Kim Woods, can you help me with a project management powerpoint?

In Unit VI, based on your budget and schedule, you need to develop a Project Communication Plan using  PowerPoint presentation that you will present to your sponsor and other stakeholders. You created a Project Budget in Unit IV for building a five-bedroom home in Ashburn, VA. In Unit V, you created a Project Schedule for that same project.

Be sure to use the following guidelines:

Scope: Explain the scope of your house-building project (one to two slides).

Schedule: Explain the schedule status including milestone status (two slides).

Budget: Explain the budget status including milestone status (two slides).

Assumptions/constraints: Explain some of the assumptions and constraints of the project (one to two slides).

Risks: Explain some of the risks that you have identified with the project (one to two slides).

Status: Explain the overall status of the house-building project (one to two slides).

Refer back to your Unit IV Project Budget and Unit V Project Schedule assignments for data and amplifying information for this presentation. Also, refer to Chapter 17 “Managing Project Communications” on pages 237-256 of your Project Management Absolute Beginner’s Guide textbook as your guide for creating your presentation.

Your PowerPoint presentation should be 8-12 slides (not including your title and reference slides).

Be sure to follow APA formatting for citations and references.

Green Ninja Smart Energy Project and Contest

Part 3: Reflection and Recommendations

Summary: Students will A) analyze energy data during the energy conservation phase and compare this with the baseline period; B) revise their energy conservation design in response to data and intended results; and C) reflect on the experience.

Details:

A) Analyze your and the class’ data during the conservation period, using the following criteria.

● What was your average electricity and natural gas energy use for the baseline period compared to the conservation period? Explain the changes observed (how much electricity, natural gas, and CO2 emissions were saved), and why you did or did not achieve your designed goal.

● Summarize the classroom energy use, comparing baseline with conservation period data. How large of a reduction in electricity and natural gas usage was there for our class? What about CO2 emissions? Who were the 5 biggest energy savers?

● How does your energy use compare with the average in Santa Clara County? The average home in Santa Clara County uses 540 kWh of electricity per month, or 18 kWh per day. The average home uses 45 therms of natural gas per month, (60 therms in winter and 24 therms in summer) or 1.5 Therms per day. Is your home above or below the average, and why do you think this might be?

B) Revision of Energy Conservation Design. Based on your data analysis and what you have learned, how would you revise your design in the future to produce further energy and carbon savings? Justify your suggested changes.

C) Reflection. Explain what you learned from participating in the contest. How easy or hard was it to make the changes for yourself and your household? Do you think some of the changes you made could become permanent? Do you think it would be easy or challenging for others to make similar changes? How could the city of San José encourage energy conservation in households?

To Submit: In 600-900 words total, provide your responses to A, B, and C. Include a screenshot of the online PG&E graph showing electricity and natural gas daily usage over the entire four-week period (baseline and conservation).

2 different PowerPoint?

Assignment 1 BSL 4080 Creative Thinking and Problem Solving (14 Slides)

One important point, after you choose the background and template, do not change the margins! In other words, no words or charts should appear in the margins. **Also, more than phrases are required on the slide**. Just a title and a couple of phrases is inadequate!

The presentation should have 14 slides,  not more, not less.  This is the list in the assignment, in the order required. Do not change the margins. All slides must have 1 inch margins just like APA papers.

NOTE: Font Cannot be smaller than 14 or larger than 20, except for the title on the slide.

You are a major stockholder in a multi-national corporation that is considering opening a facility in an underdeveloped country known for questionable human rights policies. The arguments in favor of the move include that it would provide employment for people who currently have none; it would decrease production costs, thereby increasing profits and return on your investment; and it would decrease the cost of the product for the consumers, potentially further expanding revenues and increasing returns. The arguments against opening the facility include the fact that companies operating in the region have been found treating employees badly by implementing policies such as extremely low wages relative to other countries, demanding long hours without providing overtime, and occasionally employing children. You are planning to attend a shareholder’s meeting at which this topic will be discussed. You have been asked to provide your opinion on whether the facility should be opened. Determine whether you agree or disagree with the proposal to open a facility in the region. For this assignment, create a PowerPoint presentation to convince the organizational leaders whether the described facility should be opened or not. The PowerPoint should be at least 10 slides, not including the title and reference slides, and does not require any outside research, although additional research can be used. The textbook contains information that can be useful for this assignment, so it is recommended that it be used. Make sure to properly cite the textbook or any other source used. For this assignment, make sure to discuss the following.

