3 journal entries

 JOURNAL  :
a) Write a journal entry response to movie “Sky Ladder” and make use of concepts you learned in Berger’s “Ways of Seeing” series to help you think about your response to “Sky Ladder.” (Note that in your writing book and movie titles should be italicized) (don’t need to watch the whole movie, you can just google the “sky ladder”) 

b)   Watch the TED talk “Finding the Story Inside the Painting” (linked below).    Find a painting that you find interesting in the way that Tracy Chevalier describes in her TED talk (how she explains the way she approaches looking at art and why some art catches her attention). Write a very short story about the painting. Include a link or an image of the painting.

c)  Read book “How Art Can Make You Happy” and take notes on what you find interesting or surprising or what you anticipate might be useful / helpful to remember as we continue to talk about and think about art this semester. Notice what connects to the above TED talk assignment.  Write a journal entry summarizing your notes.  (don’t need to read whole book, you can just take some points from it)

250-500 words per journal, please include all 3 journal entries in one document, but separate and label them clearly.
