Cyberwarfare responses

Provide (2) 150 words substantive response with a minimum of 1 APA references for RESPONSES 1 AND 2 below. Response provided should further discuss the subject or provide more insight. To further understand the response, below is the discussion post that’s discusses the responses. 100% original work and not plagiarized. Must meet deadline.

RESPONSE 1:

1.  What is cyber warfare?

Cyber Warfare is the use of information systems as weapons against an opposing force or adversary. This is normally used by government and military organizations to conduct cyberattacks and also cyber espionage missions. Cyber-attacks include the use of systems to offensively attack another opposing forces computer system. They are meant to disrupt the mission of the opposing force, and cause some form of damage (Chapple and Seidl 2015, 5). In my opinion, Cyber Warfare could be considered the new “Cold War” since most of the time the public never hears about the damage that is caused by opposing forces. The only damage that is actually released from the governments would be anything that would directly affect the public or caused damage that any natural causes couldn’t explain.

2.  What is a network?

A network consists of two or more computers connected together, physically or wirelessly, to share resources, exchange data, or otherwise communicate with each other. Networks can be broken down into two broad categories of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks. Local area networks are networks that are connected within a specific defined physical space, such as an office building. Wide Area Networks are networks that can stretch across multiple office buildings all over the world. Networks are indeed the backbone of the majority of major businesses around the world. Without different networks, most companies wouldn’t be able to have email, shared drives for files, collaborative virtual meetings, or even the internet as we know it today (IBM Cloud Education 2021).

3.  What constitutes a threat to a network?

Anything that can cause harm or damage to your network can be constituted as a threat. In recent times, the biggest threat to a network is malware/ransomware. We all have heard of the hospitals, businesses, and schools that have been hit with ransomware attacks in recent years. Ransomware attacks occur when a hacker infiltrates a network and runs encryption software on all of the files on your computer/network. After everything is encrypted, the hacker then only shows a screen requesting payment for the encryption key to allow you to unencrypt your data. Most of the time, the hackers request cryptocurrency as payment so the money can’t be traced back (RSI Security 2019).

RESPONSE 2:

Cyber warfare is the use of information systems to attack or defend against an enemy, or to gain access to an enemy’s protected information. As a part of information operations and information warfare cyberwarfare involves war in or through its own domain. Warfare can be conducted in this domain by penetrating, disrupting or destroying enemy information systems, defending against enemy network attacks, exploiting enemy networks and collecting information of intelligence value. This type of warfare can be conducted by government entities, non-state actors such as criminal organizations or terrorist groups, or individuals acting on their own. Even media organizations and corporations can wage their own cyberwarfare campaigns to further their own interests and goals. Such activities can be masked by governments by using any other organization or individual in order to avoid culpability, making legal action difficult or impossible.

A network, in terms of information architecture, is a series of connections between devices, where one device communicates with one or more devices, which are, themselves, communicating with one or more devices. These can be telephones, computers, vending machines or household appliances. Governments, corporations, civilians and other organizations can all operate networks on private or public servers.

Network threats are organizations that attempt cyberwarfare tactics and techniques against a specific network. These are defined by Dr. Chase Cunningham and Gregory J. Touhill as having capability and intent. It is these actors that write the code and create programs that penetrate, disrupt and cause harm to civilian, government and corporate networks. They can use a variety of tools that can spread through networks like biological viruses, infecting one system after another, or exfiltrating data to an outside entity. Network threats are people with specific goals and objectives. These threats can come from terrorist organizations and extremists, those seeking to commit cyber espionage, foreign militaries and non-state hacker groups.

Assignment 05: Respondeat Superior

HA4050D – Healthcare Law

  Assignment 05: Respondeat Superior

Assignment

Task: Submit to complete this assignment

Prior to completing this assignment, you must complete your own research to find a court case. Log in to the NAU Library and locate the Nexis Uni database. There, search for a court case that involved a negligence suit against a health care corporation on the basis of respondeat superior. In other words, you will be looking for a case where a plaintiff alleged that a corporation’s employee committed a negligent act within the course and scope of employment. The plaintiff is thus attempting to hold the defendant corporation liable for the employee’s conduct. (Please be sure that the case you choose is NOT a case you are already using for the term paper assignment.)

