Research Paper Draft

After you have written your outline, you will initiate work on the first draft of your paper. While the draft is not expected to include all of the points that you will have in your final paper, it must provide enough detail so that the general scope and depth of the final paper is clear. Your final paper must be at least 1,800 words and include six or more credible sources. Two of the resources must be from academic journals.

Your first draft must include the following four sections:

  • An introduction that introduces the selected topic and discusses how the analysis was conducted.
  • A literature review that provides a detailed summary of the economic circumstances and facts that serve as the foundation of the economic analysis.
  • A narrative body that includes:
    • An economic analysis that uses the tools developed in the course along with your graphical depiction of the economics applied to your topic. Provide an explanation of the graphical analysis. Don’t leave it to the reader to figure out your intention. The specific analysis will depend on your chosen topic.
    • Statistics that support your topic and narrative.
  • Conclusion and a brief summary.

Use current APA formatting for your paper including these elements:

  • Title page
  • Page numbers
  • Headings
  • Source citations
  • Reference list

An abstract and table of contents are not required.

Remember to use the Eaglet and APA resources

Pestle Analysis Powerpoint

PESTLE Analysis PowerPoint

Overview

Access to care, the quality of care, and the cost of care are the top areas that hospitals are working to improve. The cost of health care and financing health care results in a national health care expenditure and sources of payment must be investigated. Health care costs are also inextricably bound to quality issues and, therefore, quality initiatives are linked to health care spending.

National Health Expenditures (NHE) and trends are reported annually by the National Center for Health Statistics of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Office of the Actuary, the National Health Statistics Group, the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The expenditures are reported and tracked over time using a standard format that identifies both the private and public sources of funds as well as the objects of expense. Reports are issued annually, two years following the closure of the reporting period. See Table 8-1 in the textbook.

In 2014, NHE totaled more than 3.0 trillion dollars, 17.5 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and that equates to approximately 9,523 dollars per person (see Figure 8-1). There are a number of interrelated factors that contribute to health care expenditures. These include aging population; new drugs and medical and diagnostic technology; emphasis on speciality medicine; large numbers of uninsured and underinsured; volume-based reimbursement incentives; and labor intensity.

Scenario

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of We Care Hospital, you receive a call from the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who requests that the two of you work together on a health care spending project. Your first task is to conduct a PESTLE analysis. Use Critical Thinking Skills and Metacognition to research current events in the macro environment. Then, prepare a Microsoft PowerPoint 10-slide narrative using a PESTLE analysis. A PESTLE Analysisidentifies political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental factors.

Instructions

discussion part II

Yes, I believe Stanley Milgram’s Study of Disobedience is unethical. I believe it is unethical for a few reasons. One reason is that he clearly manipulated those who participated in the study. He did this by when he had those participating draws from the hat to determine the role. In which the participants did not know the roles were rigged up front. “…the participant was always the teacher and Mr. Wallace (the confederate) was always the learner (Gross, 2006)”. It was also mentioned to those participating while doing the study that withdraws was not possible. This was another form of manipulation used by Stanley. He also conducted the study at Yale which led participants to believe they were really involved in something prestigious.       In the Journal of Science and Engineering Ethics, written by Dan Macarthur, he starts out by saying if Milgram were to attempt to perform any of these studies he did back in the 1960’s they would not be approved by the ethics board (McArthur, 2009). “The reasons for this are well known among social scientists and applied ethicists (McArthur, 2009)”. “The research subjects were subjected to psychological harm without appreciating the risks from the beginning, deception was used without what today would count as acceptable debriefing and so on (McArthur, 2009)”. Regardless of whether, or not there was a high level of ethics set back then he knew what he was doing. Setting the situation for the study at Yale made the test subjects trust him which was completely wrong.

Annotated Bibliography: What is the impact of high intensity interval training for fat loss?

This activity builds on the material you should be familiar with from your prerequisite English course.

Your assignment is to prepare an annotated bibliography for your research project following the instructions.

