A 47-year-old male patient (A) presents to your office c/o painful and bleeding defecation that started a couple of days ago. Pt also states that he noticed some intermittent pruritus on his back. Pt comes to your consultation accompanied by his male husband of 45 years old (Patient B), who suddenly states to you that he had noticed a painless “blister” on his genital area, but he is not quite sure when it appeared. Patient A: With no past or family relevant history and with no known allergies (NKA). Patient B: With a PMH of seasonal allergic rhinitis and NKA. No other family or relevant history. On complete physical examination of both patients your assessment reveals the following findings: On Patient A: You noticed a visible anal fissure in the inferior region of the anal sphincter. Besides, you also noticed disseminated papules in the trunk and macules on palms and soles (as shown below).  Patient B: On examination, you noticed a visible ulceration in the genital area, and patient denies any pain on palpation. On general assessment, no adenopathy noted or reported by patient (B).  Since both patients are a marital couple, you proceed with serological testing for each patient (A & B). You suspect a sexually transmitted disease. On your verbal assessment, both patients (A&B) deny having or being treating in the past for STD’s in the past, to which you believe. Lab Results: Patient A: Leukocytosis – Treponema (Positive) – Non-Treponema (Positive) – HIV (Negative) – Hepatitis (Negative) Patient B: Treponema (Positive) – Non-treponema (Negative) – HIV (negative) – Hepatitis (Negative) ——————— Do not include the above section in your paper. ONLY THE QUESTIONS BELOW——- Please answer the following questions in APA format and include in-text references. 1) What serological lab works would you order to obtain the above results? (Be specific with the lab names) 2) What is the diagnosis for Patient A? 3) What is the diagnosis for Patient B? 4) What would it be the differential diagnosis for patient A and patient B? (be specific. Your diagnosis contains stages. Therefore, be specific on them) 5) How are you going to treat Patient A? (Be specific and include the time of treatment) 6) How are you going to treat Patient B? (Be specific and include the time of treatment) 7) What would be the possible cause of this infection if both patients did not have any sexual encounter outside their relationship in the last year? Again, you believe both patients did not have any sexual encounter outside their marital sexual relationship.

Quiz 3

Question: Tocqueville argues that religious belief can be an antidote to the dangers or Democracy. Since his writing in the 1830s. in what ways has America’s religious belief proved Tocqueville right? Focus in particular on the struggle for rights for African Americans.

Essay quizzes should be between 300 and 400 words long, not including citations, restating the question, or including name and class identifiers. A double-spaced format is preferred.

⇢ The format should be relatively simple, but it should include an opening thesis statement that summarizes the student’s answer to the prompt. The student should then make sure to provide arguments as to why they took the position that they did. The essay should conclude with a sentenced summarizing their arguments. Students should clearly address the prompt. They do not need to restate the prompt in their answer. While students are encouraged to exercise their freedom of opinion, they should strive to be respectful of classmates with opposing viewpoints.

⇢ Students wishing to cite outside sources should formally cite those sources at the end of their essay on a final page by itself. MLA format is preferred. Plagiarism is prohibited. Students should also make sure that quotes from source material should not take up more than 10% of the paper’s required length.

As a passionate psychiatry nurse, I picked my executive summary to be a suicide prevention program. Deaths by suicide have risen across the United States as reported by the Center for Disease Control in 2017. Suicide deaths are considered a crisis in the Mental Health profession. Suicide is not biased. It affects Caucasians, Africa-Americans, Indian, etc. It also affects the young, middle age, and elderly.  According to the CDC, over 45,000 reported suicides occurred in 2016 in the United States. Suicide was ranked the tenth
leading cause of death.

There needs to be more programs for suicide prevention that is readily available and ready to help. The State of Alabama has a suicide hotline and several programs but they are in the big cities and that is not feasible for people who live an hour or two away. There needs to be more help all people who suffer mental illnesses.

Comment 2

I would like to describe differing approaches of nursing leaders and managers to issues in practice when discussing nurse-staffing ratios. This is a big issue in the country because aside from California, legally mandated nurse-staffing ratios do not exist. When it is discussed in the hospital now, nursing supervisors discourage it by telling nurses that it is not all it’s cracked up to be. Some hospitals can go under due to the need to staff appropriately. When talking to a nurse who has worked under both situations, she has said that the cost of healthcare ends up declining in a good way because nurses are making less overworked mistakes and patient-satisfaction is up. This can be the big difference between managers and leaders in the big picture of things. Managers will listen to nursing complaints of being overworked beyond safe circumstances and the manager will simply say, “this is what you signed up for when you became a nurse,” like we’re soldiers complaining about being shot at when we chose to be a soldier. We signed up for nursing to care for patients and participate in the optimization of their help. Leaders will listen to nursing complaints and ask themselves what can they do to help. At the end of the day, if more people were leaders, nursing shortages may not exist. Nurses would be happier and stay in their positions longer.

