The article is attached below, please read it

Here is an example of what you should do:
(do not copy and paste this)

Hello class,

I hope all of you are doing well during these crazy times we are living.

This was a very interesting article, and also one that I am sure most of us can relate to. I believe most people find themselves in a position similar to the on described in the article where we fear to communicate something of importance because of how our managers may react to these; some of us have also been on the other side of the table, where someone might have not communicated something because they were afraid of a possible negative reaction from us.

As mentioned in the article, this is a serious problem regardless of which industry you work in; but when it happens in the healthcare industry it turns even more serious because there are lives at stake. This is an industry where many times it is crucial that individuals put their personal interest behind those of the consumer, as these people are patients that need the best attention they can get.

I definitely agree with this article. I specially agree with it when the author mentions that building a candid culture within an organization takes a lot of work, but that there is no other option if what we want is to do the right thing. Furthermore, in terms of efficiency in any industry, a toxic work environment makes everything go uphill and the results are never optimal. Transitioning to a pleasant work environment is a good way to get things running the way they should. Finally, I truly believe that good communication always translates to better performance.

Thank you for taking the time to read my opinion on the article, I can’t wait to read some of yours.

Regards,

Jose Adrianza.

Advanced Toxicology

The skin is one of the largest organs of the body. It is also the body’s first line of defense for protection against foreign agents and toxicants. Recall a time that you encountered an acute or chronic skin reaction from an environmental toxicant from the region in which you reside. What were the main symptoms of exposure? If you have never had such an experience, then discuss an environmental or industrial toxicant that is present in the region where you reside that may cause toxicity to the skin and the symptoms that might be expected. What do you think are the most effective safeguards against exposure to this toxicant?
ALSO PLEASE REPLY TO ANOTHER STUDENTS COMMENT BELOW WITH A POSITIVE RESPONSE

ROSE:

I live in central Illinois – When I first read about this, the first thought that came into my head was poison ivy. I know it is not restricted to my area alone. I have never had poison ivy, but my husband has. I guess my skin just does not react to it like others do. The oil that is in the leaves touches the skin, often times leaves a rash with blisters. My husban has thinner skin and he had gotten it all over his legs from walking in the bursh at the back end of our property. He legs were covered in red splotchy rash with blisters and he says that it is very itchy and can at some times be painful. I think that the most effective safeguard to put into place would be to make sure your skin is completely covered so that there is no exposure to the plant.

I find it interesting that some people are sensative to it while others are not. I question what makes this possible.. is it that we all have different oils in/on our skin that some it provides protection? I guess the same question could be asked why are some prople allergic to things while others arent.

Using Stack to Evaluate Expression

Using a Stack to Evaluate an Expression

We often deal with arithmetic expressions written in what is called infix notation:

         Operand1 op Operand2

We have rules to indicate which operations take precedence over others, and we often use parentheses to override those rules.

Example: Suppose we have this infix expression Q:

         5 * ( 6 + 2 ) – 12 / 4

We can use two stacks to evaluate the expression: a stack for operands, a stack for operators (and parenthesis). We can split the string into array of tokens.

  1. While there are still tokens to be read in,

   1.1 Get the next token.

   1.2 If the token is:

1.2.1 A number: push it onto the value stack.

1.2.2 A variable: get its value, and push onto the value stack.

1.2.3 A left parenthesis: push it onto the operator stack. You can also
choose to push the left parenthesis into the operand stack.

       1.2.4 A right parenthesis:

1 While the thing on top of the operator stack is not a

           left parenthesis,

1 Pop the operator from the operator stack.

2 Pop the value stack twice, getting two operands.

3 Apply the operator to the operands, in the correct order.

4 Push the result onto the value stack.

2 Pop the left parenthesis from the operator stack, and discard it.

1.2.5 An operator (call it thisOp):

1 While the operator stack is not empty, and the top thing on the

operator stack has the same or greater precedence as thisOp,

1 Pop the operator from the operator stack.

2 Pop the value stack twice, getting two operands.

3 Apply the operator to the operands, in the correct order.

4 Push the result onto the value stack.

2 Push thisOp onto the operator stack.

  1. While the operator stack is not empty,

1 Pop the operator from the operator stack.

2 Pop the value stack twice, getting two operands.

3 Apply the operator to the operands, in the correct order.

4 Push the result onto the value stack.

  1. At this point the operator stack should be empty, and the value

stack should have only one value in it, which is the final result.

Note: Pay attention to negative operator and parenthesis.

Requirements:

A-plus Writer

Using the information gathered from your SWOT analysis conducted in Unit II. Use the provided template (ATTACHED)

1) In the External Factors column, list at least six opportunities you saw in the company you researched. Underneath the opportunities, list at least six threats you saw in the company you researched.

