Your Pecha Kucha presentation should consist of 20 total slides that advance automatically every 20 seconds. On the Transitions tab in PPT, adjust the “Advance Slide” settings to 20 seconds (uncheck “mouse click”) and apply to all slides.

Assignment:

As a capstone to your work this quarter, you will share your project in an interactive, Pecha-Kucha-style presentation. This should not be a boiled down version of your research, but rather a compelling discussion and argument for why your audience should support the action you propose. Consider different approaches to the presentation and be sure to practice beforehand. Be creative. Be persuasive. Make it enjoyable for your audience.

Your presentation should:

  1. Tell the “story” of your research this quarter—this may include both successes and failures
  2. Introduce the topic of your policy brief and cite key findings
  3. Introduce your call to action in a way that is interesting and compels us to join the cause
  4. Showcase the depth and breadth of your knowledge, as well as your passion for the subject. Don’t bore us.
