Small Assignment

Applying the 4 P’s of Marketing

Your first assignment was based on a scenario. You will now use this same scenario to address the 4 P’s involved. Wherever you work, you can apply these 4 P’s concepts for a better understanding of the product or service provided by the organization.

Envirotruck scenario:

Envirotruck is a company that produces energy efficient all-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive trucks (twice as efficient as their competition’s) with ample clearance for construction and rough terrain applications in the U.S. and Canada. They have been in business for 2 years with much success delivering to their customers via rail. The trucks are priced competitively with other all-terrain vehicles and are promoted primarily via the Internet. They now have a roster of 100,000 clients that include major industrial clients. The problem the CEO sees looking toward the future is that each department seems to be operating as a distinct entity rather than cooperatively. A customer complains on LinkedIn® that they are thinking of trying the competition as they do not believe Envirotruck values their business. The CEO sees this comment and immediately calls a company meeting.

After you have practiced with the 4 P’s of marketing — the marketing mix — as reviewed in the learning activity address the following:

  • Based on research on the Internet and the unit assignment scenario, decide what the 4 P’s would be at Envirotruck.

LSS ASSIGNMENT

Many organizations have found that implementing lean concepts and tools results in improvements in environmental performance, even when lean activities were not initiated for environmental reasons since environmental savings are often not part of the “business case” for lean improvement activities.   However, organizations implementing lean do not necessarily quantify the environmental performance gains associated with their lean initiatives.   Here is a web site with examples of case studies showing environmental benefits that result from lean implementation.https://www.epa.gov/lean/case-studies-and-best-practicesVisit some other websites and study case studies in details.  Search for the Case Study you would like to write about.  To complete the assignment, you will select a case study, summarizing major points and answering the following questions:

  1. What is the selected business/organizaion? Give a brief company background, products, and location of headquarters.
  2. How were the efforts led?  Did leadership in the company empower employees? and how?
  3. What are tools/applications used in Lean Six Sigma implementation of this case?
  4. What were the business results?  Was it in environmental improvements, was it in quality or costs, was it in delivery, etc.?
  5. Conclusion and your recommendation. How the case can be improved for the better results; what is your proposed methods; and what tools/techniques can be applied in your method?

Your writing should be in 2-3 pages (Word document in Time New Roman 12, APA format, double space),

How Technology Impacts Policy Making and Public administration

How Technology Impacts Policy Making and Public administration

Living in the 21st century technology is used everyday to make an impact on everyone’s life. We constantly use technology to see and research everything, all our news, applications, and get messages across. We use our voices for technology and policymaking uses technology as well to relate their messages and receive feedback from what others believe in. Technology has been in our lives and so advanced where nothing is hidden or erased, everything we do stays in a cloud and can be traced back to someone. The use of technology in policy making can take a toll on our daily lives, it is where decisions are made and distributed to data collectors. We use technology to find what we should change and why.

  1. How technology takes effect on people
  2. Media
  3. Applications used
  4. Interconnectedness (globalization)
  5. Impact policy makers have to influence people
    1. Create/maintain public goods
    2. Informed by research community
    3. Advocates and allies influence decision
  6. Positive effects of technology
    1. Collects data
    2. Online health records, health tracking through apps
    3. Keeps the public informed

This is my essay outline and it must be 10 pages double spaced not including abstract or any graphs or other information and 12 point font in times new roman

short paper 2

So the goal of the second paper is to talk to someone you know about their political attitudes and then to analyze those attitudes using some of the concepts we’ve discussed in class. You should go back and watch the mini-lectures on public opinion and re-read the Ezra Klein article on moderate voters before you start working on the paper. So first you’ll pick someone to interview, and you’re welcome to do either an in-person interview with someone in your household or of course, a phone or a video interview with anyone that you like. Make sure to let the person know that you won’t be identifying who they are to me or to anyone else. And then, of course, to keep their information private. When you’re ready to do the interview, read the short introductory paragraph from the assignment sheet, and then ask the four specific questions outlined on the assignment. The interview will cover three issue areas: healthcare, immigration, and climate change. Make sure to take notes as you complete the interview so that you can remember everything that your interview subject said. The next step is to start analyzing your notes. Type up your notes, and start jotting down some initial ideas about how you would categorize each answer in terms of ideology and also whether the interview subject is consistent across the three issue areas. There are specific questions for you to think about on the assignment sheet. And finally, now you’re ready to actually write your paper. So the paper will have three specific sections and should be about two to three pages double-spaced. It definitely does not need to be longer than that. The first section will describe your interview itself, briefly describing the answers to the interview questions that your interview subject gave. Again, make sure you’re not including the person’s name or other identifying information. Next, you’ll discuss your interpretation and analysis of the interview, focusing on how you would categorize the interview subject’s ideology on each of the three policy questions, as well as whether the individual was consistent across the three areas. Finally, you’ll conclude with some thoughts on why the interview subject’s answers might or might not have been consistent, as well as how this interview fits into the broader literature on ideology and public opinion. This final section should NOT just be your personal opinion. It needs to explicitly reference concepts from the class session on public opinion — so the lectures, the reading, or both. When you’re ready to submit, proofread the paper, save it as a Word document, and post it to Canvas.

Review the following 2 cases separately. • Seaton v. TripAdvisor • Pietrylo v. Hillstone Restaurant Group

  Case Study Instructions

You will write a 4–5-page paper in current APA format that focuses on 2 case studies from each week’s reading. Each paper must include at least 4 references in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible. Each week there is a different set of cases for you to review. You must review them separately following the instructions below:

Module/Week 6:

Review the following 2 cases separately.

· Seaton v. TripAdvisor

· Pietrylo v. Hillstone Restaurant Group

1. State the facts of the case

  • What       happened in this case?
  • Who       are the parties?
  • What       motivated the parties to take this action?
  • List       the facts by level of importance.

2. Discuss      the Issue:  Discuss the issues or      problems presented by the case. The legal issue is the question of law on      which resolution of the case turns. An issue should be presented in the      form of a question. While most cases revolve around a legal issue, you      should also consider issues of public policy, values in conflict, and      practical reality. For example, a case study involving abortion might      involve the following issues:

  • Legal:       Is abortion legal? If so, under what circumstances?
  • Public       Policy: Should abortion be legal? Why or why not?
  • Values       in Conflict: Which value is more important, a woman’s right to privacy or       an unborn child’s right to life? Why?
  • Practical:       What are the options open to someone faced with an unwanted pregnancy?       Where can someone in this situation go for help and advice?

3. Discuss the Arguments:  Now that you have defined the facts and issues, develop and discuss the arguments that can be made for each of the various points of view. For example, what are the arguments, both Pro and Con, for each point of view, which side provides the most compelling argument, and why, and what are the consequences?

4. Conclusion:  Each of these cases has a court ruling. Do you      agree with the court’s decision (why or why not?). From a Christian      prospective, how does this decision impact Christianity and society? If      the impact is negative, what recommendations would you make to overcome      that impact?

5. References:
