Imagine that you are hired as a data analyst for a bank. The bank would like to learn more about its customers’ spending and banking habits to identify areas of improvement. You have been asked to review the bank’s income statements over the last 5 years and identify trends that will allow them to better understand their customers.

Download your chosen bank’s annual income statements from the last 5 years from the Mergent database in the University of Arizona Global Campus Library. Review the Mergent Online: Accessing Mergent Online (Links to an external site.) resource for tips on accessing and searching the Mergent database. Use the “Company Financials” tab in Mergent to access the income statements.

Identify three variables or categories that the bank may be interested in further researching, such as sales or revenue. Using these three variables or categories, build a frequency table, a bar chart, and a pie chart using Excel. You will be using the same three variables in each table and chart, so the same data will be displayed in three different formats.

Today’s world of business is significantly impacted by technological advances. This blurring of boundaries between the physical, digital, and biological world is referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR). Advances in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, the internet of things (IoT), 3D printing, genetic engineering, quantum computing, and other technologies impact the way work gets done, how products are produced, and how companies achieve their objectives. Regardless of the company’s size, age, or industry, advances in technology such as artificial intelligence are making their way into the daily practices of companies, and companies must consider the implications of the Fourth IR when developing strategic plans.

Consider the role these advances can play in your selected company’s strategic planning. Then, compose your initial post by addressing the following guidelines:

Title: Impact of Technology on Job Design

Make sure that you focus on the organizational design and structure of these items when writing your paper.

Overview

Write a brief critical synopsis of each journal, book, etc. on your topic. After going through your reading list, you will have an abstract or annotation of each source you read. Later annotations are likely to include more references to other works since you will have your previous readings to compare, but, at this point, the important goal is to get accurate critical summaries of each individual work. Each reference must be formatted per APA and listed before the synopsis.

An annotated bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic (“Annotated Bibliographies”, 2021). 

Instructions

For all sources used in your Literature Review you should: 

· You should have a minimum of 15 sources. 

Required resource: 

Daft, R. L. (2016). Organization theory & design (12th ed.). Boston, MA: Cengage Learning.

• Provide      an APA formatted references (this should look like what you would      include in a normal reference section.) 
• Summarize      the source and discuss the research study that      was conducted and what the findings were.

Each annotation should look like:

In your summary, you will begin with a discussion of the research question the study is attempting to answer. You will summarize the research that was conducted and the specific findings that were uncovered. You will then provide a summary of what this means for the topic. 

Next, you will discuss how the source compares with other sources in your paper and how useful is the source in attributing to your writing. 

Finally, you will discuss how the source is useful in your Literature Review You will need to be specific on why it is important to use and exactly how you will use it in your writing to shape your arguments.
