Describe the methods that could be used to monitor the performance of the three marketing objectives. Provide rationale. (slides 7–8)

You are the regional marketing director of a theme park in the southeastern United States that is part of a global brand. The chief marketing officer of global operations has called upon you to help coordinate the marketing tasks related to rolling out an emergency response to a recent safety and injury incident at one of the parks that resulted in serious injuries to employees and customers. This theme park was closed immediately following the incident to ensure safety measures for customers and employees and to deploy the needed safety measures.

Now, as the theme park is all set to reopen, the CMO has called you to take a lead in planning the marketing strategy to support the reopening of the park. Your responsibility is to design a phased  strategy for reopening all parks, with critical objectives such as maximum safety, crisis communication, customer satisfaction, and profit potential. You must coordinate marketing strategy with corporate strategy, as failed or successful planning will impact brand success and recognition.

You have determined the scope of work and have outlined the high-level plan. As a first step, you decided to perform the brand analysis and identification of critical elements to successfully market the reopening of the park. Based on the outcomes, you developed a  customizable marketing strategy template that can be used by other theme parks under the same umbrella.

Next, you need to create a presentation (toolkit) to share your analysis and recommendations for the proposed marketing support of the park. But, as you are working to complete the final bit of the toolkit,  your social media monitoring partner shares a report of the theme park’s social media image and performance. The report shows a significant spike in negative public feedback. The report states there is the perception of an uncaring, careless brand forcing a reopening for profit. Your presentation should also include strategies for how you will address the emerging negative perception on social media about the theme park. You will show this presentation to your CMO and other  regional marketing directors of the park

Measuring Your Strategic Marketing Plan’s Success

    2. Traditional marketing strategy
    3. Communications and public relations strategy
    4. Event marketing strategy

Monitoring Your Marketing Strategy— In this part of the project, you will explain how you will monitor the performance of your strategy. Your presentation should include the following critical  factors:

  1. Identify three SMART marketing objectives and describe how they align with safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability. (slide 5)
  2. Identify one KPI that can be used for each of the marketing objectives. (slide 6)
  3. Describe the methods that could be used to monitor the performance of the three marketing objectives. Provide rationale. (slides 7–8)
  4. Using plan-do-check-act (PDCA) methodology, provides a continuous improvement process or preserving brand identity and reputation. (slides 9–10)
  5. Describe two marketing strategies to address negative public feedback on social media. (slides 11–12)

EOP Project

EOP-3 and EOP-4Project Descriptions

EOP-3 and EOP-4 task you to examine the path (trajectory) that has resulted in the current state of a consumer or industrial product. You are asked to tell the story of how this product came to exist in its current form.

Selected Product: Bidet

1. Synthesize a large amount of information to create a compelling narrative

2. Relate your product to the user needs they satisfy, starting with the fundamental human need and progressing to modern needs. To do so, you need to address:

· Dimensions of Value: what the dimensions of value are/were, how the dimensions changed, how the ability of the product to satisfy those dimensions changed.

3. Apply concepts from class to illustrate the what, why, how, when, and in what context these changes took place. For example:

· Type of innovation (radical/incremental, process/product, component/architecture, competence-enhancing/competence-destroying)

· Sources of innovation: the people and organizations and how their collaborations and competitions influenced the development

· Externalitites: changes due to complementary goods and services, installed base; the availability of enabling technologies

· Dominant Design: emergence of standards, a dominant product architecture, or a clear winner in a competition

· Context Factors: Social, economic, political, or other factors that affected the trajectory

You don’t need to address all of these for every inflection point – but you should discuss the nature of the change and the factors driving it.

EOP-3 (3-5 page):Trajectory Analysis summarizing the evolution of the product from ancient times to modern day.

You can implement your project however you like. These instructions are one way to do so. Please note that your report needs to follow the structure set up in the table above – the order of the steps below is a suggestion on how to develop the information that will go in each section.