  1. Describe the issues to be addressed (two slides).
  2. Provide reasons for why you agree or disagree with opening the facility (two slides).
  3. Identify the role emotion plays in your recommendation (two slides). [Learning Outcome 2.1]
  4. Explain how any emotion did, or did not, impact reason (two slides). [Learning Outcome 2.2]
  5. Explain the reasoning process utilized to come to the conclusions reported in the presentation (two slides). [Learning Outcome 2.1 and 2.2]

Assignment 2 BSL 4040 ( 8 Slides) Communication Skills for Leaders

Create a PowerPoint presentation outlining guidelines for college students on how to have a successful interview. The presentation must be at least eight slides in length and use at least two references. You may include your textbook as one of the references. Be sure to cite your sources in a reference slide and use proper APA style. All sources and their use must have accompanying APA citations. Be sure to include the content listed below in your presentation.

  1. Describe the steps of an interview.
  2. Differentiate the three types of interviews: information-gathering, job, and appraisal.
  3. Discuss the interviewer and the interviewee’s roles during the opening, body, and closing portion of an interview.

Discussion: The Role of the Public Health Educator

How have public health education efforts touched your own life or that of your family or friends? Have these efforts improved your quality of life, increased your personal wellness, or even addressed broad social issues that impact you? Every day, public health education makes a positive contribution to the lives of millions. Public health educators are frequently a driving force behind these beneficial outcomes. What, then, are the roles of public health educators? What skills and competencies do public health educators need in order to fulfill these roles?

To prepare for this Discussion:

  • Review the role of the public health educator as discussed in Chapter 1 of the Cottrell, Girvan, and McKenzie course text. Consider the role of the public health educator in promoting public health.
  • Explore public health education job boards such as those listed in this week’s Learning Resources: American Public Health Association (APHA) CareerMart, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health Employment Connection, or Walden University Job and Internship Search. Evaluate the skills that employers require for public health educators.
  • Complete the Seven Area of Responsibility: Self-Assessment Activity and reflect upon the results. The Self-Assessment Activity is located in the Learning Resources.
  • Consider the job outlook for health educators/health education specialists.

By Day 4

Post a comprehensive response to the following:

  • Summarize your reflection on the self-assessment activities. Comment on skills and competencies you would like to further develop based on your results
  • A brief analysis of the role of the public health educator within the field of public health addressing the three prompts above
  • A rationale for what you consider to be the three most important skills and/or competencies required of public health educators
  • Which of these skillsets do you feel you have? Which would you like to improve on?

Support your posting with information from the Learning Resources. Be sure to cite references in APA format.

Discussion 2: Attention

Have you ever traveled a familiar route while so lost in thought that you barely experienced the details of the trip itself? Compare this to an experience in which you had to pay attention to a specific set of directions to get to a location you had never visited. How did the characteristics of each situation affect your experience? As these examples show, attention exerts important influence over perception.

Cultural and societal influences also affect attention. Consider DeGloma and Friedman’s (2005) example of “thieves and FBI agents [evading detection by posing] as garbage collectors” (p. 17). This strategy may work to conceal identity by leveraging societal views of blue-collar workers as people less worthy of attention. Because of the “invisibility” of such workers in the eyes of many, some may not register the existence of a unique personality within a uniform.

In this Discussion, think about theories of attention as well as cultural and social variables. Consider the relationship between all of these factors and cognition.