What are social determinants of health? Explain how social determinants of health contribute to the development of disease.

 2 DQ 1

Social determinants of health include biological, environmental, social, and economic factors that influence the access and maintenance of health (Green, 2018). For example, those living in low socioeconomic areas may not have the resources to obtain fresh food and will oftentimes rely on fast food chains. According to a study posted by the American Journal of Preventive Medicine (2004), low-income areas had 2.5 times more fast-food chains than those living in more affluent areas. As a result of this many minorities living in low-income areas have a great risk of obesity and comorbidities such as type II diabetes and hypertension. While the study done by the American Journal of Preventive Medicine was more than five years ago the results of their study continue to be prevalent as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (2018) states children and adolescents are more likely to be obese than their higher-income counterparts. This is an example of how social determinants of health contribute to the development of disease. The child who has grown up with a poor diet is less likely to change their diet habits as adults resulting in fatal health conditions.

Social determinants also contribute to the spread of communicable diseases due to crowding, sanitization, uncontaminated water, and access to health care (Green,2018). The infectious disease process of communicable diseases is represented by the chain model also known as the chain of infection. The chain of infection begins with the infectious organism and describes how the organism reproduces and spreads through contact, droplets, or surfaces. As the nurse taking care of an individual with a communicable disease the simplest and most effective form of breaking the chain is by proper handwashing. The nurse can also contribute to the stop of the chain by wiping down surfaces with the proper cleaning agents, placing the appropriate PPE outside of the patient’s room, and clustering care to avoid excessive time inside of the patient’s room. All of these interventions contribute to the stop of the transmission phase of the chain model.

Using 200-300 words APA format with references to support the discussion.

What are social determinants of health?  Explain how social determinants of health contribute to the development of disease.  Describe the fundamental idea that the communicable disease chain model is designed to represent. Give an example of the steps a nurse can take to break the link within the communicable disease chain.

FROM SKYWATER WHITE,

According to the world population clock, birth occurs every 9 seconds and death occurs every 11 seconds in the U.S (Census, 2021). In the world, the population increases by one every second (Census, 2021). Overpopulation does seem threatening. There are two sides to this argument, and I believe that overpopulation does not need immediate action. I believe this is due to natural disasters, modernization (Ruse, 2021), the decline in natural fertility (Overpopulation Project, 2020), and the ratio of elderly to young people (Ruse, 2021), which proves that overpopulation does not require immediate action. The Earth is billions of years old and is proven to have many natural disasters that control overpopulation. As women’s education becomes more prevalent in modernization, more women are postponing children or not having any (Ruse, 2021). The official statistics of the United Nations (UN) show that the natural fertility rate has begun to decline (Ruse, 2021). They also state that in some countries the elderly generation is higher than the young generations (Ruse, 2021). The younger generation replaces the elderly. These are the reasons why I do not think overpopulation needs immediate action.

I live in Oregon, where there are lots of forests and mountains. In Oregon where I live, it is extremely green, and it rains a lot. We have many types of vegetation. According to the U.S. Forest Service, the climate in my ecosystem domain is humid, right before it hits the dry plains of Oregon (2021). The U.S. Forestry states that I live in the Marine division (2021). The province I live in is Cascade mixed forest- Coniferous forest Alpine meadow province (U.S. Forestry, 2021).

The results of my test shocked me. I could not believe that it would take four and a half Earths if everyone lived like me (Footprint Network, 2021). Which I sure, I am not the worst. It definitely has inspired me to try even harder to help save our planet. I found out that my footprint on the world is mostly due to gas. This affects everyone around the world because it maximizes global warming. Global warming is extremely threatening, especially with how much pollution we put out. The forests are important and should properly be maintained, maintained, so we do not have massive amounts of forest loss. At this point, I feel like there is little hope, but we can try to start the change now.

