 Assessment#2

Perform hypothesis testing on the differences between two groups and create an Excel document. Write a 2–3-page analysis of the results in a Word document and insert the results into this document.

Preparation

Download the Assessment 2 Dataset [XLSX].

The dataset contains the following variables:

  • clinic1 (total number of visits per month for clinic 1).
  • clinic2 (total number of visits per month for clinic 2).

Instructions

An investor needs to make a decision on whether to acquire one of two medical clinics based on their productivity, as measured by the total number of visits per month. You have been asked whether there is a significance difference in the total number of visits per month between clinic 1 and clinic 2.

For this assessment, perform hypothesis testing on the differences between two groups in the Assessment 2 Dataset. Create an appropriately labeled Excel document with your results. Also write an analysis of the results in a Word document. Insert the test results into this document (copied from the output file and pasted into a Word document). Refer to Copy From Excel to Another Office Program for instructions.

Submit both the Word document and the Excel file that shows the results.

Additional Requirements

Your assessment should meet the following requirements:

  • Written communication: Write clearly, accurately, and professionally, incorporating sources appropriately.
  • Length: 2–3 pages
  • Resources: Not required.
  • APA format: Cite your sources using current APA format.
  • Font and font size: Times Roman, 10 point.

Employment Law

For this assignment you will consider the following scenario:

In the nonunion facility where you work in a human resources (HR) role, there have been rumors of union-organizing activity. There are numerous reports of e-mails to hourly employees at their work e-mail addresses seeking support for union representation. Pamphlets detailing  workers’ rights and suggesting that voting in a union will increase pay and benefits have been distributed in various areas of the facility and in the parking areas.

As the human resources (HR) representative, the company’s management asks for your advice and guidance on whether a union has the right to contact workers through their work e-mail addresses and distribute pamphlets on company property. They want to know what the company can do to respond to these tactics and to the union’s message that it can enhance workers’ pay and benefits.

Prepare a proposal that includes your analysis and evidence-supported argument for the proper actions the company should take. Include the following in your paper:

  • Identify any governing labor laws as well as any historical influences, legal precedents, or decisions that apply to this situation.
  • Conduct an analysis of legality of the union-organizing actions, including communications using employer e-mail and distributing literature at the employer’s facility.
  • Propose a strategy that outlines the actions the company can and cannot take to limit or combat union-organizing actions.
  • Provide guidance on the messages and information employers can and cannot communicate in response to union organizing activity and legal risks associated with common tactics.

Your paper should be a minimum of two pages, not including the title and reference pages. You are required to use a minimum of three sources, one of which may be your textbook. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

The  critique needs to be at least 200 words, double space, which fits one page. Correct spelling, grammar and correct punctuation counts. (see critique guidelines for format example)

As you describe the visual art or performance, you will use at least 5 vocabulary words (from the ones we have studied or others you may know).

You may not repeat an art form (for example if you did a painting  for a previous critique, you cannot do another painting except for the extra credit critique which can be on any art form).

What to critique? Live activities such as plays (theater), concerts (classical or jazz), visual art works (painting, sculptures, etc.) or analyze a building (architecture).

For music, do not use contemporary music, classical and jazz are preferred (Broadway shows are acceptable). For performances, look for videos recorded “live” so that you can still experience some of the live components.

– Add a photo in the second page of the Word document.

– Attach a word document or pdf file (do not write it where it says “write submission”).

governmental task force NEED PLAGERISM REPORT

you are working for the research wing of the National Institute of Justice. You have been assigned to a governmental task force that is investigating murder and other violent crimes in the U.S. You have been asked to prepare a speech and brief the members of the Department of Justice with regard to your findings.

In your findings, you need to first differentiate between criminology and victimology. Some members of your audience do not know much about victimology so you need to be very detailed in your explanations.

You will also need to explain at least three different theories on victimization. Give the strengths and weaknesses of each theory that you choose.

Point out what the financial and psychological impacts are for murder victims or family members.

In addition to your speech, you need to create a chart that compares whether the U.S. has a higher or lower incidence of violent crime than U.K., Australia, South Africa, and Japan. Create this chart in Microsoft Excel.

Based on the analysis of your speech, answer the following questions in the same document where you have created the chart:

Does the U.S. have more violent crimes than other countries?

Do people’s lifestyles in the U.S. place them more at risk than in other countries, or does the U.S. simply have more motivated criminals? Which one do you agree with and why?

Nursing Termpaper outline and class discussion (APA format and zero plagiarism).

