Cause and Effect Paragraph Draft

After reading Chapter 9 in Along These Lines, write a draft cause and effect paragraph. The paragraph should contain the cause and affect elements you have been learning about in this module.

The paragraph should be well-developed, which means: you need a topic sentence, supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence (clincher). The paragraph should be unified and coherent with specific supporting details or examples for support. It should provide sentence variety (simple, compound, and complex sentences). The sentences should be clear, concise, and arranged in a logical order. Transitional words and phrases should be used to provide coherence. Choose one point of view: first, second, or third person.

Complete and submit the draft of your cause and effect paragraph to Smarthinking no later than Sunday 11:59 PM EST/EDT. Smarthinking can be accessed by clicking the Services link under Resources.

NOTE: When you submit your paragraph, you need to let them know it is a cause and effect paragraph. The tutors need to know it is a paragraph, not an essay, and which kind of paragraph you are submitting.

ALL WORK MUST BE ORIGINAL, CITED, IN APA FORMAT & WILL BE SUBMITTED TO TURN IT IN. ESSAY MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 1750 WORDS, NOT INCLUDING THE TITLE PAGE. DUE DATE IS SUNDAY 05/02/21 @ 12 Noon EST.

Assignment:

7S Model and Stakeholder Analysis & Ethical Issues

Develop 1750 word essay based around a force field analysis framework. Basically, what should be done here is to delineate a list of specific helping forces (rememberforces actually extant at the time of your analysis – not ‘wished for’ forces) and hindering forces that will likely to influence the ultimate success of your recommendations within the context of your project. This force field analysis should be populated with the results of your analysis of the 7S factors, as well as your stakeholder analysis. In this way, the 7S model tool, other tools noted in the previous resource section, and certainly stakeholder analysis will be critical variables likely to influence implementation.

Organize your report using the following sections:

  1. Likely helping forces or forces likely to support or otherwise facilitate successful implementation. Remember, these could be any of the 7S model factors or they could have to do with key stakeholders who are likely to be important initiative supporters. Make sure to provide enough elaboration so that each force is specifically described in detail enough for someone not familiar with your organization to understand. This should also be done with the hindering forces noted in the next section.
  2. Likely hindering forces. Again, drawn from your 7S model and stakeholder analysis.
  3. Your plan on leveraging the helping forces to help promote successful implementation of recommendations. (See action plan summary of force field analysis document above, if you would like to use this template format. It is not required.)
  4. Your plan on mitigating the negative influence of likely hindering forces. (See action plan summary of force field analysis document above, if you would like to use this template format. It is not required.)
  5. Ethical Issues pertinent to your project analysis and/or recommendations

Assignment 1: Case Study #1

Overview

Throughout this course, you’re learning how to use problem solving and self and social awareness skills to practice the key concepts of psychology. You’re discovering how self and social awareness and problem solving work together to help you understand the perspectives of others, examine situations objectively, and use evidence to develop and make decisions. With this case study assignment, you’ll have the chance to put your skills to work!

Read the case study below and use your problem solving and self and social awareness skills to help a co-worker work through a difficult situation.

Case Study and Questions

Gloria is a recent college graduate and a single mom to 16-year-old Gary. Gloria and Gary used to be close. But recently, Gloria has noticed that Gary is only focused on what his friends think about him. Gary recently snuck out of his bedroom window and went to a party when he was supposed to be studying for a big exam. Gloria caught him coming home and smelled alcohol on his breath and marijuana on his clothes. Gloria is shocked and appalled by her son’s recent behavior and grounded him for two weeks.