Reference:
DeGloma, T., & Friedman, A. (2005). Thinking with socio-mental filters: Exploring the social structuring of attention and significance. Conference Papers––American Sociological Association, 1–24.

With these thoughts in mind:

Post a brief comparison of one early theory of attention to the Guided Search theory of attention. Then describe how these theories apply to visual search. Finally, describe one cultural and one social variable that might influence attention and explain how.

Be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references to the Learning Resources.

Exploring Mental Illness Through Poetry #3

A creative and thought provoking element to this class will include reflecting upon and writing about a specific mental illness in order to understand what it must be like for individuals who struggle with any of the specific disorders discussed in class.  For this assignment, you will be required to compose a poem or a song (for you aspiring songwriters or music lovers) regarding the experience of a specific mental illness.

There is no required format or topic, as these are left entirely up to your own choosing and discretion. You may choose to be concrete or abstract, serious or humorous, or personal or theoretical, and you may describe the experience using first- or third-person pronouns. The poems do not need to be in a rhyming format. Anything goes!

However, you must have a poem that contains at least 300 words. Failure to meet the minimum word count will result in point loss.

In terms of grading, you will be judged primarily on content, rather than format or poetic language. However, be mindful that you must have a very clear understanding about the experience of the mental illness that you choose.

To earn an ‘A’, a poem must convey an excellent understanding (or be an excellent description) of anxiety, depression, psychosis, or some particular disorder (e.g., avoidant personality disorder). A ‘B’ grade is given to a poem that conveys a good understanding or description of the experience of mental illness. Some latitude is available for the evaluation of writing ability. For example, an adequate description of avoidant personality would earn a grade of B; an adequate description that is also well written (e.g., the poem’s lines contain the appropriate number of syllables for its rhyme scheme, and the poet’s choice of words is good) would earn a B+.

Please be aware that this is NOT a paper assignment and I do not want you to hand in an academic essay describing symptoms, treatment etc…This is your opportunity to understand mental illness in a less structured, creative and exploratory manner. You might want to talk to individuals you know who have struggled with mental illness, reflect on your own struggles or delve into case studies within the academic literature. I also suggest reading personal memoirs about these conditions. A number of books can be found at your local bookstore. Also, be aware that if you choose to explore a mental illness that we have not yet discussed in class, you will have to read that chapter and any other relevant material ahead of time. You can always set up a time to talk to me during office hours to clarify any confusing information.

I have always found it easier to tap into creative sources when I am feeling relaxed. The benefits of an elaborate dream, wonderful music, or a good film (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. (Links to an external site.) can help us escape the mundane and make us feel rejuvenated. All of us have the potential to be creative, even if you don’t write poetry, play an instrument, sing, dance or paint.  Most importantly, attempt to free yourself of judgment regarding your creative abilities. Consider the various ways in which you want to be creative, and like a child allow yourself to play. Throw out the rules or what you know to define creativity and just imagine.

The entire assignment is worth 60 points. 30 of the points will come directly from the poem that you submit. The other 30 points are tied to your ability to meet the requirements stated for the poetry posts at 15 points each.

A health needs assessment (HNA) of a community or group with a specific illness or issue

Design and conduct a health needs assessment of a community or group with a specific illness or issue. A 4,000-word Essay -Weighting: 100%

Got to be Public Health illness/issue. Community can be anything small or large – for instance, a community of people with type 2 diabetes or a community of people suffering from food insecurity. You need to focus on the definition of a health needs assessment and ensure you address all of the elements in it

Choose anywhere you want, any Country.

Introduce the importance of a health needs assessment and describe the process to set up what you are intending to do. However, it is crucial to critique what you will be doing to address the deeply entrenched health inequalities that impinges on peoples access to health and wellbeing resources. Louisa will be assisting you with critical writing after this assessment guidance.

Remember there is nothing more powerful than the voice of the marginalised. Therefore, how do you intend to engage with and meet the needs of members of the community to reduce these health inequalities – who are your stakeholders – co-production with a full understanding of the needs/voices of the marginalised. This requires critique.

