Market entry strategic report

As individuals, students are required to select an Australian company as the basis of a case study. Once the company has been approved by your lecturer you will be required to prepare a detailed strategic report to management that analyses the macro-environmental, geopolitical risks and opportunities, as well as overall market attractiveness of entry of this company into BOTH a specific European AND Asian market.

Ideally your report will contain:• An Executive Summary

• A brief introduction of the selected company
• Identification of the TWO countries selected for

market entry (one European and one Asian)

• For each of the TWO countries provide a detailed analysis of:

• The current macro-environmental and geo-political forces impacting that country.

• Development of each country’s trade and businesspolicy.

• An assessment of the potential dangers, risks and opportunities in the current or short term policies of each country.

• Conclusion – After evaluating both countries students must make a recommendation of which one is most suited for market entry, along with your reasons and justifications of why.

A limit of 2000 words overall (plus or minus 10%) is to be strictly observed.

Your report must include formal title page and Holmes assignment coversheet. Ideally the report will be presented in Arial 12pt font with 1.5 lines spacing.

When complete students must submit ONLY an electronic copy Blackboard via Safe Assign (Self Check) and final submission links by the due date. The percentage matching on Safe Assign is expected to be less than 20%.

Students must also show adequate evidence of additional research with about 10 – 15 academic reference sources provided.

Case

Long-Term Care for All

The newly elected governor of a small state in which the elderly comprise 26% of the total population—twice the national average—is eager to fulfill his campaign promise. He had run for office on the slogan “long-term care for all.” The elderly in the state had overwhelmingly voted for him. Now in office about 9 months, his advisors tell him that providing long-term care services for all citizens in the state will be next to impossible because of high demand for the services. The governor, however, remains undeterred. The cornerstone of his proposed policy includes three things: (1) Develop a state-sponsored long-term care insurance plan. The insurance premiums will be income based, and will cost at least 15% less than a midlevel private long-term insurance plan being sold in the state. (2) Make it mandatory for all citizens, old and young, to purchase LTC insurance, either from the state or from a private insurance company. (3) Place restrictions on the use of nursing home and assisted living services in favor of community-based services.

Questions

1.  Give specific reasons why the governor’s policy may not work, pointing out specific problems that would likely arise.

2.  Will the policy work in a large state, everything else being equal? Give reasons.

she is prescribed to treat the symptoms that she is exhibiting will help convince her to become more compliant. Based on the information that you provided, a borderline personality diagnosis, her resistance to medications, withdrawn behavior, and history of trauma, I would recommend trying the cognitive-behavioral therapeutic (CBT) approach. CBT is based on a theory that maintains how an individual structures his or her experiences largely determines how the individual feels or behaves (Wheeler, 2014). Cognitive therapy advocates guided discovery rather than challenging the patient’s views directly (Wheeler, 2014). The most effective approach is to allow the client to find the answers to their own problems or dilemmas as much as possible (Wheeler, 2014).  Clinical strategies are used to help the individual recognize the dysfunctional nature of their thinking patterns and to help the individual change their own conclusions. CBT has a cognitive model for depression and a cognitive model for personality disorders specifically, which would both benefit your client.

Narrative therapy may be another approach that would work well with your client. Narrative therapy helps people separate themselves from the problem and allows room for a new and more constructive view of themselves (Nichols & Davis, 2020). Your client sounds as if she needs to explore what her problem actually is and realize that the problem is the problem, and that she is not the problem. The therapist will ask a series of questions to the lead the client to discuss times when the client was able to avoid the problem and will ask the client to elaborate on how those times came about, leading the client to focus on the positive and realize that more positive stories may be made (Nichols & Davis, 2020).

BUS311 Week 5 Final Paper

You are the manager of Acme Fireworks, a fireworks retailer who sells fireworks, puts on ground display fireworks, and large aerial display fireworks. The company started in the owner’s garage two years ago and now has 15 employees that you manage. The company started as a sole proprietorship, and the owner has never changed the entity. The owner has informed you that the company has received inquiries from several large businesses wondering if the company could create several fireworks displays on a regular basis. The owner told the inquirers that the company could fill such display orders, and a price per display was agreed upon. It was discussed that most of the cost for a fireworks display is for skilled labor, insurance, and the actual service of setting off the fireworks. No other details were discussed. The owner is anticipating that new employees will need to be hired, but he is worried that if the large orders for fireworks displays do not continue, the company will not have the funds to pay the new employees. The owner is now considering changing the business entity, but he does not know what entity to form or how to form it.

The owner has asked you to do the following:

  • Determine if the contracts with the businesses will be governed by common law or the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and explain why.
  • Analyze whether the owner formed a contract with the businesses, and apply the five essential elements of an enforceable contract.
  • Explain the potential personal liability to Acme Fireworks if a spectator is injured by a stray firework from a fireworks display.
  • Discuss the different employment types and relationships relevant to agency law, and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each type specific to Acme Fireworks.
  • Explain why Acme Fireworks should not operate as a sole proprietorship. Recommend a new business entity, and provide rationale to support your recommendation.