Interview #2

Minister Interviews Paper Instructions

Ministry is not a one-man enterprise. It is an undertaking that requires the involvement of a community. According to the Bible, God made each and every person in His image according to His likeness, yet you can look throughout the Bible and see that even though mankind is made in the image of God; God did not create one man to be a carbon copy of another man. Some men were made to be kings, some priests, some prophets, shepherds, etc. Consequently, everyone was made for a purpose, and, accordingly, man was and is responsible to fulfill that purpose. Being called into the ministry means that you help discover their purpose in life. However, in order to preach/teach most suitably, you need to be able to discover from others.

In order to be of value in preaching/teaching, the minister needs to have experience about the subject matter. Not only does the minister need to have experience (strong Christian background), but he also needs to have good content in his preaching/teaching. This content should be Spirit led and conducive for his listeners. In other words, the environment (no matter where) needs to be one so that it invites the listeners to learn. This seems to best take place with the initiation of a plan or scheme. How can anything (from a learning process) be accomplished without a plan? It is from the plan that the message is enabled to evolve. The approach to the message might vary, but it should be formatted in such a manner that the methodology of the minister is transparent. One of the paramount opportunities for a young minister (or any minister) is to be able to learn from other ministers. Experience is a valuable tool in any occupation, but especially in ministry.

These interviews were designed to help you become a better minister by learning from other ministers—hearing about their failures and successes in ministry. These papers should include 4 different interviews of ministers in your local area. These interviews should each be approximately 1 page in length for a total of 4 pages and should be accompanied by a properly formatted title page. The content of these interviews should start with a very brief description of the minister’s salvation experience and then include his call into the ministry. Moreover, these interviews should include a brief description of his view of ministry.

Remember, this paper is to follow Turabian guidelines and should be presented without any grammar or spelling errors.

White collar crime and political crime

Find a true example of people being arrested for a White Collar crime, a political crime, and a crime committed by someone in organized crime. In 1200 words, explain the following:

1. Briefly describe each of the crimes (who was involved, what the crime was, who the victim was, etc.)

2. Explain the outcome of each case, including the punishment and sentence given for each crime.

3. Explain if you feel the punishments for each of the crime were justified. Were the punishments for

any of the crimes not fitting the seriousness of the crime? Why are these three types of crimes

punished in the ways they are?

Use three to four scholarly resources to support your explanations.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success

Center. An abstract is not required.

SC101 assignment 3

Dear Students,

each question should be 250  words and cover all all questions please

Question 1

1. Watch this video:

$CANVAS_COURSE_REFERENCE$/modules/items/g1e4aef75adde4553f85b4aaba1d24b97

Summarize it.

2. In your textbook, check pages 33-40,

https://resources.saylor.org/wwwresources/archived/site/textbooks/OpenStax%20Sociology.pdf

Summarize it.

Do this afterwards:

Write down the first three steps of the scientific method. Think of a broad topic that you are interested in which
would make a good sociological study—for example, Are foreign students in the US learning more than those back home? Have  you experienced prejudice in the US? Or any other subject you feel comfortable to research. For each step, write a few
sentences or a paragraph: 1) Ask a question about the topic. 2) Do some research and write down the titles of some articles
or books you’d want to read about the topic. 3) Formulate a hypothesis.

Have this table (page 46) in mind:

Table 2.2 Main Sociological Research Methods

Sociological research methods have advantagesand disadvantages.

Method Implementation Advantages Challenges
Survey

Advantage:
• Questionnaires
• Interviews
• Yields many responses
• Can survey a large sample
• Quantitative data are easy to chart

Disadvantage:
• Can be time consuming
• Can be difficult to encourage
participant response
• Captures what people think and believe but not necessarily how they behave in real life.

Field Work
• Observation
• Participant observation
• Ethnography
• Case study
• Yields detailed, accurate real-life information

Disadvantages:
• Time consuming
• Data captures how people behave but
not what they think and believe
• Qualitative data is difficult to organize

Experiment
• Deliberate manipulation of social customs and mores.
• Tests cause and effect relationships

Disadvantages:
• Hawthorne Effect
• Ethical concerns about people’s wellbeing

Secondary Data Analysis
• Analysis of government data (census, health, crime statistics)
• Research of historic documents
• Makes good use of previous sociological information

Disadvantages:
• Data could be focused on a purpose other than yours
• Data can be hard to find

question 2. 250 words follow the same instructions as in question 1 asked but about India

After studying the content of “Assignments” try to design a research using your native country (India)