Always check that you have fully met the LOS before submission. It’s a good idea to have these in front of you when writing the essay/presentation and tick off the LO’s that you have met

Good tip here is to possibly choose a topic throughout whole of the programme, so if type 2 diabetes or Food insecurity is your passion then build up your specialism for other modules including the dissertation — same topic different focus but a deep understanding of the complexities in and around your specialised topic area.

Follow the following Assessment Guidelines (Weighting – 100%)

Essay 4000 words

Design and conduct a health needs assessment of a community or group with a specific illness/issue

• Introduction conveying the remit of the essay/presentation.

• Identify the specific population or group and critically interpret the epidemiological and demographic data about the health issue and social determinants of health.

• Develop a sound argument for the choices that you make in terms of identifying and prioritising the health needs.

• Provide a rationale for your chosen design of health needs assessment and discuss the conduct of the health need assessment. Endeavour to recognise and address barriers and facilitators.

• Discuss must be critical and synthesis must be evidenced with reference to key issues such as power, stigma, empowerment, inequalities, culture, economics, deprivation etc.

• Conclusion should recap your key points and clearly articulate the implication for public health practice.

References – cite 20 academic sources and apply Harvard referencing correctly and there should be in-text citations after every two to three sentences within each paragraph.

• Proof read to avoid errors associated with grammar, spelling and syntax.

Example

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the profound insecurity as felt by marginalised populations such as Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups in Bradford.  A decade of austerity policies has resulted in reduced working hours; prevalence of zero-hour contracts; increased unemployment; and the inefficient implementation of the UK welfare system have led  to an increase in food insecurity in the UK (House of Commons Women and Equalities Committee HCWEC 2020; Marmot et al. 2020; National Institute for Health Research NIHR 2020; Human Rights Watch 2019).

The pandemic has disproportionately impacted segments of populations, with BAME groups identified as being at significant risk to the effects of the virus due to overcrowded households, health inequalities and deprivation (HCWEC 2020; Whitehead 2020). Additionally, the pandemic has exacerbated pre-existing food-related inequalities (differences in the ability to access food across social groups) experienced by BAME groups (HCWEC 2020; Sustain 2020).

Whilst most of us Whilst most of us take food for granted, we are witnessing stark differences in the way that some people experience the food system in the UK. Despite being the fifth richest country in the world, an estimated 8.4 million people are cited as encountering instability in terms of their access to food and a healthy diet (Coufopoulos and Mooney 2012; HCWEC 2020; NIHR 2020). Current evidence suggests that due to the deeply entrenched health inequalities BAME people’s risk to food insecurity is 1.5 times higher than their White British counterparts (Power et al. 2017; Weekes-Bernard 2017; Loopstra et al. 2019; Loopstra 2020; The Food Foundation 2020; Westwater 2020).

In a systematic way working with our stakeholders, we need to assess the food related health problems facing the BAME a population due to their experiences of food insecurity. As demonstrated above, the COVID pandemic has exposed how, why and to what extent certain groups such as BAME appear more prone to illness than others and pinpointing any inequalities in terms of service provision.

We have now identified that the BAME or sub-sections of the BAME community in Bradford requires a health need assessment. Can now do a HNA focusing on its definition and ensure that we address all of its elements to agree on a list of priorities to improve healthcare for the BAME community in terms of food insecurity in a particular area – Bradford.

Another example could be the prevalence of type 2 Diabetes in the UK-based South Asian men living in Bradford. Here, you could highlight the gaps in our understanding of Type 2 diabetes in the UK-based South Asian population as well as to identify the health needs of this community. Here, Population migration from the Indian subcontinent countries of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh (South Asia) to many parts of the world has resulted in over two million South Asian people living in the UK today, which represents 4 per cent of the total UK population ( Daiabetes UK 2017). Alarmingly, South Asian people who live in the UK are up to six times more likely to have Type 2 diabetes than the white population, and with Type 2 diabetes prevalence in England predicted to increase by 47 per cent by 2025, the condition will continue to have a considerable impact on South Asian communities across the UK.

