Evaluating Market Research Tools

DO NOT REPORT ON A REAL COMPANY

As graduate students, you understand the importance of utilizing research to develop solutions to the problem statements associated with the writing assignment questions. The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate the different tools that can be utilized to determine the best locations to expand trade operations.

For this assignment, you will utilize the two international trade market research sites listed below (plus your own research strategies) to evaluate the best country to establish trade. Using the same company from the Week 4 discussion, examine the Market Analyses provided by GlobalTrade.net, located at http://www.globaltrade.net/international-market-analyses-reports.html. On the left-hand side of the page, there is a section titled, “Browse the Market Analyses by Industry.” Click on the industry that is closest to the selected company from the Week 4 discussion. Review the resources that this search yields in order to gather information on possible countries where the company could expand.

Next, using the same criteria, compare the information you located from GlobalTrade.net against the Market Research Database from U.S. Commercial Services located at https://www.export.gov/Market-Intelligence. You may also use the Internet or Strayer databases to conduct any additional research.

Finally, expand your research using information provided by the course textbook, company websites, country government websites, CIA World Factbook, Strayer digital library, or other expert resources.

Note: You may create and / or make all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment. The business can be any business of your choosing, although it is recommended that you choose a field that you are currently working in or have previously worked so that you are starting with more knowledge. However, you must remove any and all identifying information that would enable someone to identify the organization(s) that you have used.

Tip: Review previous discussion posts. You may have already started something on which you can expand in this assignment.

Use the basic outline below to draft your paper. Organize your responses to each question (except Questions 1 and 6) under the following section headings:

  • International Market Research by Industry (for Question 2)
  • Market Research Information (for Question 3)
  • It’s Your Call — Where Are You Going to Look When You Need Information? (for Questions 4 and 5)

Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper in which you do the following:

  1. Provide a brief (one [1] paragraph) description of the core industry associated with the organization (selected in Assignment 1) and provide a current assessment of the opportunity this industry offers for global trade.
  2. From your research efforts on the Global Trade site, recommend at least one (1) country that would provide market potential for this industry, as well as your company culture. Support your answer by providing your findings as they relate to key factors that would support this industry (consumer needs, economies of scale, adoption rate of culture, brand awareness, market stability, political stability, infrastructure, or logistical considerations).
  3. From your research efforts on the U.S. Commercial Services site, recommend a different country that would provide market potential for the industry and your company culture. Support your answer by providing your findings as they relate to key factors that would support this industry (consumer needs, economies of scale, adoption rate of culture, brand awareness, market stability, political stability, infrastructure, or logistical considerations).
  4. Determine which of the two (2) sites provides better marketing research information for developing an effective global strategic growth plan for your company and related industry. Discuss the reliable standards that are available to fact-check the accuracy and timeliness of the data provided by international trade sites.
  5. Describe the primary barrier to entry that may impact the success of your company’s international expansion. Provide a rationale for your response.
  6. Use at least six (6) quality references. Note: Wikipedia and other websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Evaluate the economic, political, legal, financial, and cultural factors of global trade.
  • Analyze global segmentation, positioning, and research essential for developing a comparative advantage.
  • Analyze the main drivers associated with market entry, pricing strategies, and frontline sales in the global marketplace.
  • Examine the main types of global distribution systems and global logistics.

Deliverable 4 – Evaluating Blockchain with Cryptocurrency

Competency

Evaluate technology used in digital transactions

Student Success Criteria

View the grading rubric for this deliverable by selecting the “This item is graded with a rubric” link, which is located in the Details & Information pane.

Scenario

You are the financial advisor for a large antique coin and gold distributor. Some of your large customers are requesting the distributor begin accepting cryptocurrency, which is possible because of blockchain technology.

The distributor has been accepting credit cards and money transfers for many years. The fees associated with transactions have continued to increase. The fees have become so large that the distributor has been forced to pass along the cost to customers.

Customers outside the United States have also requested to use cryptocurrency since currency exchange rates can fluctuate greatly depending on world events.

The distributor asks that you prepare a presentation to stakeholders in the distributorship, discussing the acceptance of cryptocurrency, which uses blockchain technology. Be sure to support your recommendations with credible resources. Using the assigned readings in this module is a good starting point. Research databases are listed in the Resources area below.

Instructions

You are tasked with preparing a presentation that will discuss blockchain technology, which could allow the distributor to accept cryptocurrency. The presentation will discuss the types of cryptocurrency, the advantagesthe concerns, and the risks related to using cryptocurrency in the business. The stakeholders may not be familiar with this technology so be thorough in your description of the technology.

