Steve usually tries to tell the truth, but he thinks that it is okay to lie occasionally to get ahead or to avoid an inconvenience. Showing up to work late today because he had overslept, he tells his boss that he had to stop for gas. He thinks to himself, “Just a little white lie…”

If you were Steve’s friend, what would you tell him?