2) In the Weight column, assign an importance factor to each of these issues. It is important to note that whenever working with weighted averages, the weight column should always total 1.0, or 100%, regardless of how many factors are included in the EFAS analysis. It is up to the analyst to decide how much weight each individual external factor is assigned based on the probable impact on a particular company’s current strategic position. The higher the weight, the more important the factor to the current and future success of the company. An important factor may have a weight of 0.5 (50%), while a less important factor may have a weight of .05 (5%). When all is finished, however, all factor weights should total 1.0, or 100%. You may not be privy to the exact information for this company, so in some cases you will need to use your best judgment. (You will justify your weighting in column five.)

3) In the Rating column, assign a rating factor from 5.0-1.0 (5.0 is outstanding; 1.0 is poor). These ratings are based on the company’s response to that particular factor. It is your judgment call on how the company is currently dealing with each specific factor. Once again, you may need to make an estimate in this area if you are not privy to all of the information. (You will justify your weighting in column five.)

4) In the Weighted Score column, multiply the weight from column 2 by the rating in column 3 to get the factor’s weighted score.

5) In the Comments column, explain why a particular factor was selected and how its weight and rating were estimated.

6) At the bottom of column 4, add the weighted scores for the external factors. Is the company doing better or worse than others in the same industry?

Complete this answer underneath your table. Format your assignment using APA Style. Use your own words, and include citations and references as needed to avoid plagiarism.

Need someone good expert in accounting and inventory case study

Case Study #3 – Inventory Management – Wagner Fabricating Company

Your answers to this case study will be due on Friday, 5 March 2021.

Managers at Wagner Fabricating Company are reviewing the economic feasibility of manufacturing a part that the company currently purchases from a supplier. Forecasted annual demand for the part is 3,200 units. Wagner operates 250 days a year.

Wagner’s financial analysis established a cost of Capital of 13% for the use of funds for investments within the company. In addition, over the past year $600,000 was the average investment in the company’s inventory. Accounting information shows that a total of $24,000 was spent on taxes and insurance related to the company’s inventory. In addition, an estimated $12,000 was lost due to inventory shrinkage, which included damaged goods as well as pilferage. A remaining $15,000 was spent on warehouse overhead, including utility expenses for heating and lighting.

An analysis of the purchasing operation shows that approximately two (2) hours are required to process and coordinate an order for the part regardless of the quantity ordered. Purchasing salaries average $28 per hour, including employee benefits. In addition, a detailed analysis of 125 orders showed that $2,375 was spent on telephone, paper, and postage directly related to the ordering process.

A one-week lead time is required to obtain the part from the supplier. An analysis of demand during the lead time shows it is approximately normally distributed with a mean of 64 units and a standard deviation of 10 units. Service level guidelines indicate that one stock-out per year is acceptable.

Currently, the company has a contract to purchase the part from a supplier at a cost of $18 per unit. However, over the past few months, the company’s production capacity has been expanded. As a result, excess capacity is now available in certain production departments, and the company is considering the alternative of producing the parts itself.

Forecasted utilization of equipment shows that production capacity will be available for the part being considered. The production capacity is available at the rate of 1,000 units per month, with up to five months of production time available. Management believes that with a two-week lead time, schedules can be arranged so that the part can be produced whenever needed. The demand during the two-week lead time is approximately normally distributed with a mean of 128 units and a standard deviation of 20 units. Production costs are expected to be $17 per part.

A concern of management is that setup costs will be significant. The total cost of labor and lost production time is estimated to be $50 per hour, and a full eight-hour shift will be needed to setup the equipment for producing the part.

Managerial Report

Develop a report for management of Wagner Fabricating that will address the question of whether the company should continue to purchase the part from the supplier or being to produce the part itself. Include the following factors in your report:

1. An analysis of the holding costs, including the appropriate annual holding cost rate

2. An analysis of ordering costs, including the appropriate cost per order from the supplier

3. An analysis of setup costs for the production operation

4. A development of the inventory policy for the following two(2) alternatives:

a. Ordering a fixed quantity Q from the supplier

b. Ordering a fixed quantity Q from in-plant production

5. Include the following in the policies of parts 4(a) and 4(b):

a. Optimal quantity Q*

b. Number of order or production runs per year

c. Cycle time

d. Reorder point

e. Amount of safety stock

f. Expected maximum inventory

g. Average inventory

h. Annual holding cost

i. Annual ordering cost

j. Annual cost of units purchased or manufactured

k. Total annual cost of the purchase policy and the total annual cost of the production policy

6. Make a recommendation as to whether the company should purchase or manufacture the part. What savings are associated with your recommendation as compared with the other alternative?