Directions

Using the court case you found through your own research, respond to the questions below:

1.What were the allegations against the defendant? What is the employ alleged to have done that constituted negligence?

2.Was there any dispute that the alleged acts of the employee occurred within the course and scope of employment? If so, what factors did the court discuss in deciding that question?

3.Imagine you are an administrator at the defendant corporation. How would you have reacted when your company was first served with this lawsuit? What steps would you have taken to investigate the allegations? What policy or procedure changes, if any, might you think about implementing to prevent a similar occurrence in the future?

Choose one of the formats below in which to submit your assignment:

.A 2-page paper of no fewer than 500 words, written in APA style with all references cited;

.A PowerPoint presentation of no fewer than five slides, not including a title slide and reference slide. You must include at least three visual elements such as diagrams, images, or illustrations; or

A video of at least 5 minutes in length where you discuss the case and your answers to these questions on camera. Upload the video to a hosting service such as YouTube and provide the link in the assignment dropbox.

No matter which format you choose, remember that you must include the full citation to the case.

Activity 5&6

Activity 5

Develop a work breakdown structure (WBS) for each of your two or three alternative solutions to your performance problem.

The link at the end of this paragraph leads to the IT Economics WBS reading, which includes an explanation of how to develop a WBS and illustrations of work breakdown structures. The illustrations can serve as a model for your preparation of Activity 5. The explanation and illustrations should give you an idea of the level of detail appropriate for the WBS required for each of your two alternative solutions.

******************************************************************************************

 Activity 6

Perform a risk analysis on each of your two or three best alternative solutions to your performance problem.

The reading from IT Economics Corp., Risk Analysis of Alternative Solutions, includes a risk analysis template along with five broad risk criteria and their definitions. Also, there are three examples of the use of the template to document a risk analysis. Use this template and the risk criteria to conduct and document a risk analysis for each of your alternative solutions.

In using this template for this course, you are not expected to do as thorough a risk identification as would be required in an actual project. You are expected, though, to identify the major risks associated with the alternative solutions for your project. Also, you need to have a minimum of two viable alternative solutions after you perform the risk analysis and screen out any too-risky solutions. The two best alternative solutions are needed in order to use the remaining templates. The risk analysis can help you to identify areas in which risk mitigate strategies can and should be used.

Fun home prep #2

OPTION A: “A PROPER BURIAL”:  As you can see on the front page of the WIKI, Alison Bechdel has described her book as way of giving her father “a proper burial.” You’ll soon see how complicated that is—try to carefully explain a few of these issues. (Chapter Two is the best place to start, but the complications surely don’t end there.) NOTE: There is a HANDOUT about this topic on our BB site, and we will discuss it via ZOOM. It should really help you take some notes to get started!

OPTION B: “A HOUSE FULL OF BOOKS”:  In the essays by President Barack Obama and Isabel Allende, both speak of the ways in which books “gave voice” to ideas and feeling they had had but were not able to recognize or express. In Fun Home, it’s hard to find a scene in which Bruce or Alison is not holding a book. They also make a point to share books and discuss them. Again, please avoid writing a “list,” and focus on a specific scene (or two) and the series of texts that help Bruce or Alison to learn about themselves or to reveal something to each other. (The WIKI might help with some background and choices. Also see the HANDOUT on our BB site.)

Please write a post of at least 250 words about ONE of these OPTIONS. Please make sure to refer to specific scenes. It is worth 4 points. DUE DATE: By midnight on Monday, May 24th.

Examine a problem you have seen in nursing.

A big problem facing the healthcare system is the shortage of nurses. There are an estimated 3.9 million nurses in the United States, and it was predicted that an additional one million nurses were needed by the year 2020. Nurses play a critical part in the healthcare and are one of the largest and fastest growing health professions. Though nursing is the largest and fastest growing profession, there is a shortage of nursing and the demand for nurses continues to increase. The United States faces increase nurse shortage due to the increased patient demand for care, (Hunter, DNP, RN, CHSE, CNE, C., 2021).

The shortage of nurses puts a strain on the healthcare system and affects patient care. Several issues are of concern to which the reason of nurse shortage. There is a lack of qualified faculty to teach and classroom spaces to teach nursing students, increase number of nurses retiring or leaving profession, nursing burnout which can be due to the same nursing shortage problem and the increased number of the aging population needing patient care, (AHC MEDIA., 2021). The recent pandemic of COVID has increased the demand for nurses and it continues to put a strain to the healthcare system.

