Examine the dynamics of the interprofessional team (physicians, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, health care administrators, etc.) in that setting. In a 1,000-1,250-word paper, explain how communication and collaborative strategies can be applied to ensure respectful interactions and to prevent or address potential issues among the team in that health care setting. Include the following:

  1. Describe the health care setting and summarize the various individuals or teams typically working together in that setting.
  2. Discuss what types of issues may occur and how these affect dynamics within the setting for health care workers and for patients and their families.

What is a boundary-spanning activity you could incorporate as a leader that would support a collaborative culture and enhance communication? Consider the interprofessional team you would be working with.
  6. Explain how employee satisfaction impacts patient care. Describe qualities of professional communication that contribute to acceptable interactions with patients, their families, and other health care professionals.
  7. Explain what your role is as a health care leader in helping to facilitate collaboration and clear communication among an interprofessional team, as well as with patients and their families.

Integrated Investigation Hypothesis

Integrated Investigation Hypothesis:

On that document, I was to see the following IN PARAGRAPH FORM:

  1. Three or four sentences introducing your study. Think of this like relating the inspiration for your research.
  2. A testable hypothesis exploring some aspect of your current or near future major or your desired career. You will be actually testing this hypothesis; so, try and think of a realistic one given your current limitations.
  3. One sentence (minimum) of how you plan on actually test this.
  4. One sentence (minimum) of your prediction of the outcome of your test/experiment.
  5. NO USE OF PERSONAL PRONOUNS. Do not include “I”, “my”, or “me”.

Example:

“With the increase use of technology in education, remote learning and student choice are both real possibilities to improve educational outcomes for students. Historically, students were often given one chance at tests and quizzes; however, computer-facilitated assessments allow for more nuanced grading without adding to an already overstressed teacher workload. This investigation will investigate whether or not computer-facilitated quizzes which students are allowed to take as many times as they choose results in different grades on tests, final exams, and overall course grades. This study will use results from university-level introduction to biology courses’ quizzes comparing average test grades, average final exam scores, and overall course grades between students that took weekly quizzes more than 2 times to those student that took quizzes less than 2 times per week. Assumptions are that students will have higher scores when given the opportunity to repeat quizzes until they feel confident to move on.”

M6 Assignment: Historical Research Paper Final Project

Instructions

  • Your final historical research paper should include an introduction with a clear thesis statement, at least five paragraphs (probably more) that address topics that support your claims, and a strong conclusion that summarizes your argument. Attach your final bibliography (not annotated) at the end and include a cover page (in all formats) with your name, date, and the title of the paper. The title should be more than the topic and should give the reader a sense of what the paper is about. Some examples:
    • Paul Revere: Statesman and Craftsman
    • The Salem Witch Trials: Fear and Superstition on the Frontier
    • The Frontier: A Meeting of Cultures and Ambitions
  • Make sure each paragraph contains at least one quote or other supporting evidence from your research, and that you use all your sources – primary and secondary (including the scholarly journal article). Primary sources do provide the best evidence, and a variety of sources provide event better evidence than a reliance on one or two sources. Always extrapolate quotations. Follow quotes with your own analysis or comments and explain how that evidence supports your argument.
  • Quotations should be no more than two or three lines long. People tend to skip over longer quotes. All quotes must be cited as appropriate for the format you have selected – in-text citations for APA and MLA, or Notes for Chicago Style. Remember quotations also require a page number if available in all the formats. Even though quotations are important as support, the majority of your paper (roughly 85%) should by your own words of analysis.
  • You may use illustrations or photographs as sources, but these should not be included in the body of the paper. If you decide that you must include these images, they should be attached as appendices and those pages do not count toward your page length or word count.
  • The body of your paper should be 5 – 7 pages in length, double spaced, not including the cover page, or the bibliography. This is roughly 1250 – 1750 words.
  • Incorporate feedback provided by your instructor and peers on your rough draft, thesis statement and outline, bibliography, and research topic proposal. This is all important, and while you are not required to incorporate every bit of feedback provided to you, you need to consider it all and make a conscious determination as to whether to follow the advice or not. Don’t just consider grammatical and mechanic feedback, which are lower order revisions. Incorporate higher order revisions such as idea development and content suggestions as well.