Step 1. Establish the end-points of your trajectory

a. Select a modern-day product and establish the end-point of your trajectory. The end-point is the most advanced version of the product currently available on the market.

b. Identify the first point where a recognizable version of this product came into existence. This is likely to be sometime in the last 200 years, but could be as little as 60 years ago.

Step 2. Identify inflection points

Working backwards from your end product:

a. Identify major changes that occurred in the evolution of the product. Rely on your personal experience with the product. Talk to your parents, grandparents about how the product evolved over their lifetime. Fill in any blanks with research.

b. Create a time-ordered list (or timeline) of these changes. Eliminate any that branch off from the path between your end-points.

c. Select the most important (or most interesting) inflection points along your timeline. While these will most likely be due to advances in technology, they can also be due to social/economic/political changes (e.g., regulation/deregulation, industry standardization, major product failures/accidents, environmental concerns, new manufacturing process)

Step 3. Analyze the Inflection Points

For each inflection point:

a. Describe the major change that occurred

b. Analyze the reason for the change with respect to relevant factors, e.g., dimensions of value, type of innovation, source of innovation, externalities, emergence of a dominant design, contextual factors.

c. List the major points you need to make relevant to the inflection point

d. For each major point, identify the supporting rationale and details for that point

Step 4. Write the Inflection Point Paragraphs (1-3 paragraphs per point)

For each inflection point:

a. Place your major points in order so that there is a logical flow between points

b. Convert your list to paragraphs, where each paragraph consist of:

· A topic sentence (thesis statement) that clearly states your main point

· 2-4 supporting sentences that provide your rationale or additional detail

Step 5. Analyze the Pre-Product Evolution

a. Determine the fundamental human need this product satisfies. Think back to ancient times and how this need was satisfied then.

b. Identify changes in how people satisfied the need leading up to the emergence of your “product.” This can be done with very broad strokes – it does not need to be as detailed as the inflection points.

EOP-4 (5-6 minute presentation): present your product trajectory and analysis. Synthesize your material into a clear, concise presentation, emphasizing the use of graphical elements. Your presentation must include a Time Line graphic showing the evolution of the product over time.

In the work world, it is a valuable skill to be able to synthesize large volumes of information and present it in a clear and concise way. It is also extremely important to create graphics to represent your work. The grade for EOP-4 will be based on:

· Quality of the Timeline Graphic: visually pleasing, captures all key inflection/divergence points, accurately conveys passage of time, incorporates relevant images, tells the overall story without requiring words (beyond simple labels)

· Quality of Other Graphics: visually pleasing, clear & easy to understand points, good balance of text/graphics/white space, enhances the narration

· Narrative Flow: tells the story of the evolution in a smooth, logical, clear and interesting way.

· Penalty Points:

· Exceeding or not reaching the target time (presentation must be between 5-6 minutes)

· Typos, grammar errors, not following required format for ppts

Chemistry help

The goal of your Signature Assignment is to show that you can compute properties of solutions and analyze and interpret data. You will create a PowerPoint presentation that shows the process of going through an acid/base titration like you would if you were in a physical lab.

Your lab assignment presentation involves putting together a PowerPoint presentation to show other students on how to perform titration. In other words, your presentation can be used to show other students (next term) how they can perform a titration by following your instructions and calculations.

To do this presentation (minimum 6 slides, in PPT), we are giving you the type of acid, acetic acid, the type of base, NaOH to be used, and you will use phenolphthalein as the indicator. You will create a mock titration experiment and use your own hypothetical data (volume of vinegar, Molarity of NaOH and volume of NaOH for three trials) to solve the titration calculations (consult me, if you are in doubt). At the end of your presentation, you will show the unknown concentration of the acetic acid (Molarity) and will also show the % mass/vol of the Vinegar solution (as you have done for Week 7 Lab Manual Assignment).

• Your presentation must consist of more than merely a series of bullet points to earn full credit

• Remember, you want to teach your peers how to do titration experiment and the calculations. Your experiment should be reproduced it with ease.

• Use the Notes section for each slide to fully explain your answers, if necessary.

• TurnItIn will be used, so paraphrase where necessary to avoid plagiarizing.

