Motivational Strategies – Milestone 3

Motivational Strategies – Milestone 3

Context: In the past two weeks you have covered a lot of materials, including innovation, change, diversity, and motivating employees. You’ve applied these concepts to your chosen company in the Week 4 discussion and in this week’s discussion, looking at the changes occurring in your company and at how your company rewards their employees. In this milestone you’ll build on your discussion prompt research and dive even further into employee motivation concepts.

First, be sure you have read Chapters 7 through 10 in the text.

Next, please watch the following video clips from the lab:

·  Chapter 08: Concept Clip: Performance Evaluations/Appraisals

·  Chapter 09: Concept Clip: Big Five Personality Factors

·  Chapter 09: Concept Clip: Perceptions

Requirements: Review the research you and your classmates did in the Week 4 discussion relevant to change and in this week’s discussion relevant to motivating employees. Look for patterns and connecting concepts. For example, during a period of change, what was most motivating for employees? Then review the Chapter 8 and 9 videos on performance evaluations, personality factors, and perceptions. Finally, construct a plan that you feel would most effectively motivate the human capital in the company you have been researching for your final project.

Your third milestone submission should address the following requirements:

1.  Explain whether you will or will not implement a formal performance evaluation process and defend why or why not.

2.  Describe reward system you will use to motivate your employees, in detail, and why you have included each element (base pay, commission, bonus, stocks, benefits, holiday, vacation, etc. (the list is endless, so be creative!).

3.  Describe your approach to rolling out and managing the change process required to transition from the current reward system to your new system.

a.  What strategies will you use to manage the change?

b.  Will you be transparent in your communication or does some compensation information remain confidential?

c.  What are the most likely roadblock or resistance to change and how will you plan proactively for success?

Your third milestone submission should follow APA format, be well supported with a minimum of five recent sources, and be a minimum of five pages long.

Remember: The goal is to demonstrate critical thinking and application of concepts as well as how they interact. Key to this assignment is human behavior and how people respond to reward, motivation, and change. Be specific in your responses and defend why you chose the approach you did. It’s easy to create a list of rewards, but more challenging to really defend why they are most appropriate and how you will manage the change effectively.

Mission Statement DP

A well-written mission statement can provide the momentum and motivation to take a company to the next level. The same is true of personal mission statement. If you thought about yourself as a company, what would you say about yourself? What values drive you? What is your marketing message? What is your reason for doing what you do?

While many organizations have mission statements, few individuals do. What is the purpose of a mission statement? How is it created? What types of things should go into a mission statement?

A lot of thought and reflection should go into the drafting of a mission statement, whether for an organization or an individual. Drafting a personal mission statement forces you to think deeply about your life and your experiences and helps you identify what really matters to you. It also serves to help clarify your values and goals, which then allows you to create a strategic plan for achieving your goals.

Note: Developing a strategic plan requires specific steps that need to be executed in a sequence. The assessments in this course are presented in order and should be completed in sequence.

Develop and write your own personal mission statement. Be clear about your passion, values, goals, and philosophies. Once you have your mission statement articulated, explain how it:

  • Expresses your image of yourself.
  • Expresses your values and philosophies.
  • Identifies what you have to offer.

Explain how your mission statement answers the following questions:

  • What are your economic goals?
  • What is your philosophy in terms of quality and image?
  • What are your core competencies and competitive advantages?
  • What “customers” do you serve best?
  • How do you view your responsibilities to those who rely on you?

Format this assessment as a research paper, following current APA guidelines for both style and citing sources, making sure that you also use correct grammar and mechanics. There is no required minimum or maximum page length; however, you should strive to be as detailed as possible in addressing each bullet point while also being as clear and concise as possible.

SOCW 6311 wk 6 Discussion: Program Evaluation: Benefits and Concerns of Stakeholders

SOCW 6311 wk 6 Discussion: Program Evaluation: Benefits and Concerns of Stakeholders

All questions in bold then answers 300 to 500 words without questions

Dudley (2014) points out that social work practice is usually embedded in programs. While you looked at practice evaluation using single-subject design in Week 3, this week, you shift focus to program evaluation. Program evaluation serves many purposes, including accountability to funders and to the public. Often, funding sources such as government agencies or private foundations requires periodic program evaluations. These evaluations can help provide answers to many different questions, and can contribute to improvement of services. There are a variety of program evaluation models that are appropriate for addressing different questions as well as facilitating the collection and analysis of many different types of data.

To prepare for this Discussion, identify a program within an agency with which you are familiar, which could benefit from process evaluation and outcome evaluation. You do not need to identify the agency in your post. Also, review the different evaluation models highlighted in this week’s resources (needs assessment, program monitoring, client satisfaction study, outcome evaluation, or cost benefit study).

Post a brief summary of the program that you selected. I live in Tacoma Washington I work for CHI Hospice and intern at Sound options elderly care This is social work

Recommend a program evaluation model that would answer a question relevant to the program.

Explain the potential benefits of the program evaluation that you proposed (both process and outcome).

Identify 2–3 concerns that stakeholders might have about your proposed evaluation and how you would address those concerns.

Then explain 2–3 concerns that stakeholders may have about your proposed program evaluation and how you would address those concerns.

ESSAY Reserved for Hifsa The Fire Next Time

By Thursday 3/18 write a 750-1000 word critical essay on The Fire Next Time. You are encouraged to offer your own insights, but you might consider some of these thematic questions: What are the principal arguments that Baldwin is making in this extended autobiographical essay? How does the first part of the book, “My Dungeon Shook,” set up and amplify the second part, “Down At The Cross”? From the perspective of the year 2017, are the author’s concerns in 1962, just as the Civil Rights movement was gathering steam, still relevant today? If so, how and to what extent? What is Baldwin’s view of religion, and how does he use his experiences as an adolescent preacher to advance that view? How did Baldwin’s intellectual awakening impact his faith? What elements in the African-American church of his youth most appealed to Baldwin? What connections does Baldwin draw between his budding teenage sexuality and his religious vocation? What is the purpose of Baldwin’s account of his meeting with Elijah Muhammad, leader of the Nation of Islam? What is Baldwin’s view of the white majority population in the America of his time? Does Baldwin’s rhetoric seem angry, and if so, to what purposes is that anger deployed? Is Baldwin hopeful or pessimistic about the future of race relations in the United States? How does this text relate to current issues of interest to you and your generation?

Advanced Pollution Prevention

This unit has focused on the impact of pollution prevention (P2) on ecosystems and biological communities. For this assignment, locate two articles from the CSU Online Library that address the impact of P2 on ecosystems and biological communities. You can either discuss each article separately or weave them together. In your critique, discuss the following elements:

  • the thesis of each article,
  • the significant points brought up in the articles that contribute to the field of P2,
  • how the use of P2 concepts reduced harm to an ecosystem/biological community, and
  • the harm that would come to the ecosystem/biological community if P2 was not used.

In your paper, ensure that you present an insightful and thorough analysis of the articles. Limit the number of direct quotations from the articles. The vast majority of your paper should contain paraphrased information from your sources and should include your own critique of the articles you chose. Your paper must be at least three full pages in length. A title page and references page must be included; however, these pages will not count toward meeting the minimum page requirement. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