You will use the resources you find for this assignment in the upcoming Literature Review Draft assignment as well as the Research Methodology and Analysis Report assignment. As you search for references in this assignment, keep in mind that the Literature Review and Research Methodology assignments will involve building on your research question(s) and designing a methodology to answer that question.

Note: You will need to refer to your APA manual for the formatting of different types of references. It is important that you pay close attention to formatting requirements.

Submit

This activity has two parts: the List of Sources and the Annotations.

Please read through all sections before proceeding to the next page, and refer back whenever necessary.

The list of sources must contain the following:

  • The subject of your research, which you must state at the top of the page.
  • Ten sources of information about your subject, including:
    • Minimum of one book
    • Minimum of four articles from the Hunt Library databases
    • Minimum of two scholarly articles

The annotation for each source has two parts:

  • A short summary (one to three sentences) of the information found in the source.
  • An evaluation of the source’s credibility, reliability, currency, possible bias, and usefulness with respect to your topic. Review the following example as well as the rubric associated with this assignment for more detailed grading information.

Note: Wikipedia is not an acceptable source for scholarly work. Do not use Wikipedia as a source for this or any academic assignment.

All sources must be correctly documented in the current APA style. In addition, the entire reference list must be correctly formatted in the current APA style.

Please proceed to the Annotations section.

Prepare a document for your Annotated Bibliography to submit by the end of the module week. Be sure to address all of the required elements listed thoroughly. Your document is required to be in current APA format and free of grammar and spelling errors.

Your paper will automatically be evaluated through Turnitin when you submit your assignment in this activity. Turnitin is a service that checks your work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by comparing it against a database of web pages, student papers, and articles from academic books and publications. Ensure that your work is entirely your own and that you have not plagiarized any material!

You are submitting your paper as a draft to Turnitin so that you can check the originality report, but the paper will not be stored in the Turnitin repository at this time.

Save your assignment using a naming convention that includes your first and last name and the activity number (or description). Do not add punctuation or special characters.

week 9 assignment cutual activity

  1. Due DateMonday, June 7, 20219:00 AMPoints Possible125
  2. Cultural Activity Report
    Instructions
Visit a museum or art gallery before the end of Week 9, and complete Option 1: Visit a Museum. If you are unable to get to a museum or gallery within your area, complete Option 2: Create and Curate Your Own Art Museum as an alternative assignment (see for both options below). The museum or gallery you visit (Option 1) or create (Option 2) should contain art or artifacts from the time period you are studying in this course.
    Option 1: Visit a Museum
Write a 2–3 page report of 500–750 words that describes your experience.

    • Visit a museum or gallery near you. Select a minimum of 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists from different time periods discussed in the text, from the 18th century to modern times.
    • Clearly identify the location, date attended, and your initial reaction upon arriving at the museum or gallery.
    • Provide a description and summary of at least 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists.
    • Provide a photograph of each selected piece if the venue allows it. (Some museums strictly prohibit photography.)
    • Explain your initial reaction to the artwork you selected and explain why you chose each piece.
    • Describe the role of museum founder and curator.
    • Use the class text as a reference (additional sources are fine but not necessary unless required by your content). Your report should include connections you make between things observed in your activity and things learned in the course and text.
    • Here are some tips about visiting a museum in person:
    • It makes sense to approach a museum the way a seasoned traveler approaches visiting a city for the first time. Find out what museums are accessible to you and have exhibits that intrigue you.
    • Find out what sort of exhibitions are currently housed in the museum you select. When you go, start with the exhibits that interest you or, if there is a traveling exhibition, look at that first. Then later, if you have time, you can check out other exhibits.
    • Keep in mind that the quality of your experience is not measured by the amount of time you spend in the galleries or the number of works of art that you see.
    • Your goal is to find 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists who intrigue you, and then consider those works in leisurely contemplation. Most museums have benches where you can sit and study a particular piece. Take notes while you are there.
    • Option 2: Create and Curate Your Own Art Museum
This is an alternative option to visiting a museum or art gallery. For this option, select and curate 5–10 works of art to include in your own art museum. Use your textbook and online sources to help you find these works of art. A good resource for this assignment is the Google Arts and Culture website from the Google Cultural Institute. Here you can immerse yourself in cultural experiences across art, history and wonders of the world—from more than a thousand museums across 70 countries.
Write a 2–3 page report of 500–750 words that describes your experience.
    • Select a minimum of 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists from different time periods discussed in the text, from the 18th century to modern times.
    • Clearly identify the location of the museum and your initial reaction when exploring the artwork in the online museum or gallery.
    • Provide a description and summary of at least 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists.
    • Include a screenshot of each piece.
    • Note: The same rubric will be used for both options. In one section of the rubric, you are graded on your discussion of the role of the founder and curator of the museum. For Option 1, you will likely find this information on the museum website or in museum materials. For Option 2, the roles of museum founder and curator are held by you.
      Additional Requirements
    • This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards. For assistance and information, please refer to the Strayer Writing Standards link in the left-hand menu of your course. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
    • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, your name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
    • Review the rubric to see how your assignment will be graded on answer quality, logic and organization of the paper, and language and writing skills.
    • The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is:
    • Describe historical works of art, including their displays and locations.

