboard is a Web-based learning management system used by Strayer for instructions, online interaction, and for educational assessment. Provide three examples of composite objects that are used in Blackboard. Explain why you believe they are composite objects.

Stakeholder analysis is a systematic process that identifies all parties that will be affected by a new information system, and attempts to estimate the consequences of the project for each stakeholder group. A major goal of stakeholder analysis is to ensure that the consequences of a new system are considered for all parties that will be affected by the system.

The most common stakeholders to consider for most systems projects are:

  1. The system champion: The system champion is the person or group who initiates the project and provides support for it.
  2. The system users: The users are the individuals who will work with the system once it is implemented.
  3. The organization’s management: The organization management commits resources to the project and has an interest in seeing those resources be used to improve the functioning of the organization.

Classmates:

Suppose you were building an object model for an online banking system. Determine which of the 14 heuristics for building models you would use to build the banking system. Provide a rationale.

The two heuristics recommended are: heuristic one and heuristic three.  According to Lamsweerde (2009), driving objects from goal models (heuristic one) means defining all the conceptual objects that relate to domain properities and goals in a goal model.  It ensures that an object model is complete and accurate with respects to objects referenced in the goal model.  In the banking example, this allows the requirements engineer (RE) to ensure he or she is has the complete set of objects that must be incorporated into the primary requirements.

Heuristic three enables REs to define associations for objects that system agents cannot normally monitor or control.  For example, if an object defined by a goal that cannot normally be resolved by a system agent, the RE can define an “image” of the object.  If a situation in the banking example exists, where a goal cannot be handled by a specific object, the RE can use the “image” and one-to-one link with the actual object to ensure that attributes stay consistent and that the goal is being handled.

Blackboard is a Web-based learning management system used by Strayer for instructions, online interaction, and for educational assessment. Provide three examples of composite objects that are used in Blackboard. Explain why you believe they are composite objects.

Three examples of composite objects are: gradebook, discussion board, and video lectures.  These are composite objects because they are made up of individual parts or objects (composite), which can be linked during system runtime (Lamsweerde, 2009).  Gradebook object is made up of objects that input and store a letter grade, define the weights, and calculate the average final grade.  The discussion board object is made up objects that store comment text, tools for editing the comment, and a submit button to submit the comment.  Video lectures are objects composed other smaller objects, such as an object for encoding and decoding sound, an object to send video signals, and an object to receive video signals.

Ethical Leadership

The title below is a link to separate news articles. Each week you are required to find one news article (from the news feed or library research) that relates to your personal interests and discuss how that article relates to our weekly material. Tell your instructor what the article was about and how the article relates to our learning content this week. Be creative with your thoughts on how you link the article to our course material). You should post the evaluation of the article at the end of your response to the discussion questions each week (Include this section as part of your 250-word response). The news feeds are updated throughout the day/week to provide you with a real-time learning environment. This technology integration will provide you, as a learner, the choice to discuss news events that fit your personal background and interests. It will also help you stay educated on current events that might relate to your related profession or personal interests. Enjoy.
