project plan overview and preliminary project plan

All teams will be using the project of “Building a House” to complete a project plan. You are a construction company that builds homes.

Why you are building it/how is up to the team. Please note that the project plan concepts, etc must be detailed or you will have issues submitting future assignments related to the project. Here is what I mean in just a few examples. In the past some groups have just said that they intend to buy all materials at Home Depot and that is the extent of their procurement plan….or all team members are experienced so there are no risks so that is why none are listed and explained (yes I am serious I have seen these and the teams score rather poorly) Do not do this. You must have details and carry out the plan to adequately address all concepts for the course. I am not asking you to be an expert home builder but you have to have enough detail to APPLY the scenario to the concepts we are looking at in the course…at times you will have to use your imagination and come up with your answers…..for example: When looking at risks I have had teams in the past go to online text/books/websites and search and search for home building risks when this is completely unnecessary…..you are wise enough to think of your own risks that can come with building a home….I am sure you can even think of some now (i.e. the workers do not show up on time (by the way can’t use that one since I just gave it to you)……in other words do not feel that you have to research everything.

Preliminary Project Plan

Write at least a hundred words per section:

·        Project Selection Criterion: Describe the building project and the criteria used in the selection process. Do not just say we selected this because our Instructor told us to build a house….use something like you decided to build a house for orphans vs other possible items because XYZ.

·        Overview: The objective of this section is to provide an overview of the scope (what is in scope for the build (i.e. building a garage….not building a swimming pool) and nature of the project to help enable the team to select one project to work on for the rest of the course.

How to Populate an Evidence Table?

POPULATING AN EVIDENCE TABLE

Introduction

Finding, organizing, appraising, and synthesizing evidence are all essential skills that scholar-practitioners must master. An excellent tool to facilitate these tasks is an evidence table, which enables you to capture and summarize key information from multiple sources and serves as a concise and well-organized overview of the literature.

Becoming familiar with the evidence table and its use now will prove invaluable as you progress through your program and begin working on your doctoral capstone project. Using the evidence table to document and analyze the evidence you’ve gathered in a literature search will enable you to develop a coherent synthesis of your findings.

Preparation

Compile the peer-reviewed studies you’ve collected over the past five weeks as you’ve researched organizational challenges that present opportunities for evidence-based improvement.

Instructions

Analyze the peer-reviewed research studies you’ve collected and add key information to the Evidence Table [XLSX]. Then, critically appraise three of the studies and synthesize your findings.

Unused columns on the worksheet can be hidden from view. This five-minute video shows you how to hide and unhide columns in an Excel worksheet.

Requirements

The assignment requirements, outlined below, correspond to the scoring guide criteria, so be sure to address each main point. Read the performance-level descriptions for each criterion to see how your work will be assessed.

  • Analyze each peer-reviewed research study.
    • At a minimum, add the following information to your evidence table:
      • APA Source Reference.
      • Aim, Hypothesis, or Research Question.
      • Research Design/Methodology.
      • Measurement Method.
      • Sample Population or Setting.
      • Research Variables.
      • Data Analysis.
      • Findings.
  • Critically appraise each peer-reviewed study.
    • Address each study’s methodology, research questions, theoretical basis, findings, and possible application.
    • Do not accept articles at face value.
  • Synthesize the findings from your analysis and critical appraisal of the studies.
    • Explain how these sources relate to one another.
      • Identify commonalities and differences in research questions, methodologies, and findings.
      • Consider both supporting and opposing points of view.
  • Apply APA formatting to in-text citations and references.

Project scheduling assignment

  1. Refer to exercise 9 in chapter 6 of the textbook. Read the assignment thoroughly and analyze the data provided in the diagram.

Using Microsoft Project, compute the project network diagram and proper timing to complete the project. Address all required information in the description presented in exercise 9. In addition, respond to the following questions:

  1. Determine which tasks are on the critical path. How long will it take to complete the project (hint: note that Microsoft Project provides this information)?
  2. A task that is on the critical path for this project has increased by 7 days.  Will the project end date be delayed? If so, by how much?

Place your responses into a Microsoft Word file.  APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

You are not required to submit this portion of the assignment to LopesWrite.

  1. Complete Chapter 6, Exercise 18 (Optical Disk Pre-installation Project) in Larson and Gray. Use Microsoft Project and create a project schedule based on the information provided in the problem.  Will the project be completed in 45 weeks?  In your Microsoft Project file, insert a text box in the Gantt bar area (go to FORMAT – DRAWING – TEXT BOX) and place your response in the text box.

Submit your Microsoft Word file and your two Microsoft Project files.  Ensure that your last name is in your file names.

   9. You are creating a customer database for the Hillsboro Hops minor league baseball team. Draw a project network given the information in the table that follows. Complete the forward and backward pass, compute activity slack, and identify the critical path. How long will this project take? How sensitive is the network schedule? Calcu-late the free slack and total slack for all noncritical activities.  How did animal-assisted therapy become prominent in healthcare? How is it used in physical and cognitive therapy?

People have had animals as pets since the beginning of society. All social orders from the beginning of time have kept pets: hairy, off-putting, catlike, equine and canine. “As early as 10,000 BC, archaeologists have excavated the remains of a puppy buried and cradled in the hand of a human” (Hajar, 2015). Creatures cause individuals to feel better – and a pet can improve wellbeing. Pets can ease forlornness, lessen pressure, tension and gloom, advance social cooperation, empower exercise and energy, and give unrestricted love. Really focusing on a pet can assist kids with becoming secure and dynamic or give significant friendship to more seasoned grown-ups. Maybe in particular, however, a pet can add genuine satisfaction to any human existence (Hajar, 2015).

Playing or stroking, even watching animal activities brings down the degree of cortisol and expands the creation of serotonin, making us less stressed. One investigation found that pet proprietors have lower circulatory strain and pulses than non-pet proprietors. Another investigation showed that kids with hypertension brought down their circulatory strain while petting their canine. By and large, pet proprietors have a lower danger of kicking the bucket from any cardiovascular infection, including cardiovascular breakdown. It has been shown that feline proprietors have less strokes than individuals who don’t claim felines. Analysts have additionally discovered that when youngsters experience childhood in a home with a canine or feline they are less inclined to create sensitivities (Hajar, 2015).

For individuals with diabetes, an unexpected drop in the degree of blood glucose can be intense. A few canines can make their proprietor aware of a hazardous drop before it really occurs. They might be reacting to substance changes in the body that radiate an aroma. The caution gives the proprietor time to eat a bite to maintain a strategic distance from the crisis (Hajar, 2015).

Problems of communication, social connections, and psychomotricity are frequently described by intellectual hindrance, which frustrates day by day exercises and expands the danger of falls. AAT can be helpful as a correlative, powerful treatment for patients with various levels of psychological decay. Since presently accessible medications have restricted ability to hinder the movement of dementia side effects, it is important to create nonpharmacological techniques exhaustively treat individuals with intellectual impedance or dementia. AAT meetings may relaxingly affect individuals with dementia and advance member inspiration by including a creature as a restorative middle person (Rodrigo-Claverol, Malla-Clua, Marquilles-Bonet, et. al 2020).

There is proof that AAT may profit patients with hemiparesis because of stroke, with aphasia, and with horrendous cerebrum injury. Strolling with a canine can stimulate correct posture, recapture energy, and advance appropriate development, just as improve equilibrium and step work. Moreover, the cooperation between the patient, the treatment animal, and the therapist has been appeared to make a setting that improves correspondence and certainty (Rodrigo-Claverol, Malla-Clua, Marquilles-Bonet, et. al 2020).

Risks and Benefits of Sustainable Operations discussion post

Although sustainable operations have many benefits for organizations, consumers, and society, they also come with many business risks. In this discussion, you will explore sustainability operations of major organizations to reflect on what they are doing well, the benefits their sustainable operations may bring, and the potential risks associated with their sustainable operations. In evaluating the risks and benefits of prioritizing sustainability, you will also learn the importance of justifying organizational priorities, which will assist you in completing the first section of your course project.

First, take some time to explore a few different organizations’ sustainable operations statements on their websites. You may explore organizations you are familiar with or use the following:

In your initial post, address the following questions:

  • How did the organizations you explored address sustainability concerns inherent to their industry, if at all?
    • For example, a company that manufactures plastic has inherent environmental risks regarding plastic waste and pollution.
  • What other sustainable practices did the organizations you explored identify as priorities, and what kinds of business risks may they be taking on to prioritize those sustainable practices?
  • Do you think that the business risks the organizations are taking to prioritize their identified sustainable operations are worthwhile from a business perspective? Why or why not?