In Microsoft PowerPointPrezi, or another presentation tool create the presentation. The presentation should be at least 6 slides and should accomplish these objectives:

  • Define blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies and how they work together
  • Evaluate the types of cryptocurrency technologies appropriate for the distributor
  • Explain how blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies create a competitive advantage for the distributor
  • Examine the risks associated with accepting cryptocurrency
  • Recommend that the stakeholders approve or deny the request to use cryptocurrency in a clear recommendation statement or call to action
  • Begin with a title slide
  • Use formatting tools to create visual interest and support the message visually
  • End with a References slide

NOTE – Be sure the document displays proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.

Week 3 discussion #1

Your instructor will assign you one of the following options by Day 1 of Week 3. Prior to beginning the discussion, review additional required resources this week associated with this discussion. In your initial discussion post, address the questions associated with your assigned option. You must provide your Option number at the top of your discussion post.

Respond to at least two classmates using the required response prompt for their option (e.g., if your initial post was Option 1, then respond to posts from Option 2, 3, and/or 4; if your initial post was Option 2, then respond to posts from Option 1, 3, and/or 4; if your initial post was Option 3, then respond to posts from Option 1, 2 and/or 4; or if your initial post was Option 4, then respond to posts for Option 1, 2 and/or 3). Your initial post should be 150–250 substantive words; your response post should be at least 100 substantive words.

Option 3: Patient Safety – Hot Coffee

Provide additional supportive evidence as to your agreement or disagreement. Your responses should be at least 100 substantive words.

quadratic equation

For Post 1, you will write your own quadratic equation. Your equation should be written in the form  y equals a x squared minus b x plus c . Use the guidelines below to write your equation.Let the value of a = the number for the month you were born; b = your shoe size; c = the number of children you have. For example, if you were born in February, wear a size 8 shoe, and have 4 children, your equation would be:  y equals 2 x squared minus 8 x plus 4Post 1 – When naming your post, include your last name. For example, DF 1 – Smith.

  1. Create your equation using the information in the directions. State your equation.
  2. Complete the table below. Show your work.
    Table of Ordered Pairsxy-2 0 2
  3. State in what quadrant or on what axis each ordered pair from part b is located.
  4. Graph your equation and capture a picture of the graph to post to the discussion board. You may use your graphing calculator emulator software or take a digital picture of your graphing calculator screen. The image should be visible in the textbox where you are typing your work. Do not attach it as a file. (Please follow the instructions above for inserting an image into your post.)
  5. What window did you use to graph your equation? (see pages 153-154 in textbook for more information about the viewing window)

Family Project Paper Assignment

Refer to the grading rubric posted in the Baby project module for  grading details.  Your goal is to apply the theories and concepts listed  on the rubric to make a cohesive story of your child’s life from birth  through age 18.

You are expected to incorporate the information you created for the  individual stage assignments throughout the semester.  But you also have  to add a specific introduction and conclusion based on the rubric.  You  also need to discuss some other cognitive and social/emotional concepts  that you did not address in the earlier assignments.  And in many  cases, you need to provide more detail in the examples you turned in  previously.

You can be as creative as you would like to be.  For example, you can  choose to provide a generic approach or pretend you are the parent, or  psychologist working with this family. Most students organize the paper  by the stages, then discuss all relevant concepts within those ages.   But you may choose to organize your paper in a topical way:  Piaget,  etc.   You may also insert photos or clip art if you wish.

Whichever way you decide to organize your paper, be sure to clearly  identify theories and the examples connected to them.  Since I am not a  mind reader, if you don’t clearly state that what you are discussing is  intended to be a reflection of Vygotsky’s theory, I won’t have any way  to know that.  You can put section and subsection headers or use bold or  italics or parentheses to highlight the theorist name or concepts you  are using.

It is expected that your final paper will be about 6-10 pages but it  is no problem if it is longer.  If it is much shorter than 6 pages, it  would be likely to be missing some elements but the key is to cover all  of the rubric sections in detail and with clear examples.

Below is a section of a sample paper that illustrates one way to  approach the discussion/application of the stages:  *** Be aware that  your paper also requires Bronfenbrenner’s theory****

See attached information that will also be needed to help with paper.