For each task, be sure to analyze the relevant law, apply the facts to the law, and make a conclusion.

The paper

  • Must be 8 to 10 double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center (Links to an external site.).

  • Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought. That is, describe what your response is to the content, either positive or negative, and defend your position. If multiple options, alternatives, and/or positions are present and are being rejected, you must also defend the reasons for rejecting an option.
  • Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
  • Must include at least five scholarly sources, two of which must be from the Ashford University Library, in addition to the course text.
  • Must document all sources in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Negotiation and Conflict Resolution(Response2)

Discussion 1-2by Sahithi Sri Peddi – Saturday, 25 August 2018, 12:58 AM

The strategies and tactics of distributive bargaining are what negotiation is all about. Others are repelled by distributive bargaining and would rather walk away than negotiate this way they argue that distributive bargaining is old fashioned, needlessly, confrontational and destructive.

There are three reasons that every negotiator should be familiar with Distributive Bargaining. First, negotiators face some interdependent situations, that are distributive, and to do well in them, they need to understand how they work. Second, because many people use Distributive Bargaining strategies and tactics almost exclusively, all negotiators need to understand how to counter their effects. Third, every negotiate situation has the potential to require Distributive Bargaining skills when at the “claiming value” stage.

Understanding Distributive Bargaining strategies and tactics is important and useful, but negotiators need to recognize that these tactics can also be counterproductive and costly. Often they cause negotiating parties to focus so much on their differences that they ignore what they have in common.

These negative effects notwithstanding, Distributive Bargaining strategies and tactics are quite useful when a negotiator wants to maximize the value obtained in a single deal, when the relationship with the other party is not important, and when they are at the claiming value stage negotiation. Before negotiation, both parties to a negotiation should establish their starting, target and resistance point. Starting points are often in the opening statements each party makes (i.e. the seller’s listing price and the buyer’s offer). The target point is usually learned or inferred as negotiations get under way. People typically give up the margin between their starting points and target points as they make concessions.

Competency

Analyze how Big Data and data collection from external sources can present opportunities for business intelligence.

Instructions

You work for a tourism board at a top destination within the United States that among other tasks, sends information out to potential visitors, provides advertising for the destination, sells tickets to local events and parks, and helps drive economic growth by attracting visitors. The marketing team for your organization has decided to try and leverage mobile devices and tablets to improve information searches and retrieval for the visitors easier, as well as try and collect more information on patterns of consumer behavior. The marketing team has asked for your assistance as you are well versed in these areas. One of the artifacts your organization produces is a printed visitor’s guide that contains a directory of local businesses, parks, events, attractions, restaurants, and much more. There is a fold-out map to help with local navigation, various coupons for local vendors, and some subscription forms for different local publications that are available for mailing, some at no charge, and others for a small fee.It is decided that a mobile application available for smartphones and tablets may be a great alternative or possibly even a replacement for the older, traditional approach of producing these costly physical pamphlet books and materials. However, the head of the Publications Department is not convinced of the value of leveraging mobile technologies for information sharing and data gathering.

The questions they are presenting you with include:

  • Why are mobile technologies useful to organizations in gathering data and information?
  • How might this application look? What would be included?
  • Are there any other ways that the organization can leverage mobile technologies to attract visitors, Increase ticket sales and improve the economy of the region?

The task:

Record a presentation using the screen sharing Webware/software of your choice (an Internet search will reveal many free options). Your presentation can be recorded with your own voiceover and visuals, just as you would if you were giving the presentation live.Your memo to the head of publications and the management team should explain how and why a mobile version of the printed visitor guide can provide an opportunity for data collection rather than just presenting the reader with information. Your report should express how the existing pieces of the visitor guide could be converted, as well as any other possible opportunities for integration and collection of data such as social media.

social problems essay

Question A: Determine if sexism plays a part in college major and career choices for males and females.

Research shows that male and female college students often major in different fields. For example, males major in architecture and computer science while females major in psychology and education. Create an informal survey to distribute to a random sample of both male and female students (at least 30) at your college asking specifically why they decided on their major, if you can. Compile data and share with the class. Determine if sexism plays a part in college major and career choices for males and females.

Question B: Should the Federal Government Step in and Regulate Pay?

The global recession that began in December 2007 has been described as, “one of the most difficult financial and economic episodes in modern history” by U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernake. Millions of people around the globe have either lost their jobs and/or have had hours and benefits cut. Millions globally have also lost a large portion of their retirement funds and in most cases have also lost significant equity in their homes. Meanwhile as been reported in the media, Chief Executor Officers (CEOs) of the world’s largest companies continue to receive extravagant bonuses even though their company profits have plummeted and many of their employees have been laid off or fired due to the “bottom line.” Is this ethical? Why or why not? Should anything be done about this (e.g., should the federal government step in and regulate pay)?