Time value analysis has many applications. For example, you use time value of money concepts in valuing stocks and bonds, establishing loan payment schedules, and deciding whether or not to invest in a new plant and/or equipment. As one of the more important topics in finance, time value of money underlies many other concepts covered in this course, so it is very important to not only understand the concept, but also to be able to compute time value of money problems that involve compounding and discounting skills.

For this Assignment:

Think of four examples in your organization or from your personal life, or a combination of both, that demonstrate the following:

  • Present Value (PV) of a lump sum
  • Future Value (FV) of a lump sum
  • Present Value (PV) of an annuity
  • Future Value (FV) of an annuity

Explain your examples, including why they are relevant to your organization and/or personal life. Provide a rationale for interest or discount rates used in your examples.

Your paper should be at least 2 pages, not including Excel output. Use appendices for showing your Excel output. Be sure to have a conclusions section that documents what you learned from this exercise. Finally, be sure to use citations and related reference materials as appropriate.

Must be APA format so the word document 1 to 2 pages with filling out the excel sheet.

FIN320:topic;Analysis of a large commercial bank’s quarterly earnings

Article (Draft and Submission) FIN320 has a writing requirement. In my section, I encourage students to choose a topic based on their personal or career interests. The project is a group assignment, so you will need to self-select into a group of 2 or 3 (note that there will be a slightly higher standard for groups of 3). I recommend forming a group around a topic idea. A draft of the article must be submitted for review mid-quarter (Article Draft) and a final version submitted for grading at the end of the quarter (Article Submission). The goal is to produce a piece of written analysis (1000 to 1500 words) that could be submitted to SeekingAlpha. The format should be similar to analysis articles found in SeekingAlpha. My goal is to help several students publish their work online. This is not an academic essay or a summary piece. This is a short written “analysis” on a particular market, institution, event, or topic. It should start with a short question or statement that draws the reader in. It should then put forward an investment thesis: a statement that takes a position (i.e., argument). The rest of the article is the analysis to support this position. This is not a “stock picking” class, but market ETFs are good investments for macro strategies. The analysis should also include a chart (one or two) that is an original creation of the students. The chart is key to article, because it should be a picture that “tells the story.” In other words, it should directly relate to the thesis of the article. 4 Ideally, it would even help make the argument. In the process of determining the idea for the article, students should think about how to collect data to produce the chart. Deciding on the right chart is critical to a successful article. Grading of the draft will take into consideration the quality of analysis as well as the quality of organization and communication. Grading of the final submission will be based on the response to my feedback. I encourage each group to seek input from me at each stage of the project, from initial idea to execution. This will also help me gauge each group members’ contribution.