The French Revolution

1. How would you think Louis XVI’s characteristics as a pioneer prompted the French Revolution?

Louis didn’t have the foggiest idea how to lead everybody viably, and everyone examined knew this. Louis had never expected to lead anything in his life, so he wasn’t for the most part sure on how it should be finished. Everyone was worn out on being led by an unpracticed pioneer, so they started the upheaval, needing their freedom from the impulsive ruler.

2. What were a portion of the reasons for the French Revolution in this program?

The contemplations and arrangements from the Enlightenment persuaded the French to differ with their master. The Americans toppled the British and asked the French to fight for their adaptability also. The standard residents were enraged about working.

3. What was the “Edification”?

Who were a portion of its significant scholars and essayists? The Enlightenment was a philosophical improvement of the eighteenth century, it was depicted by its trust in the energy of human explanation and by headways in political, strict, and educational fundamental. Issac Newton, John Locke, Voltaire, Charles-Louis of Secondat, and Jean-Jacques Rosseau were indisputably the most enticing authors and scholars of the Enlightenment.

4. For what reason did the French public have such bad inclinations toward Marie Antoinette?

People could have done without Marie Antoinette regardless since she wasn’t from France, she was from Austria. At the point when she was hitched to the ruler, she was unable to convey a recipient to the throne. It wasn’t her fault, the master was the one with the issues, in any case, everyone normally blamed her. She was likewise going through all the money by spending it on pieces of clothing and jewels.

5. What was the “Announcement of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen”?

How can it identify with the U.S. Constitution? the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen is a record the portrays the individual and total advantages of the decency, pastorate, and standard individuals. The Enlightenment decide that is in the Constitution affected the Declaration.

6. What was the Third Estate? Which bunches in French society did it incorporate?

The Third Estate was one of the three homes that made up the country of France. The Third Estate was involved everybody that didn’t possess all the necessary qualities to be in the underlying two homes. It was involved workers. These were the ones that expected to pay charges considering the way that in the thoughtful’s brain they don’t do anything steady of him.

7. One of the students of history met in this program calls the French Revolution “the junction of the cutting edge world.” What do you think this implies? Do you concur with this case?

I accept that they inferred that it made a huge difference. It clashed with these thoughts that had been proceeding for a significant timeframe. There could have been not, at this point additional advantages or rulers. Their whole way of life changed and they completely changed the manner in which things would have been done starting there on.

8. From the outset, it appeared to be that King Louis XVI would help out a portion of the requests of the Third Estate. For what reason do you think he eventually responded so fiercely against them?

I accept that potentially from the outset he might not want to irritate them any more than he as of now had. By then, he reviewed that he was the ruler and he was the one that was in charge. The likelihood that they would get together and struggle with him wasn’t persuading because it had not been done at some point as of late.

9. What sort of pioneer was Robespierre? Do you figure he worked effectively of addressing the desires of the French public?

Maximilien Robespierre was a respectable pioneer of the French until the moment that it got to him he detected that all the French expected to tune in and take after his considerations. The even more exceptional he transformed into the less standard he advanced toward turning out to be.

10.What was the part of ladies in the French Revolution? Would you be able to think about certain instances of their commitment to the Revolution from this program?

The women of the French Revolution were the ones that gave the sustenance to their family. Whenever the expenses of bread went up, the women would revolt about that. By far most of these women were the ones that worked in the fish publicize so they were colossal, strong women. They, generally, blamed Marie, so they revolted the regal home with points of butchering her.

11.Why do you think the underlying objectives of the Revolution turned out to be so mutilated during the “Rule of Terror”? For what reason do you think Robespierre had such a lot of dread of political backstabbers?

I think the basic targets twisted up obviously deformed considering the way that now Robespierre was exorbitantly clamoring sending people, to the guillotine when they talked one wrong word about the Revolution. People were taking off to the guillotine so fast that Robespierre was restless about the likelihood that the other political pioneers would turn on him and sentence him to the guillotine.

12.What do you believe were the main long haul impacts of the French Revolution? What were its inheritances?

The opportunity of the economy from magnificent control, the solicitation of weight and gauges, and the progress of a uniform customary law code. All considered, the French Revolution doubtlessly put off the economy, rather than putting it ahead. Starting the Revolution was a legacy in itself. Countries saw that the French did it, and now figure “”why can we?”” Nationalism was similarly another legacy. After the Revolution, nationalist packs were outlining. Also, the possibility that all of the occupants was same, instead of having a magnificent subject managed everything.