• Grading: See rubric for specific grading criteria (in My Grades). You will be graded based on the rubric; therefore, carefully read it before you start creating your assignment. Remember it is 100 points, so your work must show quality and effort.

To include in your PPT presentation:

Part 1

• Title page

• Purpose of a titration, what is titration and why do we perform a titration?

• Include your thoughts on why understanding acid/base titration is important to your future career, and how you will use this concept as you complete your degree (at least 5 sentences and examples).

• Instrumentation – what are the instruments, glassware used when performing a titration.

• Chemicals and Procedures. What chemicals are needed? List and explain the procedures for this experiment (refer to Lab Manual pages 227-230)

◦ Your base concentration must have 3 decimals and your acid volume must have at least 1 decimal. Buret readings will give you two decimals.

• Observations and expectations – List the observations and write your expectations. This might include color change and when the equivalence point (endpoint) might be reached.

Part 2

• Calculations and Results. Show all your step-by-step calculations and write your results, the Molarity of the acetic and the % of the acetic acid.

◦ HINT: use Part A on page 233 as a template

◦ Remember sig figs in calculations to properly express your final answers (molarity and % mass):

▪ addition/subtraction -> fewest decimals

▪ multiplication/division -> fewest sig figs

• Reference page (in proper APA format)

For help and videos:

• Your instructor will provide guidance and examples for completing calculations for titration.

▪ Helpful links to study from week 7

This assignment should be in current APA Style with both a title slide and a reference list that includes all of the sources used. At least two scholarly sources should be used (your textbook can be one of the sources). For proper referencing of your resources consult Library on Canvas, APA 7th Edition Guide.

Helpful materials and HINTS:

• Your chosen concentration of the base must have three decimals (e.g 0.100 M or 0.150 M or 0.200M, etc). Hint: sig figs for your future calculations

• Use graphics, diagrams, charts, tables and other visuals to illustrate your point and to make it more interactive.

• Your slides must be clear, concise, not too busy, and readable.

• Note: If you will use 50-mL burette for your procedure, you cannot use the volume of more than 50 mL of base for titration.

• You might add a picture of buret (figure or hand-drawn) that clearly shows the intervals. Remember to properly express your volume measurements with proper decimals (review week 1 and week 3 lab manual assignments).

• You must demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the titration concept and show complete and clear calculations with proper units and significant figures.

In approximately 3-4 slides, list ways that a Christian worldview (and other perspectives if you like) relate to or address this issue.

Data Mining

The primary objective of the project is to encourage you to explore and think about potential applications of the techniques you will learn in this class. This group project offers you an opportunity to apply your data mining knowledge to real-life data and to mine managerially-relevant insights.  Please note that this is a semester long

A final report/presentation (225 points) – a Microsoft PowerPoint document containing slides of the following types:

  1. Cover/Title
  2. Executive summary
  3. Project motivation/background
  4. Data description
  5. Data preparation activities
  6. Models used – at least three distinct techniques (with screenshots of related SAS EM output)
  7. Findings
  8. Managerial/business implications
  9. Conclusions
  10. References (if needed)

Here are a few additional things to consider.

  1. There is no Word document.  The report is in the form of a PowerPoint Presentation.
  2. Not just screenshots.  Because the report is a PowerPoint Presentation you may be tempted to just insert a bunch of screenshots.  I do want screenshots of models, results, etc. but they should be annotated so I have some sense of why they are there and what I am supposed to take from the slide.
  3. Keep it tight.  Fully explaining your final project in the form of a PowerPoint (without the benefit of being able to verbally explain during a presentation) should be hard.  You need to balance telling a good (and complete) story against generating excessive numbers of slides.  If you were presenting I would be looking for about 15 minutes of content.  Given that timeline, I would expect approximately 20 slides… this is a guideline and not an absolute, but please try and tell a complete and concise story.
  4. Tell a coherent story.  The story is important… I want to know what you did and why.  I want to know what models you ran and which was the best performer.  I also want to know what that model says and why that is important to the organization.