Hypothesis test for statistics

An Israeli researcher randomly assigned 48 college students to tables of 6 people to go out to eat. Half were to pay for their individual meals and half were to split the final check depending on their assigned table and they were told this before ordering. There were a total of 4 tables in each treatment (split or individual) for a grand total of 48 participants at 8 tables.  The cost of each person’s meal was recorded. Included here is the data file, please note we are only using the payment and cost columns.  Please also note the cost is presented in Israeli Shekel.

  1. Create a hypothesis test in the correct statistical language. What do you suspect happened and why?
  2. Go to StatKey  http://www.lock5stat.com/StatKey/bootstrap_1_quant_1_cat/bootstrap_1_quant_1_cat.html and select “Restaurant Bill” or use the attached file. Looking at the original sample which average bill was higher and by how much?
  3. Construct a 95% confidence interval using the randomization (bootstrap) and report a p value for your null hypothesis. Explain how you did it.
  4. Repeat this exercise using the formulas. You will need to know that the sample standard deviations are 14.33 and 12.54 for Split and Individual respectively.
  5. Draw a conclusion in correct terms of the original problem and explain why this is what you would expect or not.

Social Media and Community Engagement Essay

Social media channels are designed to be engaging, but they are often used by public health organizations and practitioners as a means to disseminate mass information, rather than to engage audiences in meaningful interaction. Harnessing social media to best achieve public health outcomes is a topic of much discussion and study in the public health community.

For this assignment, you will analyze public health communication via social media in your community. Follow a public health organization, local or national, on a social media channel (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or other) for at least 3 weeks. In a paper of 1,000-1,250 words, address the following:

  1. Describe the organization you followed and the social media channel you selected. What kind of information is shared on social media by the organization?
  2. To what degree does the organization engage with users/followers (e.g., responding to questions, engaging in conversation, hosting “chats” with experts, soliciting information)?
  3. What improvements or suggestions would you make to this organization regarding its social media and community engagement? Why? Use examples and evidence from the research literature to support your suggestions.
  4. Identify at least two benefits/advantages and two challenges/risks of using social media for public health communication. Use examples and evidence from the research literature to support the benefits and challenges you highlight.

Incorporate five resources to support your analysis.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide

HCAD 600

You are a member of your organization’s ethics committee.  At this month’s meeting of the committee, two issues were discussed.  The CEO has asked you to brief the new board chair on the importance of ethics in healthcare, how they differ from other industries, and how they apply to these specific circumstances.  Select one of the two following scenarios as the focus of your analysis.

1.  Hospital policy on influenza immunization.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have issued an advisory that the coming “flu season” is expected to be unusually severe.  CDC projects a potentially historic level of illness and flu-related deaths.

Response to this, the president of the medical staff has recommended that hospital staff, employees, and volunteers receive mandatory influenza immunizations.  With exceptions for those who are allergic and anyone with a valid religious prohibition against vaccination, those who refuse the immunization would not be allowed to work.  There is a small, but vocal, contingent of employees (including some nurses who are advocating for unionization of the nursing staff) who object to this policy, stating it is an infringement on individual rights and patient self-determination.

What issues should be considered in establishing this policy?  To what groups is responsibility owed?  What will you recommend to the hospital Board and C-Suite?

2.  Balancing Needs

Your facility is a critical access hospital (CAH) serving a largely rural catchment area.  The next nearest hospital, a comprehensive medical center is several hours distant.

During the monthly utilization review, the emergency department medical director noted a marked increase in cases of renal distress and failure, and that many of these patients do not have health insurance.  They have been treated in accordance with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), the federal statute that requires hospitals to assess and stabilize anyone presenting for emergency services, regardless of ability to pay.

The chief of medical services responds that end-stage renal disease requires ongoing evaluation and treatment, but that this is neither covered by EMTALA nor does the current medical staff have a specialist in this field.

What issues should be considered in addressing this situation?  To what groups is responsibility owed?  What will you recommend to the hospital Board and C-Suite?

1000 – 1200 word analysis of the selected scenario.

It  should include separate sections that summarize the relevant issues raised by the case, an explanation of why those issues raise ethical concerns, and how the ACHE Code of Ethics or a similar professional code of ethics can be used to determine the proper response by a healthcare leader.

The suggested topics reflect the types of situations you may encounter as a leader in health care.  They are complex and offer no clear options or solutions.  Your research, therefore, should include at least five scholarly sources.

A title sheet, abstract, body of the paper, and reference list are all required for this paper.  The body of the paper should not exceed 1200 words in total.

MS Word and in APA format, with 1-inch margins on all sides, double-spaced and 12 pt. Times New Roman font.

P.S if you can get it done right before the end of the day, I am willing to add an extra to the price.