Question C: Why are the elderly often marginalized, mistreated, and overall not respected in American society?

Why are the elderly often marginalized, mistreated, and overall not respected in American society? Compare this to how other cultures treat their elderly. For example, experts predicted that in 2017 tax revenues needed to cover Social Security benefits will run out. What do you suppose will be the ramifications of this reality for both the elderly and youth populations. What are some suggestions, from a Sociological perspective, to this lingering social problem. Are we just putting a temporary bandage on the problem?

What should the government do?

RESEARCH PAPER GUIDE(Your Subject Here)

HISTORY 1301-1302(The Course You are Taking)

JOE L. MCCAMBRIDGE(Your Name)

Your Research Paper heading should be presented as this paper is set up, the research title, class section and your name, centered on separate single spaced lines. There is no need for a cover sheet or folder cover for this effort. Unlike this guide your paper should be double spaced between lines. This paper must be typed or word-processed to be accepted. Students will employ fonts no smaller than 8 (elite) or larger than 12 (pica) for the type size of the presentation. This assignment is a minimum of 1000 words.

The first paragraph will define the Who, What, When and Where of the assigned subject in no less than two or more than four sentences. I want sharp, clear concise sentences and proper grammar structure. Try to keep the sentence length at less than a maximum of fifteen words. Please refrain from employing endless sentences and incorrect grammar. Employ spell check and grammar check and try to utilize the Writing Center to assist in structure and editing of the effort

.

Paragraph two should cite and explain the reason Why of the subject according to the textbook. In citing sources for this effort I want the title, author, copyright date and publishing house named. This paragraph should run no more than four sentences of direct material or less.

Paragraph three should present the methods of How the effort or action was undertaken according to the text source. Each of these sentences describing How the effort is undertaken should be like the lead sentence of a new paragraph. You must have a minimum of three how’s and more if available.

Paragraph four should define the Result according to the textbook. Limit this to three sentences.

Paragraph five should employ the same format as paragraph two to cite and describe the Why from the Second College Level Primary Source.

Paragraph six needs to define the methods How from the Second Source in the order the author provides. Often the same reasons are given for how a structure or event took place but the order is different and this affects the context of the paper and the result.

Paragraph seven needs to explain the Result as defined from the second source.

Paragraph eight defines the Why from your third primary source.  Again employ the structure of the second and fifth paragraph to cite this source and define it.

Paragraph nine defines the How of the third source in the order and context presented.

Paragraph ten explains the result according to the third source as structured in paragraphs four and seven.

Paragraph eleven defines your interpretation of the resources. “According to my evaluation of the data and reflection X Source correctly defines the material assigned to my satisfaction. Therefore this is my defense of my selection” if you have selected one source. If no one source defines the assignment employ “According to my evaluation of the data and reflection no one source correctly defines the materials assigned to my satisfaction. Therefore this is my interpretation of the assigned materials.”

Paragraph twelve presents either your defense of the selection of your interpretation according to your research. A DEFENSE Three defined reasons in three separate sentences why you selected the material defining the subject assigned. Two reasons for why each of the other resources was not able to explain the subject properly. Or AN INTERPRETATION (not exact) Your why, how’s in the order you find them relevant and the most important result you have discovered from the subject assigned as you see them using the filter of rational thought. Generally you will find that you cannot meet the requirements of the paper in less than five pages of work and certainly need no more than ten pages to complete the effort. Stay concise and define specific reasons for your selections and define each how in a declarative sentence. Don’t through data at the effort. Provide direct and simple interpretations so that a clear summation is achieved. Good luck and maintain this goal, if you cannot explain it you cannot employ it. This is a critical thinking effort that requires you make determinations according to your research and what you have determined from the resources you have gathered.

Clinical Field Experience B: Observation of Learning Environments: Small Group Instruction

The ability to effectively manage a classroom and meet the behavior and instructional needs of students both with and without disabilities is complex. Use this part of your field experience to work hands-on with students.

Allocate at least 5 hours in the field to support this assignment.

Continue to observe and collaborate with your mentor teacher on the elements that help create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment outlined in Clinical Field Experience A. With the assistance of your mentor teacher, select a small group or whole group activity you could lead.

Use any remaining field experience hours to assist the teacher in providing instruction and support to the class.

In 500-750 words, write a summary about your experiences leading the whole or small group of students through an activity. The following information should be addressed in your summary:

  • The transitions used to get students ready to begin the activity
  • The learning objective for the activity
  • How you assessed student learning for the objective
  • Strategies you used to engage students in the lesson
  • Verbal and nonverbal cues you used to redirect students and keep them engaged
  • Any collaboration you had with paraprofessionals and volunteers
  • What went well during the activity
  • What you would change In addition, discuss whether or not this field experience activity affirmed your choice of grade level and setting that you may want to teach in the future and support this with examples from the experience that led you to make this conclusion. Explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