With South Asian people living in Bradford at such an increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and more likely to experience some of the serious complications associated with diabetes, this Health Needs Assessment  is both timely and essential. It is hoped that this NNA will encourage collaborative relationships and dynamic partnerships to flourish between researchers and organisations alike, to work towards achieving leaps forward in our understanding of Type 2  diabetes and all its complexities in  the South Asian male population living in the Bradford.

Project 4: Develop the Training and Operations Plan

Instructions attached!!!

Please use this template for the written portion (Microsoft Word) of Project 4.  Remember to address all items on the template in enough details that I can tell you understand the associated competency.

Professor’s Notes:

This week you are beginning to Develop a Training and Operations Plan for the BallotsOnline cloud.  Project 4 has two parts.  A 5-8 slide PowerPoint presentation for cloud user and admin training, AND  an 8-10 page Cloud Operations Plan (Microsoft Word).  It is important to note that all the work you do will be part of the final report. Keep that in mind as you progress, and your final runbook will come together a lot faster.  PLEASE click down to step 7 and review the competencies that are required on the final project.  This will help you ensure you are capturing all the required elements as you do your research and writing over the next three weeks.

This week you are deploying the AWS Service Catalog as described in Step 2.  Remember that you are deploying these services so that you can ultimately prepare a training presentation and Operations Plan.  Document the deployment steps for the Admin Training presentation you are creating for Project 4.

you are beginning to assemble key deliverables for your Project 4 Submission.  In this week you are preparing a PowerPoint Training Presentation for the different elements of cloud user and cloud admin use of the AWS Service Catalog., AND you are starting to prepare a Microsoft Word Cloud Operations End-User Guide.  Per the instructions, your presentation and guide should include key information related to cloud use for BallotOnline users as well as administration for the admins.  Your presentation should be five to eight slides long.  Narration is not required; however, you need to add narration text as notes on each slide.  This will be a required element for your Project 4 submission, so I recommend you start doing adding that element now.  Remember your Audience!  You are preparing a presentation for people that do not have a deep IT background.  Make sure your presentation takes this into account.

The second part for this week is to create your first draft of the Cloud Operations End-User Guide.  This will be part of the Cloud Operations Plan that you will submit as part of Project 4.  The End-User guide Template in Step 5 gives you some guidance on this activity.  Remember, this is only one part of your final Operation Plan, so keep your length reasonable.

As always, pay attention to the competencies for Project 4 and study the learning objectives to make sure you are addressing the appropriate topics.

Assignment Details

Assignment Description

The next important step in the process of systems integration is to evaluate your options. It is always recommended that you compare at least three potential options to make the best decision. Based on what you determined as the best evaluation method during this week’s Discussion Board, you will apply this evaluation method to the three potential system integration options that you are considering.

Assignment Guidelines

For this week’s assignment, you will be providing detail on 3 potential options for pursuing the system integration project, the evaluation method you will use to compare each, and the overall quality assurance considerations that must be met.

  • New Content (Week 3)
    • Enterprise System Integration Analysis
      • Refine and describe in detail the list of quality assurance considerations that you determined in the Discussion Board to be ranked highest.
      • Thoroughly describe 3 potential options that you are considering for moving forward with the Systems Integration Project.
    • Systems Integration Approach Evaluation and Selection
      • Select and describe in detail the evaluation method that you plan to use to compare the 3 options.
      • Design a table or matrix to perform your evaluation comparison. The evaluation criteria should include quality objectives and organizational capabilities and considerations and should use some type of weighted priority scheme for ranking.
      • Fill in the table and use ranking criteria to determine which is the best option for you to proceed with for the system integration project.
      • Summarize by discussing which is the best option based on the results from the previous step.
  • Make sure that the document is in APA format.