(A)

This is part 1 of your required term paper. In this part, you are to choose a topic as your focus. Choose a topic that will incorporate 3-4 of the concepts discussed within this course (such as ethics, leadership, communication, and quality) and write a short 50 word or less summary of what you plan to address. Then, develop an outline of information that you plan to include (Refer to the Outline Template and Grading Rubric). The provided outline template can be downloaded, and your information inserted into the outline. (see Outline Templates and Grading rubric attached below). Be sure to remove any wording that is not pertinent to your own work.

Topics to Choose from:

1.Healthy Work Environment; how methods to resolve conflicts in the workplace are developed. How might patient care be affected when conflicts are present among nursing staff?

2. Emergency preparedness and response; how it relates to an emergency health threat such as a bioterrorism incident or the current CPVID-19 pandemic. How might patient care be affected, and policies and procedures changed?

3. Latent Errors: discuss the factors that may lead to latent errors involving nurses. How might patient care be affected?

(B)

In this discussion forum, you assigned the responsibility of examining the Self-Care Deficit Theory of Dorothea Orem. Please apply Orem’s theory to the case scenario provided below. In your discussion, include the role of the nurse in providing care to this patient and appropriate interventions to be used to help him meet his needs. Be sure to provide a rationale for your actions/interventions.

Case Scenario:

George is a 70-year-old patient who has been assigned to you as his community-based nurse case manager. George has severe congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, and no family or social support. George had 15 admissions to the hospital and 35 visits to the emergency department this year from noncompliance with his medication and diet regimen. He receives a monthly social security check, which he spends on food, bingo, and medications (in that order)

Please refer to the Discussion Board rubric when writing your post. See attached below.

Assignment on Psychopharmacology

Therapy for Patients With Impulsive/Substance Use Disorders (SUD)

Impulsivity and compulsivity have a wide range of clinical presentations and often overlap with many other psychiatric disorders. Some individuals act without forethought and have difficulty saying “no” to certain things, such as using illicit drugs or spending money, whereas other individuals engage in compulsive behaviors with undesirable consequences. In some cases, these impulsive and compulsive behaviors also fuel issues with addiction. To effectively assess and treat patients, you must understand how these disorders differ as well as how their symptoms impact patients and their families.

This week, as you examine therapies for individuals with impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction, you explore the assessment and treatment of patients with these disorders. You also consider ethical and legal implications of these therapies.

Learning Objectives

Students will:

· Assess patient factors and history to develop personalized therapy plans for patients with impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction

· Analyze factors that influence pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes in patients requiring therapy for impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction

· Synthesize knowledge of providing care to patients presenting for impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction

· Analyze ethical and legal implications related to prescribing therapy for patients with impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction

Assignment: Assessing and Treating Patients With Impulsivity, Compulsivity, and Addiction

Impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction are challenging disorders for patients across the life span. Impulsivity is the inclination to act upon sudden urges or desires without considering potential consequences; patients often describe impulsivity as living in the present moment without regard to the future (MentalHelp.net, n.d.). Thus, these disorders often manifest as negative behaviors, resulting in adverse outcomes for patients. For example, compulsivity represents a behavior that an individual feels driven to perform to relieve anxiety (MentalHelp.net, n.d.). The presence of these behaviors often results in addiction, which represents the process of the transition from impulsive to compulsive behavior.

In your role as the psychiatric nurse practitioner (PNP), you have the opportunity to help patients address underlying causes of the disorders and overcome these behaviors. For this Assignment, as you examine the client case study in this week’s Learning Resources, consider how you might assess and treat clients presenting with impulsivity, compulsivity, and addiction.

Reference: MentalHelp.net. (n.d.). Impaired decision-making, impulsivity, and compulsivity: Addictions’ effect on the cerebral cortex. https://www.mentalhelp.net/addiction/impulsivity-and-compulsivity-addictions-effect-on-the-cerebral-cortex/

HIST 1302 Reflection Three

PROMPT: Post WWII prosperity in the United States centered on the suburban home, and the heart of the suburban home was the kitchen, a place Americans typically understood as the housewife’s domain.

The source for this activity consists of a 1955 promotional comedy “A Word to the Wives.” Funded by numerous corporations and industries that benefited from suburban homebuilding, the movie sought to make the argument that state-of-the-art appliances not only made women’s domestic duties easier, they raised the standards of home cooking and entertainment, and ushered in a modern suburban society that associated the home, rightly or wrongly, with leisure and entertainment than hard work.

Discuss the differences between the “modern kitchen” of the 1950s and the kitchens you know from your family life.

What are the major differences?

How realistically did the movie portray the suburban couples of the 1950s?

What is probable, and what is wishful thinking?

As you consider the kitchens of the 1950s versus your interpretation of a modern home today, what changes in design preferences tell you about gender relations, family structure, and cultural values?