Nurse shortage needs to be studied more to reduce nurse burnout, prevent and reduce medication errors and deaths, reduce wait times for patients, provide better access to education for those seeking a career in nursing, provide accommodations and flexibility, (Haddad, L. M., 2020).

Using 200-300 words APA format with references to support this discussion

Nursing research is used to study a dilemma or a problem in nursing. Examine a problem you have seen in nursing. Provide an overview of the problem and discuss why the problem should be studied. Provide rational and support for your answer.

Parse’s Human Becoming Theory

Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Support your ideas with at least two (2) sources and your textbook using citations in your essay. Make sure to cite using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page in correct APA do not count towards the minimum word amount. Review the rubric criteria for this assignment.

Case Study

The hospice nurse sat with Ann’s husband, Ben. Ann was resting quietly as the increased dosage of IV pain medication gradually reached its therapeutic level. Ben turned his head and slowly turned, looking out the room’s only window. As he glanced up, a small flicker of light caught his breath. It was a shooting star. A tear fell from the corner of his eye and he turned to Ann. The nurse sensed that something significant to Ann and Ben was unfolding. Shuffling to Ann’s bedside, he took her small fragile hand in his. These hands had rocked cradles, burped babies, and groomed the horses she loved to ride. Gently holding her hand, he turned to the nurse. “She would ride like the wind was chasing her.” Looking back to Ann his voice broke; choking back tears “Ann, Ann I saw Jessie…Jessie is calling.” Ben turned “Jessie was our daughter. She died having a baby that was too big. When she died it was a pitch-black night. Cold, so cold, the baby died too, a little boy, named him Abe, Jr. after Jessie’s husband. I took Ann outside so she could cry to God above and there in this dark sky we saw two falling stars…together…just falling. We knew it had to be Jessie and Abe…two angels to light up the night.” Ben turned back as a deep sigh escaped from Ann’s lips. A soft smile remained as she joined Jessie and Abe.

  • Based on this case study how would the nurse actualize Parse’s theory of Human Becoming?
  • What are characteristics of a human becoming nurse?  What are strengths and weaknesses to this theory of nursing?
  • What challenges exist for healthcare institutions to switch to this nursing approach?
  • How might Parse’s understanding of transcendence guide the nurse, as Ann’s death became a reality to Ben?
  • From the nursing theories we have discussed, what additional theory would you apply to this case study? Develop a plan of care to include both nursing theories (be specific and provide reasons)

Assignment Expectations:

Length: 1250 – 1500 words

Structure: Include a title page and reference page in APA format. These do not count towards the minimum word count for this assignment. Your essay must include an introduction and a conclusion.

References: Use appropriate APA style in-text citations and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions. A minimum of two (2) outside scholarly sources and the textbook are required for this assignment.

Process Evaluation

Background

The steps for process evaluation outlined by Bliss and Emshoff (2002) may seem very similar to those for conducting other types of evaluation that you have learned about in this course; in fact, it is the purpose and timing of a process evaluation that most distinguish it from other types of evaluation. A process evaluation is conducted during the implementation of the program to evaluate whether the program has been implemented as intended and how the delivery of a program can be improved. A process evaluation can also be useful in supporting an outcome evaluation by helping to determine the reason behind program outcomes.

There are several reasons for conducting process evaluation throughout the implementation of a program. Chief among them is to compare the program that is being delivered to the original program plan, in order to identify gaps and make improvements. Therefore, documentation from the planning stage may prove useful when planning a process evaluation.

For this Assignment, you either build on the work that you completed in Weeks 6, 7, and 8 related to a support group for caregivers, or on your knowledge about a program with which you are familiar. Review the resource “Workbook for Designing a Process Evaluation”.

Submit a 4 page plan for a process evaluation. Include the following minimal information:

· Abstract

  • A description of the key program elements
  • A description of the strategies that the program uses to produce change
  • A description of the needs of the target population
  • An explanation of why a process evaluation is important for the program
  • A plan for building relationships with the staff and management
  • Broad questions to be answered by the process evaluation
  • Specific questions to be answered by the process evaluation
  • A plan for gathering and analyzing the information
  • Conclusion