Gloria comes to you because she needs some advice on how to handle her son’s poor choices. Using what you have learned about the adolescent brain and social development in Chapter 3 of the webtext, answer the questions below to help Gloria understand why her son is making such poor choices, and pose some recommendations to help her solve her problem:

1. What physically happens to teen brains that make it difficult for someone like Gary to weigh risk and reward?

2. In addition to their brains changing, teens change socially too. Why may Gary value his peers more than his mom?

3. What specific strategies or advice would you recommend that Gloria can do to help her son to make better decisions?

4. Place yourself in Gloria’s shoes. How do you think Gloria is feeling? How can understanding her feelings help you offer constructive advice?

b6111 wk4 assignment brilliant answers

With the increasing use of digital payments and the decreasing use of  cash payments, enhanced digital security and tracking of financial  transactions have become significant aspects of many businesses. The  executive director of operations of Centervale Apparel has asked you to  research this issue and prepare a presentation for the executive  committee to educate them on these issues. You remember hearing that the  National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) is a leader in  this field and would be a good place to start your research.

Review the following:

  • NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association. (2011). News headlines. Retrieved from www.nacha.org

Using the Argosy University online library resources as well as NACHA’s Web site article to complete the following:

  • Describe NACHA and its role.
  • Examine and explain the Automated Clearing House (ACH), its role, and how it relates to NACHA.
  • List and explain the key participants in an ACH e-payment.
  • Describe the key initiatives currently underway at ACH.
  • Identify and analyze at least four digital payment concerns  Centervale Apparel might want to consider in light of what you have  learned from NACHA.
  • Use the Notes function in Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare detailed  speaker’s notes for your formal presentation to the executive committee.

Develop a 3–5-slide presentation in PowerPoint format. Add speaker notes. Apply APA standards to citation of sources.

Physical science

Write an APA paper that addresses the three of the following topics:
Conduct research either using the textbook, journals, articles, news reports, and as a last resort online website and provide a summary of the following concepts.  The format of your paper must follow APA format guidelines only to the extent you use in-text citation to indicate where you obtained your information.

1. Discuss: Define Work and Power.
2. Define the types of Energy and provide examples.
3. Discuss the Fundamental Law of the Conservation of Energy and its ramification.  How does the Conservation of Energy impact the environment?
4. Explain and summarize the Kinetic Molecular Theory.  Explain the concept of solids, liquids, and gases.
5. Explain the relationship between temperature, volume, and heat
6. Explain in your own words, the first and second law of Thermodynamics.

Make sure you follow the APA rules specifically to document your in-text citation and your reference page. If you have a question, please let me know. The templates below are what I expect your paper to look like.  Make sure your paper is in word doc format only; NOT IN APA format.  I need to have it in word format in order to make comments on your paper.

Legal Analysis Paper

Your assignment is to locate an article that deals with a current legal issue and then write an analysis of that issue.  The legal issue must be related to one of the topics we have talked about, or will talk about, in class, i.e. copyright, trademark, contracts, First Amendment, right of publicity, etc.

After you have found an appropriate article, the first thing you need to do is briefly summarize the facts in the article.  Next, identify the legal issue raised by the article.  Remember, there are two sides to every story or there wouldn’t be a dispute.  For example, in an article about a breach of contract suit, one party will be claiming a breach occurred, and the other party will be arguing there was no breach.  Be sure to accurately summarize the legal arguments of both parties.

After you have clearly identified the issue, the next step is to state the rule or rules of law that apply to this issue.  Then, apply the law to the facts in the article and decide how this issue should be resolved.  In other words, apply the legal principles you learned in class to determine which party has the better legal argument.  Be sure to fully discuss the reasons for your decision.

Your paper should be 3 – 5 pages in length, typed, and double-spaced and include a title page and bibliography.  You should use footnotes for citations.

FIRAC is an acronym for the basic steps in legal reasoning.  As explained below, FIRAC stands for Facts, Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion.  Here are the steps you should follow when writing your paper:

Facts – briefly summarize the facts of the case as stated in the article

Issue  – identify the legal issue involved  (i.e., what is the nature of the dispute?;  copyright infringement, breach of contract, libel, etc.)

Rule –  state the rule or rules of law relevant to the legal issue (i.e., if the issue is breach of contract, the rules of contract law are relevant and should be stated in your paper )

Application –  apply the relevant rule(s) of  law to the facts of the case  ( i.e., discuss how the rule(s) of law apply to the particular circumstances of this case)

Conclusion – decide how the legal issue should be resolved and why (i.e., which party has the better legal argument? Why?)
